Pedro Pascal's Oberyn Martell needs his own GoT series (prequel/BetterCallSaul-style) to make up for how badly the Dorne storyline got screwed.
@@TheMotherofTacos They don't even need to show them. Focus on his string of lovers he had the Sand Snakes with.
They could then be recast as infants. @@LordBloodraven
@@magister343 Ah, the Deadpool-Solution, years after the failure is dead and buried (thanks, Euron & Cersei) do it again but do it properly.
That would be amazing! Pedro Pascal is going to be busy though with the new Star Wars TV show "The Mandalorian".
He's too old Oberyn seems like the type that has been fighting and traveling around the world for yrs probably after the war and Elia's death
These reviews made me realize how much I miss the Arya/hound dynamic. I wonder if they'll get some sort of reunion in the final season
I bet she has to kill him mercifully
Those episodes were the best in the show imo.
Even though plenty of people seem to have a laundry list of issues on D&D's overall handling of season 7 (though which I don't really much agree with), not even THEY could shit the bed so badly as to not have Arya and the Hound have plenty of a worthy, satisfying reunion in season 8. hell it seems like this is practically what like half of the premiere episode will be about, a bunch of character pairing reunions.
Kevin W this didn’t age well
She was absolutely right to smack her cousin, boy shoulda been smacked years ago and more than once. Boy ain't right.
I've often wondered how much of Peter Dinklage's personal experiences inform his performance as Tyrion. Some scenes that dwell upon his dwarfism are pretty harsh and must surely evoke unpleasant memories. But I guess utilising such life experiences is grist for the mill to committed actors.
Excellent point! When a role is similar to the actual life experiences of the actor.. Like being a dwarf, it isn't just a requirement for the role but a genetic defect he'd had to struggle with their whole lives...
Have you seen him in his appearance on 30 rock??? 😂😂😂 Might be the funniest little person situation ever. It’s absurd and cringy. And becomes hilarious.
I always thought Selyse was so entranced by Melisandre, that her delusion made her see what she wanted to see honestly.
Nathan Matthews oooh i love this theory!!
Me too. She is soooooo brainwashed
Hot Pie, the great messenger of Westeros.
The Pie that was Promised.
Hot pie will tell Jon Snow Rhaegar and Lyanna are his parents
@@jonathanblaze1648 Well done!!
Only a 2 day wait!?! You guys know my heart!
Twice in one week??? THIS A DREAM COME TRUE (I’ve actually been waiting my whole life for this moment)
Omg!! I looooove you guys!!! Twice in a couple of days!! I’m re watching season 7 episode 6 right now!! Couldn’t wait for you guys... I’ve steamrolled ahead! 😆
I have heard another theory about why Melisandre still looks young without the choker in this scene, but I am not sure if it makes any sense because I dont get it. The claim is, that Selyse actually knows about Mel's true age and she sees her as an old woman all the time while everyone else (or maybe only the men) are decieved by her magic... and so are we, the viewers.
It would explain the Lust potion line.
Lady's and gentlemen...
We got him.
Aaron’s face as censor...I’m rolling 😂🤣
Baelish "in a perfect world you would have been my daughter" then he kisses her and tries to get in her skirts
Me: How Targaryen of you!
Omg...when Baelish kisses Sansa 😂😂😂😂 you guys are hilarious!!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen.....we got'em!
I was so hyped for Oberyn, and a possible team Tyrion, Oberyn Bronn wreaking havoc
That'd be great. Bronn was definitely down to stay in the brothel with him the first time they met
Twice in two days! It’s an early Christmas miracle! 😝😁
Oh god please beat box the GOT theme tune, I'd love that 😂
Omfg and just like that "The Viper and The Mountain" review is almost here. I still can't believe George R.R. Martin killed off one the most charismatic characters in GoT ever. It is still shocking.
I love that wolf bread call back. Such a warm moment for this show.
I know, and I guess they ate it, because why doesn't Pod pull out the bread when they meet Arya? What an icebreaker!
I see y'all with these fast uploads! 🙌🙌
Imagine the conversation a Beau asking Aaron to fight the mountain for him lol
Noah Rodrigues 😂😂😂😂
Yessssss!!! Great way to round out my weekend!
That Barry White/Reek scene was hilarious and I'm legitimately sad that it's gone.. I would have saved it or at least watched it again..
That "we got 'im" moment around 30:30 was hilarious!
Brienne of Tarth being one of the MOST honorable in Thrones -- Truly wonder how long she carried Hot Pie's wolf-bread around trying to give to Arya ! (If someone knows from books I'm very curious?!)
Run through a wall ranking :
1-Jon
2-Oberyn
3-Robb
4-Tyrion
5-Davos
6-Stannis
7-Robert
8-Jamie
I like watching you guys while I am warming up and cooling down on cardio days
Thanks guys! I love these recaps. Keep it up!
You're just banging these out now! So good to fill up the hours until April.
two videos in one week? yesssss!
Got notified...liked it, commented on it..and now my watch begins...
YES, I’m so glad that someone (you guys) finally gives that scene between Tyrion and Oberyn its due! Beau talks about this show making him cry from time to time. “That’s not a monster, that’s just a baby” gets me every single time. And I hadn’t realized these two were in the same episode until now, but possibly the runner-up for most emotionally-potent moment in 7 seasons of GoT is “Given the chance, what do we do to those who hurt the ones we love?” Even though we know Littlefinger’s entirely manipulating Sansa, that line is just SO damn good and Aidan Gillen sells the HELL out of it. Damn, what an episode. Damn, what a Nerd Soup review. Great way to start the week, thanks gents.
Love you guys! Thanks for the upload 😀
Just gotta say, the banter between you two at the beginning of each episode makes me chuckle every time.
The uploads stay lit! but seriously when can we expect a Grey Area collab?
IDK they need to get her volume and voice under control if they're going to do something with her I think she would actually ruin the dynamic. I like her insights and theories but every time I'm listening with headphones I have trouble keeping the volume right when she starts talking loud as hell for no reason
I think Mel's necklace is simply a mistake. Not a big one so I'm not bothered by it. But in the books Mance is definitely wearing a ruby to make his glamour work so you can't use that example to explain away Mel's bath scene unfortunately.
Dude another upload? Hell yeah
Love the channel and these GoT reviews. I can't wait for the next one. I'm rewatching The Mountain and the Viper now. I forgot how great this episode is. 10/10.
Dudes!!!! Thank you for get back on these. You are on fire.
getting
I’m blessed to be early 🙏🏻 I love this series so much it’s embarrassing 😫
This episode has always stood out to me as one of the best, because It seems like it's FULL of perfectly written dialogue sequences.
There's the three equally compelling conversations between Tyrion and Jaime, and then Bronn, and then Oberyn, about who will be his champion. (Conversations in which Peter Dinklage's acting chops are arguably at their all-time best.)
And then we get awesome dialogue with Daenerys and Daario, when he sneaks into her room, and then with jealous Jorah the next morning lol even the most, "forgettable," scene, the bathtub chat with Melisandre and Queen Selyse, would be the Emmy scene in any other show.
Then we go to Jon trying to convince Alliser Thorne and the First Builder to plug the tunnel.
Then the Arya and the Hound share two Awesome scenes, (and I haven't even gotten to the scene in which Brienne and Podrick meet Hotpie!)
Then the snow Castle scene Sansa and Robyn,
(smack 👋💥) and then Sansa and Baelish. (smack 💋💥)
And then, to top it all off, Sansa is assaulted by her crazy Aunt Lysa, who they end the episode with a shot of falling lol after being pushed through the Moon door to her death!
This episode, and the next, are the best chapters in, "A Storm of Swords," and also in the show!
Thanks for the great work!!
Just gotta say, that was some of the best intro banter yet.
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! I love you guys as badly animated cartoon characters. If I saw you as real people I would probably feel differently. Awesome decision going with the adorable animation.
Can't wait for Pedro Pascal's live action Star Wars TV show "The Mandalorian".
Hell yeah two over Thanksgiving break!
Two videos in 4 days?!? A man is not worthy of this blessing but will take it. Praise to the many faced god.
Shireen is definitely from GRRM, but the reason why is almost certainly different.
Calling it, grey scale out break at the wall, Shireen is blamed and burned, even though I think it's gonna be from patchface.
Favorite opening of any of these
I watched this episode a couple days ago. That scene with Arya and The Hound where she cleans his wound, as simple as it is, is visually spectacular.
Definitely one of my all time favorite episodes. So many memorable scenes.
The Aaron pasties on Melisandré 😂😂😂👌 fucking hilarious
You guys are churning these out I fucking love it. You guys should review so much more content. Games, books, more shows. Keep it up! I hope you guys become bigger than all of the boring screenjunkies type media channels that think they have something important to say about pop culture.
Thanks for the videos guys
No Joke.... I have been sitting around waiting for this to come out..... FINALLY!!!!!! I love your G.O.T. Reviews!
cant wait to come home and watch this..
Picking up the torch really reminds me of vision and the hammer.....awesome
“Ladies and gentleman we got him” straight LOLd 😂
You guys are awesome, favorite channel on RUclips.
Shit was just reading A dance with dragons and thought Mance Rayder had died , had my reservations because of what he was screaming , but i guess i now know the truth , thanks aaron.
A pleasure as always. 👍🏻👍🏻
I needed this
Hey Nerd Soup- I’m predicting the last 3 episodes of season 4 are all tens. Definitely my favorite season!
I almost fell out when I saw another review!!!
" probably something negative..." nice one, I had to laugh
Oberyn, you got this! just don't get too cocky.
Aaron’s neck joke had me rollin 😂
On point editing.
The wheel of fortune gag is gold
18:54. Daenerys's hair is perfect. Daario couldn't have been that good.
Nerd soup, I'm a new fan. Just found y'all! I'm loving GOT breakdowns so much, then I see a video u did on Bob Iger stepping down at disney. I have to ask, do y'all follow qanon? I do. Y'all would do cool decodes, I bet. Thanks for yer vids!
I've said it once and I'll say it again, the Lannister family drama is the best part of the show. I think the best actors on the show are all Lannister's.
One after another, I love it
I love these videos
Time flies... could've sworn Friday was two days ago...
Listening to this vid through headphones in work and when that music came in i shat myself
I can't wait for the re-upload because I believe....I believe I can fly too! Lmao!
Never clicked away another video this fast
I wondered why she didn't have the necklace on. Thanks for helping answer this musing.
this is crazemazing! 2 videos in two days :)
The bloke who plays the MOUNTAIN is in reality this year's WORLD'S STRONGEST MAN
Several times he's won
So good!!! :-) ♡
Little Finger pushing Lysa deserved some sort of this is Sparta animation remix xD
Yes!! 2 in a week!!
Thank you ❤
I dont think i deserve you guys... Thank you so much
watching it on the way home from thanksgiving dinner and they said SIKE!
I'm so looking forward to Sansa and Arya meeting Sandor again... their reactions are totally unpredictable... from like a warming embrace like a friend who helped you on the way... who opened their eyes more and more to reality... who protected them.. even wanted to save them... both... in the end he was totally devoted to Arya. He would have lived and died for her.. he might be the last true night.. with a brutal honest attitude :D
Love u guys
Thank you for 30:25, you have made my year
I love the way they repurposed a Dimple whisky bottle for that scene between Daenerys and Daario.
13:40 funny giggle by alien man
the meme is straight gold
Lysa Arryn and Littlefinger is an unrequited love, that lead to horrible ends to everyone.
The edit at 30:24 always has my dying
I fuckin love this channel.
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard as I did at 30:20 😂😂
One of the writers said that the Sheeren sacrifice was one of three holy shit moments that GRRM told them -- origins of Hodor being the second and a third at the very end of the story -- so yeah, it's almost a certainty that Sheeren will be sacrificed, whether or not it goes down like it did in the show, I doubt.
"Hizdar Zo Loraq" That's right! ding ding ding
😁
Dude, Melisandre has the necklace on her ankle. Boom, solved.
