I can't imagine anything scarier than being out diving and suddenly a giant great white swims towards you How can it look so majestic and terrifying at the same time!
Back when I was in nam I ran into a bull shark. We were 20 deep scrolling the jungle deep in nig nang we were in the shi*. Anyway let me get back to the shark. We were wading through river and I felt something down by my leg. I checked and at first i didn’t find anything. Then again I felt something hit my leg I reach down and sure as shit a 6 foot bull shark. I almost shat myself. I shot 30 buckets into that water but I don’t think I got him. Or her. From there we went on to dang sang province. That’s all I got.

Wow the information and narration in this documentary is first class, the footage is so good you feel like you're in the water with the sharks, you must of had so much patience waiting for the perfect moment to capture these beautiful animals and I sense such passion for the sharks, truly fantastic 😁
I used to do a lot of SCUBA diving and even more just swimming in the ocean. I was in the Navy and had a part time job in a movie theater when the movie JAWS came out. I saw that movie 23 times. I have not swam in the ocean since then.
Wow, what a story! It’s amazing how a movie like JAWS can have such a lasting impact, especially for someone who spent so much time in the ocean. I can imagine after seeing it 23 times, the fear of what might be lurking below would stick with you. It’s wild how movies can shape our perceptions of the things we love. But with your experience in SCUBA diving and swimming, you’ve had some incredible moments with the ocean too. Maybe one day you'll find that connection with the water again, but totally understandable why JAWS left its mark!

The existence of a species of sharks that are so big that compared to the Great White ,is astounding... The Great White can get very big, but the Greenland Sharks have been recorded by deep diving robots.... The Greenland Shark, for example.Check It out on Wikipedia...The drums in the background music is very annoying...
I wonder if the White Shark Nicole was born in Western Australia and returns there every 4-5 years for some reason. I'd love to be young again and be able to study these beautiful creatures on the water, and not from my computer.
I was actually part of the research team that tagged Nicole back in 2003. This was a joint project between MCM (Marine and Coastal Management) from Cape Town, WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society), White Shark Trust (who I was working with) and a few others. It was an amazing experience, and getting the news maybe a year later that Nicole had travelled to Australia and back to S. Africa was incredible. That information was a huge deal at the time and lead to Great White Sharks being added to the CITES list for protection. Previously they didn't have full protection because there was an argument that they stayed in "local" populations, meaning they only required protection by the individual countries where they were found. Nicole really changed everything from a conservation point of view.

@@magellantv absolutely, I swim in adriatic sea where they say thats not possible to see a shark in adriatic sea! I still have fears to swim too deep! And its possible to be attacked here too if i think better , there was I think but just few cases people were attacked in adriatic. But what Im trying to say is , they are interesting to watch! But trough the phone not in any other way. And yes its scary!

@@Philip-gn8wx if you dont know already we'll I'll educate you. marine biologist have said and they do say often that's the reason why seals swims in packs when going out into open water. It makes it harder for the shark to single out just one seal and also makes the shark less likely to attack when it sees bunch of seals. When it's just one seal it will almost always be locked on and attacked. That's what I mean by (They). (They) are the marine biologist and the people who are reading the script from whenever your watching an animal planet documentary.
Very well done documentary, and Andy Casagrande once again has the most beautiful footage ever filmed on these great and majestic fish....I wonder who the star of the film is? That is a good sized male shark seen in all the footage filmed from the cage (I assume in South Africa since the water is so blue) and he is most likely tagged and well known.
I’m a huge fan of Andy casagrande’s. I’ve seen every documentary he’s been in or filmed with sharks. I’ve seen most of his under water documentaries. And anything he posts on his personal social media I have watched. I absolutely love Andy…. And most the guys from shark week.
That being said I watch shark week because I love sharks. I know most of it is fake and I can’t stand all the attack shows the nat geowild plays during their 4 week shark feast. Anyways unless it has Andy in it I’ll take an actual educational documentary on sharks over dramatic made up shark shows or shark attack shows. All those do is further fuel the fear people have towards them. It doesn’t help teach people to love and respect these animals.

@@Philip-gn8wx if you dont know already we'll I'll educate you. marine biologist have said and they do say often that's the reason why seals swims in packs when going out into open water. It makes it harder for the shark to single out just one seal and also makes the shark less likely to attack when it sees bunch of seals. When it's just one seal it will almost always be locked on and attacked. That's what I mean by (They). (They) are the marine biologist and the people who are reading the script from whenever your watching an animal planet documentary.

Very well done documentary, and Andy Casagrande once again has the most beautiful footage ever filmed on these great and majestic fish....I wonder who the star of the film is? That is a good sized male shark seen in all the footage filmed from the cage (I assume in South Africa since the water is so blue) and he is most likely tagged and well known.

I’m a huge fan of Andy casagrande’s. I’ve seen every documentary he’s been in or filmed with sharks. I’ve seen most of his under water documentaries. And anything he posts on his personal social media I have watched. I absolutely love Andy…. And most the guys from shark week.
That being said I watch shark week because I love sharks. I know most of it is fake and I can’t stand all the attack shows the nat geowild plays during their 4 week shark feast. Anyways unless it has Andy in it I’ll take an actual educational documentary on sharks over dramatic made up shark shows or shark attack shows. All those do is further fuel the fear people have towards them. It doesn’t help teach people to love and respect these animals.
