Great video! I am using Blender (or a program of its kind) for the very first time. I don't know the hotkeys yet, but once I get them down this video will be great! Thanks for putting it out there and in such a brief video; there's nothing worse than watching a 20 min video and gaining nothing from that watch. This is giving me a great foundation!!!
ive just started modeling for a game of mine i plan to make. still ALOT to go, gotta learn coding but im working on a zebra model for the game. i couldnt find any good modeling softwares, but i found blender. was so hard to work with that i almost also gave up on it, but i found this video, and this is helping me alot to work with modeling my zebra. thank you!
I didn't start blender yet I thought that I have to be a drawer or I can't make things like that U gave me some hope xd Can u make a tutorial doing this with a real person or an anime character?
If you have hidden it, press ALT+H to unhide hidden objects. If it doesn't show up, you accidently deleted it and have to add it again like shown in this tutorial, gl
@@BuvesaGameDevelopment no i didn’t deleted it ,it still there but I can’t see it It just shows a yellow border when my mouse moves over there Is it related to I add volume scatter?
Do you know if 2.93 changed something regarding the reference images? Because I added an image just like you did, but when turning on X-Ray I can't see the image through the mesh.
Not that i'm aware off. Make sure you are in front view (numpad 1), have the reference image behind your mesh, select your mesh, go to edit mode & then select x-ray mode (alt + z). Hopefully it should work then :)
@@BuvesaGameDevelopment I just hid my Blender config files so it would load new, factory ones and now it works. I'll have to look up what are the different between the factory settings with what I have. Thanks for the quick reply! Edit: it seems I had too high my X-Ray value 🤦🏻♂
Video was great and I have my awesome sword model that I manage to recreate into a 2.5D mesh. Did you do a video on how to add a blade edge to it? I'm stuck there
@@BuvesaGameDevelopment well I was able to make my blades edge pretty easily combining the Ctrl R method adding vestices and then collapsing them at specific points so the mesh is done to my liking. Do you personally add textures in Blender as well or do you export to another program?
Haven't used blender in a while, this video got me up to speed thanks!
Same

how do you change the pivot point of a reference image?
how can you only scale it side to side and not front and back?

it is very cool!, so the REFERENCE IMAGE converts a 2D image to 3d object?
Nope, you model it based on the reference image. Check full video to see and try

Same here.
Mine didn't work, it just came up pink, like the texture was missing
When I choose my image it's just a pink square?
i followed your every step and i can't move the grey box at all
Also do the same steps on the keyboard. G to move :)
