    I prefer this 2.5cc than the 3.0cc "325i"

    What do you mean by delay between axles?

      @testdrivehero  16 дней назад

      @@tommybellotti Well, exactly that.
      The delay the rear axle have obeing or following the front axle on a lane change.

      depends on year but the 325i which is 3 litre (facelift) has code of engine n53 but it is not better than n52

    Sorry for the possible stupid question but: aren't the elasticity times REALLY slow? 🙁 I have a e46 320d and in 3rd gear it easily does 50-100km/h 3rd gear in less than 6 seconds. I really wanted to buy a 2.5 petrol sometimes (powerful and reliable BMW engines) but the time of 7.31s 50-90 worries me a bit.. Otherwise great video!

    • @testdrivehero
      @testdrivehero  2 года назад +1

      That's not a stupid question! :)
      In elasticity test, I'm looking to see how react going on low rev's from 50 to 90kmh or 80-120kmh to look how the car response on the same gear.
      And totally agree Alin, 218hp, 2.5cc and low reaction in my opinion.
      But the funny part is upside the clock, where the Vanos really kick in.
      And turbo gives to engine more fast respones than a naturally aspirated engine.

    • @alinclaudiu4754
      @alinclaudiu4754 2 года назад +1

      @@testdrivehero thanks for your kind and detailed explanation! In fact, I thought that the turbo (in 320d's case) might be the answer, while the lack of it (in 325i's case) is what makes it slower at lower RPMs.
      I also agree with what you said, that the 325i seems "alive" and amazing at high rpms (and that's the reason I'm still looking to buy one) , but I expected a bit more from 218hp even at low revs.

    • @testdrivehero
      @testdrivehero  2 года назад +1

      @@alinclaudiu4754 Exactly!
      Turbo lag sometimes are better than low rpm's response on multivalve engines haha

    • @derbigpr500
      @derbigpr500 4 месяца назад +1

      @@alinclaudiu4754 A 320i feels more torquey at low revs than a 325i and is faster despite having 177hp. Only above 5000 rpm the 325i becomes alive.

    • @nilsneimanis
      @nilsneimanis 2 месяца назад +1

      isn’t it just because diesel have less rpm so it naturally works better at lower rpm and petrol have more rpms so it also works better at higher rpms?
