Nice one. Brought back memories of fishing ponds as a kid. The sounds of the birds and the bells , I'll never forget.

It's a very quiet and beautiful pond! Fishing in this classic beautiful pond is very good. Thank you for the wonderful video.

A very welcome surprise after a long day at work being tethered to a stove all day! I have to say as much as I love fishing the pole for Roach and Skimmers there’s something quite undeniably magical about fishing a secluded pond and what an amazing soundtrack the Birdsong provides to the whole experience. Good stuff mate and a great tonic at the end of the day.

Totally agree on the confidence thing. Mind you the weather has been pretty variable so far this year and for some reason venues have been really slow as a result. Wonderful spot and some good looking pristine fish. Well done.

Nice video Tom. I love that pond too. On some days it's magical with birds, church bells and cruising fish. Nice to see one of the little tench we stocked coming out.

I wondered if it was a new one. They’re a respectable size. How big were the crucians?

Tench and crucians were about 6-8", 50 of each.

Sounds like you know this pond intimately do you mind me asking is that a private water or is it on a club ticket, fully understand if you want to remain a secret, as places like this are so few and far between.

Cheers mate. Glad you enjoyed! It was quite an enchanting evening, so not catching much didn’t matter at all (but I wouldn’t have said no to a carp or 2)!

Idyllic English pond and Tench . The church bell topped it off. Imagine it on a Misty summer morn

what is the best fishing spot (region) in England or Wales to go fishing with a tent and be completely alone with absolute no one around. For 10 - 14 days. Just informative as we want to go within 12 months or so.

Sadly getting hard to find, I fly fish alot in the Welsh mountains, rarely see people, but that does mean moving around. There are some remote, quiet places on Dartmoor too.

Scotland would closest fit your requirements, you have the right to roam and there is some very out of the way country, lots of river,lochs/mountain tarns and coast line. If you’re hardy enough,Cape Wrath would be the place to go...

rare as hens teeth waters like that, i have not fished for two seasons now as i just cant find anywhere that has not been commercialised or buggered by various means i need solitude and peaceful places like this to just sit and fish with cane pin and watch my quill float bob about in the ripples and never knowing what will turn up next. i understand that a little farnham farm pond you once fished has also now been stocked with 200 carp i found out just before i was going to re-join i told the committee member what i thought of their decision.

Yes, shame about that pond. Just had another of my magic little places destroyed in a fish kill☹️. Check out godalming club though: they have 2 nice little places. Busbridge lake, and another one I forget the name of.
