Bgs is a ton of fun. Yeah theres chaos but its not as much as its made out to be. Second to last race of the cars tour last year had more chaos than most of bgs races last year. And i think its good to have tracks that are like that too. You want to have some environments where it is just chaos. It offsets some of the more cleaned up races.
Bgd is entertainment and has a value, and something I would like to witness... but some of the videos are cringeworthy. But again, I go back for more. There is short track racing, and then there is BG, that is just my opinion.
@@KerryChaplin Dillner focuses on pavement for Flo. Freddie spots in NASCAR. This is the channel of the most famous pavement racer in America. What did you expect?
Bowman gray when it is sold out is a crazy place. The racing CAN be good when the drivers tone down the aggressiveness. It can also devolve into a circus quickly
Eldora Speedway is the best short track in the world, 30,000 people for the biggest events, extremely nice facilities, cheap concessions and beer. Oh and a bad fast dirt half mile. What more do you want
The atmosphere at Bowman Gray is really only rivaled by the dirt track giants like Eldora, Chili Bowl, and Knoxville. I just wish it was a more normal racetrack
BGS is the most well attended weekly short track show in the country. How you want to characterize that is up to you. You can see great racing all over the Carolinas any given weekend but there is only one Madhouse.
Eldora speedway in ohio and Knoxville raceway in iowa hold 30 and 25 thousand people respectively, no pavement short track outside of nascar tracks come close
These people who act like there's no good racing at bowman gray are wrong, especially in the fendered classes. If you have a flo racing subscription check it out
Kinda cruddy you cut out the part where Freddie gave props to Irwindale Speedway. Excellent facility. NASCAR should just develop the property, put in 30K more seats and make that a coliseum! They can use the money from selling off Fontucky to build it out.
In a Fox8 TV story a few years ago about BGS, Promotor Gray Garrison was asked “do you sell racing or entertainment?”. His answer was “ENTERTAINMENT!”. This place holds 17,000 spectators, and they sell out every week!
@tomt9543 and there's nothing wrong with that, maybe those people will go to more normal track later. People who get all uppity about bowman gray are cringe
There is this thing called RUclips... Maybe you have heard of it. I have seen plenty of races there... They all end in fights and tore up cars. They cant't pass clean on that go kart track so they put them in the wall to get around. Its popular for the same reason Pro Wrestling and Jerry springer is. The racing sucks. @@MiamiMallAlien
World 100 at eldora speedway is the best short track race, snowball derby is cool for pavement, and five flags looks like a neat joint but it dosn't hold a candle to the big E
It's a very tight track where light contact is usually necessarily to pass, i wouldn't want to own a car that races there but i have no problem with it existing
Matthew Dillner!!!! Just try not to engage with Freddie. It's a can't win proposition!!! Great to see you in this format!! You remind me Andy Richter!! Lost Speedways, baby!!!!!
BGS is definitely a shitshow. You go there not for the racing, you go there only to see whos who's gonna fight and how many fights there will be. You know, I know it. Freddie is 💯 right. And thats why the track doesn't do anything about it. Because it is a draw
Do they pack 15,000 to 19,000 EVERY WEEK. I've seen the stands full and people standing 3-4 deep at the wall that goes around at the top of the bleachers.
Look guys, you keep talking about short tracks their is one track just sitting there like a ghost, that could be brought back, and you guys never mentioned ever how about 311 motor speedway 1/2 dirt, been here over 50 years, alot of cup drivers raced there on being dale sr bill elliott just to name a few, great racing but no one every talks about it why?
Freddie can’t really say the people that race there are clowns, I used to race there, the man he spots for in the cup series ran there and acted like a “clown” after the race soooo
Hate on it all you want. It's packed every weekend from April to August. It's entertainment for sure, there is great racing and rivalries there. Something the sport lacks now with this F1 style technology racing. There is more raw talent there than most of the top 3 series. They just don't have daddy's money, big sponsor, or last name.
Bowman Gray is the best racing in the country, sorry. The beating and banging is not every lap, every race like people think who have never been there and only talk about what they see on twitter videos. There is truly no place like it, like going back in time. And the racing is exciting every lap, especially the late models!!

Dilner rules
The hardcore bowman grey fans are wild, but it's definitely a fun place to watch a race, worth seeing. Shouldn't be taken super seriously
Bgd is entertainment and has a value, and something I would like to witness... but some of the videos are cringeworthy. But again, I go back for more. There is short track racing, and then there is BG, that is just my opinion.
How do you have a discussion about the best short tracks and not include dirt tracks which are the majority of the bigger facilities
Because this channel is about pavement racing 99% of the time.
@@trev3971 damn that's lame

WELL SAID
Eldora Speedway is the best short track in the world, 30,000 people for the biggest events, extremely nice facilities, cheap concessions and beer. Oh and a bad fast dirt half mile. What more do you want
Pennsylvania tracks like Port Royal and William's Grove have better racing
@@KerryChaplinarguable, port royal is definitely a gem too though
It's not all spinning at BGS, it is an extremely tight track, but when drivers use a little restraint the racing can be good there.
These pavement fans are funny. Venues like Eldora, Knoxville, Chili bowl, Williams Grove are the best short track venues in the world.
Williams Grove has amazing racing, too bad the facilities are trash. Other 3 are extremely nice race tracks
Yeah this whole segment was one big pavement circle jerk lol 😂😂
These dirt fans are funny. They comment on NASCAR videos just to say how cool dirt racing is.

Amen brother!
The atmosphere at Bowman Gray is really only rivaled by the dirt track giants like Eldora, Chili Bowl, and Knoxville. I just wish it was a more normal racetrack
Attended my first race at Bowman Gray Stadium in 1966, modifieds were crazy then as they are now.
The sportsman class which is basically a super late model is great there. Yes it's hard to pass that's why it's such a unique track.
Bowman gray is trash by the way. Five Flags, Nashville Fairgroud, Oswego, those are real pavement short tracks that deserve to be talked about

Bowman Gray Stadium: Hate Us Cause They Aint Us. Stands are packed every weekend. Car count through the roof while other tracks are dying.
Freddie is 100% correct though. It is entertainment not good racing

Dirt tracks aren't dying, or at least not at the rate pavement tracks are. The major dirt track tours are actually growing rapidly
Knoxville is the best short track in the world but bowman gray is alot of fun. If you are taking bowman gray seriously you have lost the plot
Ironic of Freddy to call people clowns for doing exactly what Bubba did to Kyle Larson
Bowman Gray is high dollar demo derby
Never watched a full race there I bet, stop basing your opinion on what other people say

As a Vermonter it was cool to hear the thunder road praise
Need more from Freddie and Matt content!
Non wing sprint cars at eldora make the snowball derby look like a tea party
The tv series at bowman gray was great.
Flo racing has a cool film for free on youtube called madhouse, the guy on the right in this video was the narrator.
I was on the TV show in 2018
i dont consider demolition derby's racing, merely needless destruction.
They're not wrong! I want room for the cars to race, otherwise just run Legends or Midgets whose size makes more sense.
Very true...midgets or quarter midgets and motorcycles.
A midget race there could actually be awesome
It's a hooligan track for sure. But the hayes jewelers 200 is a really fun event. If i lived in N Carolina i would go a few times a year
It's a great party with some ok racing so i would recommend going having fun and stop being so dam serious!!
Matthew Dillner!!!!

Bowman Gray always struck as a place for demolition derbys that are occasionally interrupted by racing.
Eldora and Knoxville are superior facilities to bowman gray.
You've never been to BGS obviously.

Thompson speedway racing quality, stafford for facility.
