Total time on the plugs is probably less than an hour so any visual observations are very inconclusive. I was just showing that there weren't any huge carbon clods or excessive oil on the plugs. The plugs are working perfectly as far as the engine running at all RPMs.
Yes, you are right. But I am no longer confident in my ability to safely put a Norton on the centerstand without Kevin standing by. I'm 81 now and I'm beginning to accept my limits. For the most part I'm even letting Kevin do the heavy kick starting.

Cool Not my ideal plug result but maybe my expectations are too high. I have boxes of plugs looked like that Don't work anymore Don't get me wrong as have learned a lot from this channel and obviously you are pro at this but am I missing something here?

maybe its just the lighting, plugs appear oil fouled to me, maybe just due to a lot of idling
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They are gloss black to my eye.

If you put the bike on the center stand and straddle the bike when kicking much easier for your (not so twisted) knee. Regards Con.

"Nice clean spark plugs" - IF that old Norton was an air-cooled 2-stroke.. but it's NOT, so .. (?)
Those plugs looked a bit rich to me … definitely not the peach colour I look for.

@@fjdelmonte probably true if the bike hasn’t been down the road.
I would not let that bike idle any longer, its time to take it up and down the road at varying loads to get those rings to really bed in.
yup. Just as soon as it it Titled, Registered, Tagged and Insured I'm sure the client will do just that.
Frank, maybe you should close up shop until Kevin returns.
Thinkin seriously of rolling the RV out for a weekend.
