- Oliso’s iconic SmartIron ® just got smarter! The new TG1600Pro Plus still features Oliso’s most-loved patented iTouch® technology. Simply touch the handle and the iron lowers, ready to work. Take your hand off and the patented scorch guards lift the iron off the board preventing scorches, burns, and tipping. It’s not only safer, but it also saves time as well as your wrists!
The new TG1600 Pro Plus features a new diamond ceramic-flow™ soleplate glides effortlessly over all fabrics types, further enhances its even heat distribution and provides quick and easy clean up when using fusibles. A new anti-scale system keeps the TG1600 Pro Plus working stronger and longer. And since customers asked: Oliso delivered even more ergonomic weight distribution and an enhanced auto-lift responsiveness system to complete the update!

I have had this iron for a few years and really like it. It is an investment but I am worth it. 😊
We're glad you like it! Thanks for commenting! -Michelle
I have mine for years! LOVE it!!! I will buy a new one when mine dies. Love all the colors!!!
Glad you enjoy them! -Michelle
It is so good to have a review, showing features. Thanks, Jen, Chel🌸
We're happy you enjoyed this one! -Michelle
The company is AWESOME to work with should a problem arise. I have " driven" one for YEARS!
Great feedback! Thanks for commenting. -Michelle
I love this iron! I use different irons , don’t know why but I do! I only use distilled water!!!
I absolutely love my Oliso iron. I purchased the pink one. 💗
We love our pink one!! -Michelle
I've had mine for a little over a year. Had problems with the 1st one and after a lot of back and forth with customer service they sent me a new one. I love the iron and it really is easy on the wrist hand and shoulder. This one goes a little nuts occasionally raising and lowering a bunch of times? Best feature is that it doesn't shut off after just a few minutes of non use especially when your sewing and pressing quilt blocks.
Thanks for the information! This Oliso iron is very appealing! 🌺🌸
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for commenting! -Michelle
I have wanted one of these forever! I just checked on Amazon and I just ordered the pink.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! -Michelle
I recently purchased the pink one, absolutely love it!!! 💗
We're happy you like it!! -Michelle
Me too. I love my Oliso iron, and the pink color is cheerful..
I have used these irons for years and I love them. I use bottled water for less calcium build up if you have hard water. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. Thanks for highlighting!!
We're happy you enjoy this iron too! We do use a distilled water and are getting good use out of it. Thanks for your comment! -Michelle
You are smart, Sandra. "General Smart Iron FAQ" state: "NEVER use 100% distilled water." Distilled water can damage Oliso irons.
@@ShabbyFabrics Michelle, Oliso's "General Smart Iron FAQ" instructions state: "NEVER use 100% distilled water." Distilled water can damage Oliso irons. Please read the instructions that come with the Oliso irons. You are damaging your irons and giving bad advice to customers.
@@ShabbyFabrics Never use distilled water. If using distalled water one need to mix it with equal part of tap water & distill. However bottle water ok if one have hard water.. I have a water softer so I use bottle because I'm not sure what the salt would do to it..
I purchased mine this year 2022. Love it.
Glad you enjoy it!! Thanks for watching!! -Michelle
I have hard water….I’ve always used a 50/50 mix of my water and distilled water…..so far, so good!
Good to know. Thanks for your comment! -Michelle.
I got mine over 2 years ago. I no longer use water in it, I use a spray bottle instead. I like how it gets hot and stays hot for a long time before it shuts off. Also, love the "feet".
Glad you enjoy it! -Michelle
Jen, I bought my first Oliso iron (yellow OLISO®Smart Iron TG1600) 15 years ago. It still works. Two years ago, I bought a pink OLISO® PRO™ TG1600. Now my yellow Oliso is my back-up iron. I will only use Oliso irons due to Oliso's iTouch® never-lift technology.
Good to learn there is a new TG1600Pro Plus! BTW, please tell your customers not to use distilled water in their Oliso irons.
We're happy you enjoy it!! Thank you very much for commenting! -Michelle
What happens if you use distilled water? 🌺🌸
Why not use distilled? Is 50/50 distilled and tap ok?
I have that iron,, love it
I have one and I love it!
We're happy you enjoy it! Thank you for your comment! -Michelle
I ❤️ my pink Oliso.
Glad you enjoy it!! -Michelle
😮 oh my goodness, I’ve wanted one of these for so long, but it’s just not my time... yet....God willing I WILL get one someday
I even tried to find a used one, so I’d be able to have one that way, but apparently Oliso makes such good quality irons that they don’t wear out and they love them so much that they aren’t getting rid of them!! That’s really bad news for quilters/sewist, like me, who had such high hopes of finding an inexpensive secondhand😮😅
Thank you for sharing, much love and many prayers Jen from Bakersfield Ca
Try looking on Black Friday. That’s when I got mine

I have the pink iron and love it
We love it too! Thanks for commenting!! -Michelle
I love my Oliso no more burning the ironing board mat, had the small one but it dropped on the floor and that was the end of that one.
Glad you like it! -Michelle
I need one. 🥰
You can shop the Oliso irons here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/c5288/notions/irons Thanks for watching! -Michelle
I just purchased the new Pro plus. You didn’t mention the ceramic soleplate which is a huge selling point for me. Love this new Oliso. I have the turquoise.
We're happy you enjoy it as much as we do! Thank you for your comment. -Michelle
Hello! This iron looks fabulous! Do you know if the Oliso mini irons are as good as the large ones? Thanks so much!
I have the mini and it's wonderful.
Hi Shannon! We do use the Oliso mini for smaller projects. You should check out our notions video about it: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/315/oliso-mini-iron-with-trivet -Michelle
I have both sizes and love them.
I just bought one, they only had yellow. I don't even know that they had other colors. I would have picked blue, and now I'm blue!
Does the Oliso automatically shut off after sitting unused for a few minutes?
This one will automatically shut off after 30 minutes of unuse. -Michelle
Omg that perfect!!! The cheapie I have from Walmart shuts off as I’m trying to use it, if iron side is down for more than 30 seconds!!! It’s so Frustrating when you’re trying to press, especially yardage!! Welp that’s yet another reason I HAVE ONE!!’ lol

Are the steam holes amounts/areas change with the color?
Hi Pati - The only difference in these irons is the color. The number of steam holes and area is the same for each of these four irons. Hope this helps! -Michelle
@@ShabbyFabrics thank you for the information.
I own a blue Tg1050 for about 8 years. Should I upgrade to the TG1600 pro plus?😮
Hi rhoodj - Since we're unfamiliar with the Tg1050 model, we are unable to give you the best advice regarding this decision. -Michelle
Please show the sole plate! Are there steam holes at the tip?
Hi Kathy - You can view an image of the soleplate on our product page here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p129916 There are no steam holes at the tip. All of the steam holes are inbetween the scorch guards. -Michelle
What is the wattage on this model?
Hi Donna - I believe that it is 1800watts. -Michelle
I'd rather not have an attached cord.
Hi Wanda - Have you seen the Panasonic 360 degree Freestyle? We use that one in our sewing rooms as well:www.shabbyfabrics.com/c5288/notions/irons -Michelle
@@ShabbyFabrics Yes, I loved the Panasonic iron but it only worked for a couple of years. I was so disappointed. I bought a little Oliso but tripped over the cord. Bought a different brand cordless. Working much better.
$300 here in Australia sadly , maybe on sale one day! I love the purple
