In a sold out Gallus Hall (Cankarjev dom, Slovenia) Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra performed Eurovision contest winer from 1977, L'oiseau et l'enfant. It is energetic performance at the end of the Concert. Orchestra did great job. I heard this song for the first time in 1977 when I was 7 years old. Still love listening to it after all these years.
Purement beau. Le cœur de Marie Myriam (l'interprète à l'Eurovision) doit être comblé. Bravo au maestro et à ses jeunes musiciens et une petite pensée pour la clarinettiste dont j'oublié le nom. Qu'elle m'en excuse. Je tombe sous le charme de cet orchestre que j'écoute chaque soir.

How familiar are you with the similarities and dissimilarities between Slovenian and French?
One being a slavic, the other a romanian language, I suspect they'd have a harder time pronouncing stuff than for example English native speakers, where half the language has origins in France. Have you heard Americans speak French?

Moi J´adore le français, je parle correctemant là langue! je sui portugais! Et vou les français n' arrive jamais à parler autre langue... OBRIGADO!! Il ne exite pas comme les portugais pour parler d'autres langues comme en anfan et comme il faut! Même! Portant, vive là France, ps: vous n'est plus le centre du monde... Domage! Nous Français parler une seule langue ??? Mince alors moi qui travaille en hôtellerie 4 étoiles dans un haut lieu touristique j'oblige mes clients à parler français ...... Non mais sans rire je parle couramment 2 autres langues et j'ai des bases dans 2 autres langues. Et désoler mais tous les Portugais que j'ai dans mon hôtel ne font aucun effort pour parler anglais voir un peu espagnol !!

Vocally they are good, but the pronunciation is really awful. There are also many mistakes in the text. I wonder if they understand what they sing.
They're Slovenian, so there's a good chance they do not.
They’re Slovene. They have Slovene accent. However text was ok and French could understand it (at least French part of my family says so).
There were a few mistakes here and there in the lyrics, but they held on, and didn't let it show. The orchestra was superb!
Ehh Bah! Il ya encore des efforts à faire en ce qui concerne la prononciation, ce n'est pas encore ça! De plus plein d'erreurs y compris dans les paroles...Aprés tout je doute qu'un francophone ferais mieux en slovène? Ce qui compte c'est que les gosses semble être bien amusés pendant le concert et puis si c'est avec une chanson française, tant mieux! Félicitaitons, bien que...et ce n'est pas Marie Myriam et son record de toute derniére gagnante de l'Eurovision en...1977!!! Ehh oui, 40 ans! Et Vive la France qui reste à la fois courtisée et detestée par toute l'Europe! L'Eurovision c'est peut être le meilleur baromètre!

L'interprétation est fabuleuse, les musiciens sont enthousiastes, les voix magnifiques et peut importent les erreurs de français car elles chantent avec leur coeur, ce qui est l'essence même de la musique, encore faut-il avoir du "coeur" pour le comprendre!
