Enoch's mask is a traditional Roman cavalry face mask, it is meant to serve a similar function to the Japanese samurai masks or the pig helmets knights wore, to bring fear by taking out the human face and changing it with something inhuman, demonic or monstrous. In my opinion the Roman helmet is easily the creepiest and they are invoking a greatly similar feel here.

I definitely think the Rakatans are the end game here. I think it's telling that Baylon says the mothers are fleeing something even more powerful than themselves, and kind of implies they may have first come to the SW galaxy for the same reason. So like, they come to the SW galaxy, the Rakatans follow them, conquer it, and then the ancient uprising Luthen refers to in Andor drove them back across the void. An ancient species steeped in the force that once built unprecedented weapons and monuments would both be something the nightsisters would fear and someone like Baylon would want to seek out

Also I think Baylon is supposed to be more of what the legends books use to call Grey force users, which is why I don't think his and his apprentice lightsabers are the orange tent and not red like we see that undead sith's lightsaber was pure red before he was slain by Asoka. Its why Baylon doesn't want to just kill Asoka, he isn't just a pure sith trying to kill jedi and take over he wants to reset the cycle to one with no war.

Hi from Ecuador, just loved that the resurrected stormtroopers have Kintsugi, which roughly translates as 'joining with gold' (kin is 'gold' and tsugi is 'join'). It is a centuries-old Japanese repair technique which uses urushi (Japanese lacquer) dusted with powdered gold to restore broken ceramic and porcelain vessels. The witches must have made that spell! Incredible!

Peridea seems pretty clearly named after the word "perdition," an outcast state of punishment after death. There's no doubt the Great Mothers bear a certain corrupted resemblance to the Force Priestesses of the Wellspring; I think your Napoleon interpretation (a return from exile) will work for them as well, and it seems very possible that the power of the Wellspring is what Baylan is agitating toward.

I think the gold additions to the stormtroopers and the Chimera are the result of the dark Magick too. Mother Talzin was able to weave metal using the same Magick to give Maul his new legs in Clone Wars, so it would make sense that they could also repair the trooper armor and even whole sections of the ship.

There were leaks about the Stormtroopers being Undead so I guess its confirmed. They look dirty, patched together and Like Thrawn stated, He will need the Nightsister's magick again. I’m going to make a bold exclamation and say what’s calling to Baylon is simply The Mother. Let’s think about How The Witches hold extreme diverse powers, and would also seemingly need a deity to reflect their magic. The father represents Balance, Daughter Is The Light, and The Son is the Dark… Ao the Mother could represent the Mysticism of the Nightsisters Magic; seeking to be freed from her prison where she was banished and forgotten.

Notcied most of them, but funnily enough I did not notice #21. I was actually surprised and then not suprised how well Thrawns uniform looked and for once I saw the authority and power it shows to wear such a daper military uniform. Very neat touches on the damage, I didn't see them at all I was looking at how well kept it looked, rather than any damage it had.

I enjoyed it a lot. It was a slow burn but there was quite a bit to digest. Thrawn’s announcement was perfect. Really loved Thrawn’s Kintsugi Nighttroopers. Gold joining the shattered armor pieces and the crimson Night magik ribbons bonding the dead to the world of the living. And the Captain’s helmet face, reminded me of an ancient Roman calvary helmet. That was a sweet touch. Also, we got to know more about General Baylan Skoll! Can’t wait for next week to learn about Ezra’s time on this new world.
Ahsoka and Andor are the Zenith of Disney Star Wars. They are on the opposite ends of what I love. One is a gritty, political spy thriller based history and the other is a fantasy based on SW mythology, force magik and the cosmic and living force.

When Thrawn says "you gamble the fate of your galaxy.." Its worth noting in the Thrawn books, he detected a greater threat and the whole idea of siding with the Empire was that the "Empire's Galaxy" was the only power to stand up to that hidden threat in the unknown part of the galaxy.
I think Balen might sense the hidden threat or maybe the force sensitive Chiss that were used for hyperspace travel.

Enoch wasn't the only one who had the armor held together by gold. I wonder if it's also a reference to what kintsugi also meant. Besides the meaning of putting together something broken and creating something even stronger (which could mean the hardships they faced after they became stuck) but there is also an old poem about a servant that broke a porcelain peace. It was something worthy of death penalty, but the servant repaired the porcelain peace instead, using the kintsugi and calming his masters wrath. Maybe there is a bit of a hint to how Thrawn didn't abandon his men and made them even more obedient out of gratitude. To them Thrawn is probably their savior.

This ability evolved in response to predation by the Force-sensitive vornskrs. Many ysalamiri grouped together would expand their Force-neutral bubble by varying distances-sometimes by kilometers., I think the turtle people have the same ability, they hid Ezra from the witches and Thrawn

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with hardened lacquer that is dusted or mixed, most commonly with gold.
