It's always surprising how one sided people look at Dany and her "arc" and justify her tyranny. Every culture she has been exposed to has been destroyed and left to pick up the pieces. She has killed every leader(lacks diplomacy) disregarded cultures and customs(lack of empathy or understanding or people she "rules") had no plan on how to make the places she was better but how they can help her reach her goal, and left a power void everywhere she had been and yet people still call her a ruler..? If you where a person from these cities she would be no different than a terrorist with real weapons of mass destruction because they do not like hearing no you can't have my ships or money or no we do things differently here than the way you would. Some of the slaves looked at their situations as an honor. And all the same time she is just trying to take over a country that she has no true claim to and why just because she wants it not to make Westeros a better place or anything and yet everyone cheers for her. She is just a self righteous delusional brat who has had everything given to her because she is beautiful and fire proof. She doesn't know how to lead she is not a fighter she lacks diplomacy she is just stubborn.

This episode is a 10. But there are different levels of 10.
Like.. every episode from season 1-4 is a 10. But inside of that, there is another rating. This episode is a CLEAR 10. But compared to s4e8, it's maybe an 8.
I just love how Game of Thrones is so damn good that this argument becomes a thing in the first place.
Game of Thrones has no bad episode expect some episodes in season 5.
Can like most episodes for something, either an altercation, character movement, or a major battle, nerd soup this one is a weaker one as far as season 4 goes and should have been marked accordingly. 7.5

I always thought that Cersei's attention to Brienne herself (both at the Purple Wedding and in this episode, when she calls her "that great cow" that brought Jaime home) was another impetus for Jaime to send Brienne away to find Sansa. I think NCW even said at some point that he knew he needed to get Brienne out of KL to keep her safe.
And Brienne is definitely in love with Jaime by this episode. Thanks to GRRM for writing that scene where Cersei calls her out on it in 4x02. Do you guys think anything will come of that in S8?
elvisglasses 5 I’m definitely expecting the tension between Jaime and Brienne to be resolved in season 8. Whether that’s Jaime dying in Brienne’s arms, confessing there’s something there but not acting on it, sharing a kiss before battle or actually fucking, we’ll have to wait and see. They’re finally on the same side so they’ll be spending lots of time together once Jaime gets to Winterfell.

The Craster’s Keep scene with so much rape right in our faces and the idea of “fuck then til they’re dead” like they really are just objects with their screams of pain and terror...just as a woman who has been assaulted. It was definitely the most disturbing and I fast forward through it every time.
I love every single one of your revisits but this one was by far one of the most hilarious ones you've done I was crying at the image of the abandoned baby coming back as a white walker and yelling at Bran & at the master not knowing the common tongue and thinking the slaves are coming to cook for them and are so nice XD

Been waiting for this all week
It's pretty great how this show sets up its heroes. Danny fights for slaves since she was a slave (of sorts) her whole life. Tyrion fights against injustice since he was treated unjust for being born a certain way. Jon was a nobody in the eyes of everyone compared to his siblings and he fights for everyone equally...low or high born. Arya fights to avenge her family, and by extension so does the Hound and Brienne. and Sansa wants anyone who wronged her to be killed...since she learned from Cersei and has been wronged by everyone not her family. (and Tyrion)
For Dany's arc, I wish there was more complexity to the ruling. Specifically with the slavers. GoT does villains/antagonists so well and gives layers to them and I really feel all the slavers are just generic greedy dickheads. I would like if there was more of a dialogue between Dany and them. Seeing as the conclusion at the end of season 6 is literally just to kill all the slavers, I just feel disappointed. Also feels like in retrospect, its all just padding time
I think the books cover it better.

I always thought locke and jon had an interesting dynamic and maybe would have liked to have seen the locke character respect jon a bit for his rise to power as a bastard. There was certainly an aspect to locke's character where he had a lot of animosity towards noble born people that I feel like Jon would naturally appeal to. Not a loss for the show by any means, but it would have been an interesting direction
now see for me, I never really saw Locke as anything other than a fairly psycopathic (tho nowhere near Ramsey's level) villain. Jaime was already enough into his redemption arc that by the time Locke cut off his hand, I hated him for it. And then when it gets as far as when Jaime is trying to leave that place with Brienne and Locke's giving him a hard time, I simply wanted to see him die a painful death.
Lol as someone who's name is Justice I loved you guys saying it in all the different voices 😂

Here are the major differences between the show and the book: Jaime in the book, practices with ser payne and not bronn, brienne in the books never meets with Sansa, instead she meets Lady stoneheart ( cateyn revived from the dead ). The show completely cut off Arianne martell and Quentyn martell, young Griff, Jon connington. Sansa never weds instead Jayne Poole married ramsay as a fake Arya stark, Sansa still remains in the Vale as Alyn stone.
"The one true king of Whiskeros"....ahhh, I appreciated that, maybe more than I should have? 👀

In the books, Bran, Coldhands, Meera and Jojen all make Sam swear that he won't tell anyone, especially Jon, about Bran. There are many moments in Sam's chapters where he thinks to himself that he is going to tell Jon, but then he always remembers that he swore he wouldn't and he ultimately never does tell anyone.
I agree with Aaron, if you give out 10's to everything, then the 10's become meaningless.
