Speak of the devil and awesome too. I started research both of these planes only yesterday and today was like, "I wonder if there is a comparison video out there" I check on here after my lunch at work and posted 2 hours ago, is this video. Very helpful, and always love the videos, super informative. Some people dont like the long videos, but if its a plane that I am purchasing, I'll watch a 3 hour video from start to finish every time. Keep up the great work!
Watching you trying to pick a favorite plane brings back a memory I have about my uncle, who absolutely loved to hunt and fish. I asked him one day which one he loved most, to which he replied, " I'd rather hunt when it's time to hunt, and I'd rather fish when it's time to fish ". As with all your videos, I absolutely loved it. You guys make a great team, whether it's unbox/build or flying, it's all top notch. I also would like to add at this time, you make your videos fun and extremely enjoyable to watch and you have such a wonderful gift of teaching.
Great video. Foam frenzy yeah baby!!! I have a Cessna a bought used last year and I love it. It’s an eye turner at the field and I love the tricycle gear. Now let’s get the Carbon T-28 back in the lineup.
Bought the Carbon z cub yesterday. We have 3 of the carbon cub 2.1 planes and love em. Could pass up the big one. Thank you both for all you do. We appreciate it. I've learned so much..
OK, ya got me. I've been on the fence for months. Now with your side by side video and the sale, I pulled the trigger on the Cessena. AND, yes, I used your link. Thanks so much for your videos. Long time viewer.
I watched your video on the Carbon Z Cub a while ago a I bought one upgraded to pneumatic tires and it taxi's amazing and such a presents in the sky I added lights as well. But your videos influenced my purchased I did threw your link. Thank you and camera crew for everything you do
Brian! I have the original carbon z cub and after 7 years and 80-100 flights the power 50 finally gave up the ghost. I decided to do the power 60 upgrade and a xaor 16x8. Man let me tell you! it is a whole different plane, I should have done it years ago. it will cruise with a 5200 vant lipo at 10-15% throttle and pull out of ANYTHING you get yourself into. Everyone who has this plane and doesn't do the upgrade is missing out. I sure was!
@@BrianPhillipsRC lol yes! What would you recommend for batteries. 5000 mah or the big 7000 mah. Do you notice vertical performance suffer at all with the heavy 7000 mah battery?
I have the CZ Cessna 150T and love it, after I lost my Carbon cub s2 I used the CZ Cessna 150T as my trainer. I've flown the crap out of it, even had one bad crash where I hit a telephone pole, the main gear came out and dinged one wing pretty good. Being a big size made repairs easy. It is a work horse that has never failed me. I was so close to buying a second one but I am holding out for the new releases coming ahead this year. CZ Cessna 150T has been the easiest plane to fly without SAFE as my trainer IMO. It has maid flying my 1.1s and 1.5s better. Great video Meagan and great flights Brian.
YES! Glad you got her back in one piece! I've hit power poles a few times, and planes have been restored to slightly prettier than Frankenstein, but they fly still ;)
150T, ordered yesterday from your link and its arriving tomorrow. I like the looks of the Cub better, but the 150T with the lights and easier to and from field break downs did it for me. Plus received the $100 Foam Frenzy discount, its a win. Maybe the next CZ Cub SS will be improved with lights and less nut sacks! lol... Thanks Team Phillips...
You talked me into it Brian. I went with the Cessna and I had $100 in points so only $324 after tax. I feel like I would've really missed out to not pick up this bird for that kind of money. I made sure to use your link 👍🏼.
Just picked up the Cessna 150T, reverted back to one of your older vids. This is one I've had my eye on for awhile. Have you heard of anyone attempting the thrust reverse in mid air upon landing? Not a good idea I would assume but just curious. Off topic, great meeting you and your wife at the Horizon RC Fest, you both were so graceful and willing to autograph my son and I cap's we were wearing. Great people and great channel. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! It was really our pleasure to meet you (and your son, right? signed the ball caps?), and others at these two events (Joe Nall and RC Fest). We LOVE to put a face and name in stead of these goofy icons on RUclips that say "@Letsroll000" - which is very hard for us...we know there's USUALLY a real live person/family behind the comment, but it can get lost in the volume of comments back and forth. It was very nice to meet you in person! As for the mid-air thrust reverse. You CAN and it is WEIRD. Try it at altitude, and give plenty of time to see how she pitches. It's fun, but don't throw away that beauty for a test ;) I did it accidentally to a few planes...Viper 90mm, FMS T-28 1.4m, etc...and they both ended in crashes, but it was BY ACCIDENT, not on purpose. If you KNOW it's gonna happen and you have time to switch back, it's not a deal breaker, and could lead to some AMAZING RC Shenanigans!!!
Yes, that was my son Garrett and I with the ball caps. He has showed several people already his ball cap signature from the both of you. As stated you both were very Nice and accommodating to give out an autograph. Considering doing the Patreon as I only have one other channel that I do that. You both really go the extra mile in providing great content. Kind of surprises me With thrust reverse mid air, I would definitely want a more experience person standing next to me from my club when I try it. My skill level is not ready for that yet. Lol. I don’t have the mad skills of Brian Phillips yet. 😊
Once again AWESOME video team ! The first time I saw the Cesna in trike, I said i had to have it. Full disclosure, I am a heli guy ! I did hesitate with the trike setup because my field has a crappy runway, but then the Cesna transformed into a tail dragger !, I said yep I need one. Then I saw a video of real bush planes take off and landings 😳 I was hooked. picked up the Turbo Timber Evo, and flew it all winter. I would have to go with the Carbon Z now.
Great video! I'm currently flying the Carbon Cub S2 and loving it but am wanting a 2 meter for my next plane. I'll be getting the Carbon Z Cub simply because I like the way a Cub looks.
You too! The two videos on one day was compliments of RUclips technical issues... We have a super long series coming if we could get her uploaded...over 400GB's for one build - it's HUGE.
Thanks for reminding me Brian... Truely liking and preferring smaller models in the 900-1200mm range is saving me so much money. 😊 I can even build an FT swappable kit (and get it into the air) for the price of the battery and have just as much fun flying even though, in my experience, my foam planes generally fly better than my foamboard planes. [Something about making it yourself and then getting it to fly halfway decent.]
Up until i was given the Gen 1 Cessna 150, i had no intention of EVER having anything bigger than my fms pitts. THEN, in a months time, i found my (2013 model, before safe/as3x was available in a factory rx😳, but i don't use it anyway 🤷) CZ cub SS. Picked it up from a buddy for $100.00. Couldn't let it get away! 😁
Bill - Yeah, sometimes a home built plane just has that something special about it that makes it better than it really is on paper :) These big planes add up quick...probably $750-850 when not on sale, plane and battery, but boy, they are amazing to fly. You gotta get your mitts on one, even if it's to borrow a buddies at the flying field! It's an immersive experience. I do get what you say, about still as much fun with smaller thought...and way more practical for most too!
OK Brian, just bought a second CZ C 150T. I just love it that much. I've put my first one thru the wringer and it is still going strong. I might install the tricycle gear on the new one.
Nice video. I flew the Cessna 152 Aerobat and Cessna 152 taildragger conversion, full scale airplanes. Good trainers. Taildragger conversion wasn’t a good taildragger. Flew one with O-320 engine and Stol cuff plus vortex generators. Towed gliders. Great fun near sea level. I’ve flown C150 on RC Evolution simulator. Nice plane. Going to get Carbon Z Cub. I’ve owned full-size SuperCubs. Fun planes. Practised dead stick landings often. With full flaps and no power you run out of elevator(SQ2 Backcountry cub) Flaps 10-20 better choice deadstick. Really pretty property.
I love both planes but being I'm a novice I'd go with the 150T and set it up in the tricycle configuration. It looks a bit more scale and it has LEDs. I never thought about closing one eye if ya fly into the sun. I see how that would work. It's kinda like the reason pirates wore eye patches. lol. Cool comparison vid guy's. I absolutely love both planes 🔥👍✌️
I sold my Carbon Z Cub SS and got the Hanger 9 carbon cub. Now I do love the Hanger 9 but I should have never sold the foamy. One thing I don't like about the Carbon Z is the droop tips break very, very easy. Mine was sitting on the ground and a gust of wind picked up a wingtip and the other hit the ground and broke the wingtip. I am really thinking about getting the Cessna. Great video.
Wow! What a soar!! All the companies should just have you do all the pre flight configurations and build some rtf versions using your settings as the benchmark.
Great video , i had the 150 trike but sold it and regret it but now want another but the tail dragger , was torn between the cub and the 150 but i think you made my mind up ;-) Thanks Brian and Mrs Brian :-)
Having both 1st gens (original 150 tricycle Cessna, & CZ SS cub, blue,) if i destroyed either one or both tomorrow, id get the Cub without question! Original motor locked up on my (2013 version 🤯) cub yesterday, new motor installed (i had for my coming 10cc Hangar 9 arf), & ready to roar again! 👍 Love the huge cub!!! (& At 1 time, last year i maidened a buddy's orange cub, & WAS extremely intimidating!) Now i have 3!😜
CZ SS cub, 16x7 xoar wood prop. Original 150 & FMS pitts i use a xoar 16x8. That being said, my SS cub is heavier than the other 2. (This just came to me 😜🤯). ALL my 6s packs i have are smart 6s, 30c, 4000mah. I use ALL AR620 recievers in everything. (Substation where we fly 'hits' safe recievers, occasionally, when in safe. Idk why)
Great video camera crew!🙂 nice zoom in the climb, beauteous! I made an earlier comment I thought the lines were gone lol. Great flying all the way around 😂or, is that one section gone? My apologies..
@BrianPhilipsRC Love your Channel and your content! Quick question: When are going to review the Arrows F-86 Sabre? I've been waiting to buy it through your link... :) You and Meghan are doing such a great job! Keep on Keeping on!
We have the video uploaded, but RUclips SCREWED IT UP!!!! Was supposed to release Thursday at 10:00 AM...but now it's still processing, as we had to re-upload it, and not it's working. So sorry for the delay...we MAY release it Saturday, but worst case, Monday at 10:00 AM is our current plan... Thanks for understanding - we did everything we could to have this work, and RUclips just screwed the pooch on this one ;(
As of today (10/03/2022) the Cessna is the one that ISN'T on backorder? I checked while watching another great video! Still cutting my teeth on the Apprentice and T28
Oh great..2 more planes to throw on the wishlist! Why choose? It's only money.. do my kids REALLY need food everyday? Thanks Brian for putting these videos out!
Yes you can definitely hear the whoosh on the SS Carbon cub love picking up some speed on mine and hearing that. I just recently installed the ar637t and an avian 60 amp esc Throttle reverse has definitely saved my butt twice already! Lol I will say the xoar 15x7 prop Gives this plane some more punch and get up and go it is awesome
They are not working with us, but they ARE in fact, running ads - LOL. They like to count their pennies, and don't like to count their dollars (yes, this is really their problem...not bad product, not bad people...just cheapskates)
Brian, I'm start the transition over to airplanes. Should I chose the Carbon Cub s2 or the Carbon Z Cessna 150 t 6s? I have flown both on the simulator. I'm kind of bore with the Cub. Wouldn't the bigger plane be easier for the change? I have 6s 30c batteries for the heli's I fly. But not the Gen 2's.
They are both about the same size, and both great flying planes, and both will knock your socks off, but you said "start the transition to airplanes" - these are pretty big planes to "start" with...are you flying heli's or quads or what? Have you considered something a bit more "middle" step? Not that you would HAVE to do this, but it might save you a few bucks...both of these planes, as you're probably already aware, are pretty pricey. Dear Brian, if I only wanted ONE 6S high wing E-flite plane which one is the most relaxing to fly (also in safe for my son)? DRACO? The 150T Cessna or the Cub? Many thanks! (I find the Turbo Timber Evo to be my favorite plane and most relaxing too, not sure if there is any need to go bigger...???
I thought I replied to you???? Didn't I??? So weird! Wonder if the reply got lost in the WWW They're all great, but the Carbon Z Cessna 150T is probably the best value, and would do what you want. bprc.me/CZ_Cessna150 bprc.me/CZ_Cub bprc.me/Draco ....But the CORRECT answer is, of course, ALL THREE ;)
Got my Cessna thru your link. Absolutely love how it flies. Hated the hardware. Heads strip out so easily. Who chose star drive for this build? Why not phillips like everything else? Looking at RTL and wondering which assorted box you got? Which one would you recommend for just run of the mill screw assortment? One of my servos is noisy. Works, just noisy. HH is stonewalling me. Contacted them 4 times. No answer. Sent them a video as requested. No answer. Very unusual for HH.
A) Noisy is normal - don't worry too much, but if you must, test the mAh load on the servo compared to it's opposite on the plane, with the XBC Battery Tester (and servo tester) B) I show the kit numbers, but have something like 4 kits now....so many choices!!!! Try the shelf liner trick....instead of using the provided velcro for you battery, which you could also do, just take the velco and stick it onto shelf liner and then trim around the velcro, then stick it on the spot where you'd put your battery, and you're ready for any size pack you put in the plane, and it'll stay put with minimum pressure from the velcro straps! Hello from Canada. Love your videos. I watch them before I pull the trigger on a purchase. I also enjoy taking video of RC planes. Do you mind telling me what your "crew" is using for a camera? Thanks
you can't go wrong with either 🤷. Brian you said your running 30c 6s packs.Just wandering if you would run 100c packs what the difference would be? thanks
Yeah, but can you define "Charged" ;) That's my apprehension about this warning...also, this warning can sometimes trigger if the battery is plugged in and the telemetry happens to pull data at the wrong fraction of a second. Wish there were a longer denounce time for energizing the plane.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yeah, but a warning that you can disable isn't a warning at all ;) You can just press clear and fly, no biggie - but every now and then it will have been useful to someone aye
Great video. I'd really like to own either of those planes but can't due to them being too large to transport in my car. I keep on looking to see if there's a similarly cool plane on the market with wings that either fold or have a quick-release mechanism so to fit it inside my car. No joy so far!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Yep, I carefully observed the wing assembly in your video for that plane. It was rather involved, took some time to do and would be difficult to do in a field. So I suppose what I'm after is a plane with some kind of quick-release mechanism whereby the wing/s can be removed and refitted with relative ease. Maybe such a plane doesn't yet exist so if I want to join the hobby then it's only small planes like the UMX range I can use.
I started this video loving the 150t. After the video, still loving the 150t. The Z cub looks super nice and all. But, I just really like that plane. And I'd put those big squishies on, too BTW. 👍 And maybe floats?
Totally! This is why we LOVE putting these comparison videos together. It's a lot a CASH and we know most aren't gonna be able to get BOTH like they really should ;) LOL CZ Cessna 150 bit.ly/3RNoprG CZ Cub SS bit.ly/3OlTJem
New to your channel this was a great video. Love both these planes. Trying to talk myself into getting back into this sport and this video pretty much summed it up. Also what camera are you using to record your flights?Your camera lady does an awesome job. Nice work camera lady!!!!!👍
Welcome David! Glad you're here with us. We have so much more than this video, if you even remotely enjoyed it, there's literally THOUSANDS more where it came from ;) Megan, my wife and camera crew, uses our Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and we use Rode Wireless Go 2 lav mics for audio. Hope you'll feel at home here with us, David - thanks for stopping by!
Love my z cub…live on a lake here in MN and fly mine on floats winter and summer…think I’m going to add the 150t with some floats…when on tires love my dubros
Thanks for all the advice . I got the nx8 instead of the nx6 thanks to you. I'm a newbie but with the sale on these planes will never be this cheep. I want the 1.5 P51 and one of those Cessnas. Ok I'm not ready to fly them now,but how will they stand up being in the box for more than 6 months or so till I can solo? Can you send me the link to see your build of both those planes. I tell my girlfriend there's a snake downstairs! Works all the time!
LOL - snake downstairs - AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - totally gonna steal this Leonard!!! 6 months in the box - you'll be 100% fine, BUT if you have any issues, Horizon Hobby might be less inclined to help you out. Here's what I would do, if you can handle it - unbox, and build her, and see how beautiful she is, then get it bound up, and test everything. When you're done, if you don't go out and fly her (Which you'll probably end up doing) you can just take her apart and repackage her ;).... but no, you won't hurt the plane at all.
All you do is click on my face, then there's a playlist LIST, and then find the plane you're looking for. You can do this for any plane we've done. We have playlists for each plane/aircraft/project ;) If you still can't figure it out, please do ask again, but I want you to realize the tools in your tool bag - you can see hundreds of amazing planes you might not have realized existed before!!! Good luck ;)
Only the timber evolution is a top loading battery. All the others batteries go in the bottom. (Green timber x, 1.5 turbo timber, & night timber x are bottom loaders)
Brian I have a ? Berween the 1.2 m and the 1.5 m apprentice which one should I get. I have the mini aerscout so tech 2nd plane for me? Ive been a aircraft mech. For twelve years and Im just getting into the hobby! Lol
I think the 1.5m gives a slight advantage, but the 1.2m flies amazing still, and it's so much easier to store...so you kinda gotta weigh the pros and cons....we have room for storage, but we also fly HERE, so the bigger size is a plus, and the storage is not an issue...some have larger concerns in these arenas. What I can say, you will be happy with EITHER....both are very good. If I had to vote, I'd say you might be SLIGHTLY happier with the 1.5m...but very marginal difference. ...and there's the price difference...if that's a factor, the 1.2m will be a blast still! Apprentice bit.ly/2OIjVHd
Don't let the turning radius make your final decision, they are both plenty capable of turning however tight you want. Both planes are AMAZING. Get whatever you like, and then LATER, get the other. They are BOTH great.
I like the Carbon Z Cub more better then the Cessna 150 cause it flies heavy Then then the Cessna 150 But I do like the landing gear the landing gear is huge but it can take of and land in the glass.
Oh BOTH are my go to planes now, But the C-150 is a little heavier & takes up from front to back passenger side of a Camry, but I can fit BOTH planes in the car..
I love my cz cessna, flies so well. Even on 4s. I like the trike tho, cuz in thick grass you can't nose over 😜 plus it looks so dam classy with the skirts!
@@BrianPhillipsRC it's kinda slow to take off and you need to be on the power most of the time. Like the real thing.. but it looks so dam scale. its pretty cool, and I still get like 10 min flight on a 5000mah
Super Timber is like Half the plane ;) Literally - it's like 1/2 the size!!! Unless you're saying the SWS - The BIG ONE ;) In that case, I still think the Carbon Cub SS 2.1m is AMAZING....and the SWS is very good too, but a pricey one... bprc.me/CZ_Cessna150 bprc.me/CZ_Cub vs bprc.me/Timber
The Draco is just almost in a different class - quite a bit more money, and way more scale, so I feel that both these choices are better flying planes...but not better LOOKING ;)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Time for the duct tape!!!!! ;) Seriously, if you can't get the thing to stay closed up, throw a band-aid on then vinyl electrical tape over, and you'll be flying ;)
So Brian just watch your video on the Arrows 64mm Marlin. And I see you don't like the landing gear on it. RC Castle have a nice set of landing gear upgrades. For the Marlin that are rally cool and they're only $ 27.95. I got a set for mind. They like the ones on the FMS. Yak 130 check them out
How did you know I was trying to choose between the two? Great video! Thanks! But I wish HH would stop plastering their ad stickers all over their sport planes. I’m flying a Turbo Timber Evolution, which Is an absolutely great flying plane, but I feel like I have a flying a bill board for HH that I had to pay for. The advertising stickers are incorporated into the trim stickers so they can’t be removed without ruining the trim. Has corporate greed eased its way into HH? HH, shame on you!
LOL - I think anyone who loves the Carbon Z Lineup, loves both ;) As for the HH stickers, yeah, it's a bit annoying, especially when they put the stickers over painted surfaces. I've too always been sorta reluctant, but in our situation, we do put the stickers on, and I never give it a second thought. Seriously, I'm googly eyed over the scale lines - what stickers - LOL ;)
Nice comparison. Was going to go with the apprentice for my first plane but I do like these 2 also. I like the 6s b/c it seems to be more prevalent in the planes I would get down the road. Do like the wide landing gear on the 150 but I like the suspension on the cub. Maybe 150 is flexible? I dismissed the 150 b/c it didn't say it has safe, at least on horizon ws. Just went off sale to....bummer
These are my two favorite planes ,especially with the winds we are experiencing in Colorado also. The 150 does seem to fly inverted a little better. Good video I have two 150s

Nice job with your videos. Your lucky your camera crew is tolerant in many ways bro! Nice your flying in your front yard. Love that too.
150T, ordered yesterday from your link and its arriving tomorrow. I like the looks of the Cub better, but the 150T with the lights and easier to and from field break downs did it for me. You talked me into it Brian. I went with the Cessna and I had $100 in points so only $324 after tax. I feel like I would've really missed out to not pick up this bird for that kind of money. I made sure to use your link 👍🏼.
You will be so happy when you see how amazing she flies. Thanks for following the link too ;)
I love you, and your content, stay safe and keep uploading to make me happy!
Thank you! Will do!
Totally!!! This plane will do just fine on crappy runways ;) I suspect you could fly this from a gravel runway with the pneumatic tires.
Great video! I'm currently flying the Carbon Cub S2 and loving it but am wanting a 2 meter for my next plane. I'll be getting the Carbon Z Cub simply because I like the way a Cub looks.
Awesome comparison video!
Thanks!!!
Great show today. I got another one to watch. Have a great day
You too! The two videos on one day was compliments of RUclips technical issues...
We have a super long series coming if we could get her uploaded...over 400GB's for one build - it's HUGE.
@@BrianPhillipsRC man I can't wate to dig in to it.
Bill - Yeah, sometimes a home built plane just has that something special about it that makes it better than it really is on paper :)
These big planes add up quick...probably $750-850 when not on sale, plane and battery, but boy, they are amazing to fly.
That would be so cool! Both setups ready to fly ;)
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! Love the comparison videos Brian. Would love to see something comparing all the 1.2m warbirds.
That's a good idea. We should do this.
I love my carbon z cub, my favorite. Great video Brian!!!
Right on!
Totally!!!
I so badly want the Hangar 9 CC SS!!! That thing is a LOOOOOKER ;)
Very good video!!! I got both keep the good work 😊😊😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks Brian . Got the Cessna for $100 off and a NX 8 during the Foam Frenzy !🇺🇸👍🏻
Nice!! So glad you did - Great choices!!!
This is exactly the video I needed. Been torn between these too for some time now. I really really want the 150t but that carbon z us just mwauh
Both ;) See - I was right!!! LOL
Wow! What a soar!! All the companies should just have you do all the pre flight configurations and build some rtf versions using your settings as the benchmark.
They kinda do this too, but I never measure and match the "throws" - I just want the max ;)
Great video , i had the 150 trike but sold it and regret it but now want another but the tail dragger , was torn between the cub and the 150 but i think you made my mind up ;-)
Thanks Brian and Mrs Brian :-)
Dude! You are da man💯. Epic Comparison 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
Idk why)
I love them both, and glad I'm not the only one with piles of them in the basement ;) It's a good problem to have!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC
Granted, i dont have AS many as u do Brian, (lack of unlimited space 🤷), but i am working on it! LoL! 😁🛫✈️
Great video and comparison, thanks Brian
Oh great..2 more planes to throw on the wishlist! Why choose? It's only money.. do my kids REALLY need food everyday?
Thanks Brian for putting these videos out!
Yea kids can always get a job, within walking distance, from home! 😄😎 Hahahahaha! Love that comment! 👍
Who needs food???? ;)
Nice!
Love your channel I hope Motion RC is sending you some planes to try out considering they're running their ads on your videos 👍

Always love a Cessna 150,but I prefer with the tricycle gear...
I love the way the tail dragger performs, but would prefer the Tri-Cycle for looks ;)
I really want an OFF road Tri Cycle ;)
Dear Brian, if I only wanted ONE 6S high wing E-flite plane which one is the most relaxing to fly (also in safe for my son)? DRACO? The 150T Cessna or the Cub? Many thanks! (I find the Turbo Timber Evo to be my favorite plane and most relaxing too, not sure if there is any need to go bigger...???
I thought I replied to you???? Didn't I???
So weird! Wonder if the reply got lost in the WWW
They're all great, but the Carbon Z Cessna 150T is probably the best value, and would do what you want.

....But the CORRECT answer is, of course, ALL THREE ;)
Got my Cessna thru your link.
A) Noisy is normal - don't worry too much, but if you must, test the mAh load on the servo compared to it's opposite on the plane, with the XBC Battery Tester (and servo tester)
B) I show the kit numbers, but have something like 4 kits now....so many choices!!!!
RTLFasteners.com +Code BRIAN30
Metric Kit 743
Standard Kit 9155
Standard Set Screw Kit S700
Metric Set Screw Kit M500
Essential Small Screw Kit SM73
What camera does your camera crew use for filming the planes in flight? Gary from Michigan 🚂
I am having trouble keeping my battery in my plane in one spot, it keeps wanting to slide
Try the shelf liner trick....instead of using the provided velcro for you battery, which you could also do, just take the velco and stick it onto shelf liner and then trim around the velcro, then stick it on the spot where you'd put your battery, and you're ready for any size pack you put in the plane, and it'll stay put with minimum pressure from the velcro straps!

you can't go wrong with either 🤷. Brian you said your running 30c 6s packs.Just wandering if you would run 100c packs what the difference would be? thanks
100C's - They'll last longer, but I'm very hard on my lipos, as you can see ;)
If you ask me that’s expert level flying.
'Not charged for flying' alarm sounds at any voltage below full
Yeah, but can you define "Charged" ;) That's my apprehension about this warning...also, this warning can sometimes trigger if the battery is plugged in and the telemetry happens to pull data at the wrong fraction of a second. Wish there were a longer denounce time for energizing the plane.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yeah, but a warning that you can disable isn't a warning at all ;)
You can just press clear and fly, no biggie - but every now and then it will have been useful to someone aye
Great video. I'd really like to own either of those planes but can't due to them being too large to transport in my car. I keep on looking to see if there's a similarly cool plane on the market with wings that either fold or have a quick-release mechanism so to fit it inside my car. No joy so far!
If you want to fit them in a car, the Carbon Z 150T is the better of the two. Keep in mind, these planes both DO break down.
Amazing flying as always!!!
Thanks!!!
I started this video loving the 150t. After the video, still loving the 150t. The Z cub looks super nice and all. But, I just really like that plane. And I'd put those big squishies on, too BTW. 👍

We have playlists for each plane/aircraft/project ;)
If you still can't figure it out, please do ask again, but I want you to realize the tools in your tool bag - you can see hundreds of amazing planes you might not have realized existed before!!!
Good luck ;)
Have you ever flown the Flex Innovations 170, its also a really good flyer...
No, but would love to work with someone who sells them!!!
Foam frenzy nudged me into a Night Timber X. Just doing my part to make room for a top loader version. You're welcome.
Only the timber evolution is a top loading battery. All the others batteries go in the bottom. (Green timber x, 1.5 turbo timber, & night timber x are bottom loaders)
@@old-rcplane-phart That was my point. UMX TT is a top loader btw. I'm hoping the timbers will be updated.
Foam Frenzy = good stuff...I hope they extend it ;)
Brian I have a ?

@@BrianPhillipsRC You made me change my mind! Got the Cessna. Arrived today. Wife is pissed. lol

type noise on the cub at certain throttle settings. Took everything apart and it’s ok.
I got the Carbon Z Cub based on your review. One of my favorite planes of all time. I fly it in my business park, lol.
It's one of the best! Glad you enjoy it!
Kinda torn between the 2. The cub seems to have a tighter turn radius. Both have great slow flight characteristics. Tough choice. Nice video . Thanks.
Don't let the turning radius make your final decision, they are both plenty capable of turning however tight you want. Both planes are AMAZING.
Get whatever you like, and then LATER, get the other. They are BOTH great.
Just picked up carbon-z cub ss yesterday! I cant wait to get her up in the air!!
I like the Carbon Z Cub more better then the Cessna 150 cause it flies heavy Then then the Cessna 150 But I do like the landing gear the landing gear is huge but it can take of and land in the glass.
Dubro makes air filled/inflatable 6" tires. My SS CZ cub (2013 model) came with them
I see. Love them both, and honestly, I can't say if I ever flew them side-by-side before, even off camera - somewhat unexpected outcome!
Oh BOTH are my go to planes now, But the C-150 is a little heavier & takes up from front to back passenger side of a Camry, but I can fit BOTH planes in the car..
100% they are both amazing! Time for a bigger car???? LOL ;)

@@BrianPhillipsRC it's kinda slow to take off and you need to be on the power most of the time. Like the real thing.. but it looks so dam scale. its pretty cool, and I still get like 10 min flight on a 5000mah
Why do some tail draggers like to dip the left wing on landing? Does it have anything to do with the torque of the motor?
Should I get a super timber. Or a carbon cub z. 🤷

Hi from Michigan • I take the Cessna 150T to the Flying Pilgrims RC Field in a F150 • just take off the right wing 🪽 Yes: a great flying aircraft ✈️
Great video as always. What about the red dragon vs the 150t? It would be cool to see how different they fly.
The Draco is just almost in a different class - quite a bit more money, and way more scale, so I feel that both these choices are better flying planes...but not better LOOKING ;)
they are both beautiful, but I think Cesna has the advantage🔝🔝🔝🔝

So Brian just watch your video on the Arrows 64mm Marlin. And I see you don't like the landing gear on it. RC Castle have a nice set of landing gear upgrades. For the Marlin that are rally cool and they're only $ 27.95. I got a set for mind. They like the ones on the FMS. Yak 130 check them out
I see! Very interesting!
LOL - I think anyone who loves the Carbon Z Lineup, loves both ;)
As for the HH stickers, yeah, it's a bit annoying, especially when they put the stickers over painted surfaces. I've too always been sorta reluctant, but in our situation, we do put the stickers on, and I never give it a second thought. Seriously, I'm googly eyed over the scale lines - what stickers - LOL ;)
You should definitely get the Flex Innovations Cessna 170! Very good flying and looking model. I argue that it is better than the CZ Cub and Cessna!
Thanks for the video
You're welcome!
Do the tricycle gear on the C 150 so I can do it on mine. You know you want to 😀
I would consider it. Maybe I can talk HH into sending one JUST so I can do a SIDE by SIDE??? ;)
I like the Carbon Cub but it's just to big for flying off the road with ditches in both sides. I'd have to travel to fly .
You can do it Bill ;)
You seem to fly the cub better even though you said the cessna flies better. Pretty interesting. Nice flying!
That's so interesting! I guess more than one way to see these things ;) Thanks Brett!
These are my two favorite planes ,especially with the winds we are experiencing in Colorado also.
The 150 does seem to fly inverted a little better.
Good video
I have two 150s
NICE!
