Thanks so much for watching! I LOVE hearing from you all, and I read every comment, so let me know what you think, or any ideas you have for future videos, in the comments below!
Email me, I'll hook you up with my 3d printable tool set which includes hardware tools like an adjustable wrench, pliers and a 12 piece wrench set..standard and metric 👍 I have more tools on the way that will be added to the set, many of which are in the final testing stage right now. Although the tools in the tool set will work best if printed in metal or high temp hardened plastics, they are still fun and even useful around the house if printed in PLA, especially if your using the tools on newer, rust free nuts and bolts (or 3d printed nuts and bolts). I think this set would be perfect for your next "useful 3d printed tools" video. Btw..I just found your channel, looks awesome, I subscribed!!
I'm honestly so impressed with how enthusiastically you've taken on advice and constructive criticism, it's genuinely awesome to see your production and editing style developing - and your subscriber count climbing - with every new video :) Did something weird happen to the footage of you at 10:25 ? I'm watching in 1440p and that bit seems super compressed...
This topic is the reason I bought a 3D printer, I'm frustrated with suppliers not providing tools within a reasonable amount of time, over pricing, and missing design features.. I solved all of that by learning AutoCad and getting to know my printer. Thank you, it's people such as yourself that have helped me get to know the in's and out's of my printer.
The way you used that pocket hole jig was actually painfull. If the drill is not the same size as the hole you feed it through to the wood, you don't have any benefit from the jig. and if it does have the same size, the drill will eat your jig, so you need a metal surface inside there. Good idea in principle, but this is a one use disposable tool if you use it right. And if you don't use it right, you don't have to use it at all, because it does nothing for you.
Yep! Would definately love to see your 3D Printing tool collection, keep up the great work! Also the bearing screws etc you have for just in case projects would be awsome too!
All the videos! Do all the videos you mentioned! We want to see tools for 3d printing. We want to see extra parts and hardware for 3d printing. We want to see every video idea you can come up with!
Another vote for a video on useful components(!) I’m all about having stock on hand so I have it when I need it, being able to just place one big Ali express order to get equipped would be great!
So the tools all turned out to look much more useful than I might have guessed. It is very impressive where this tech is going - it wasn't that long ago that I thought that 3DP would never really end up capable of production level parts but it is getting closer and closer. Great video!
It’s Black Friday and I’m buying our first 3d printer. Was stoked to watch this video as these tools have justified the cost of the printer. Super useful. I also appreciate you talking about your mistakes. Have a great Christmas.
YES PLEASE for fasteners and bearings and press-fits needed for common prints. Received my 3d printer for Christmas, i am printing away and crash course learning and your channel is helping me immensely. thank you :D
LOL, literally only just watched your last vid and left a comment saying "hell yes" to the tool vid and low and behold here it is just like magic. thank you. Hell yes again to the 3d printing tools used in 3d printing vid. Loving this channel.👍👍
Btw for all of the screw measurers and fillet gauge you don't need to print in 2 colors, you can print it in one and get spray paint. Spray some paint on a flat piece of cardboard and press the side with the numbers/letters onto the cardboard and voila, you have easy to read numbers.
I would love to hear more about all the extra components you have around for your projects or even what you have on hand to troubleshoot your printers. Thank you!
i work with leather as a hobby, you just opened my mind in such a ridiculous way that i think i can say you changed my world. thanks dude lol, now i really, really want a 3d printer
As a leather worker, the list of useful tools is endless. Stamps, clamps, GLUE SPREADERS, clips, etc are super easy to work with. That said, the issue with creating a stamp is tough. You have to create a 3D design from a 2D picture. It's super tedious. If you have any suggestions on how to improve that process, I would be deeply grateful.
Just ran across you channel and am very impressed. Thank you for you time and effort. Most importantly, I pray you and all of your loved ones are staying safe during these horrendous times. Peace brother. - Dov
You are just a fountain of great ideas, secondhand maybe or original I couldn't keep up with the flow but I'm seeing some real possibilities here. Thanks so much; keep up with these useful shop and fixing problems type videos. Everybody has a world of challenges.
Just bought my first printer and been looking at videos to learn more about useful tools, cool first time prints etc. never would’ve thought this was a newer channel, earned a sub for sure!
I just ordered mine yesterday thanks yo these videos, I ordered a Bambu Labs P1S rather than the A1 because we have cats that might just get into the room while printing is happening.
I am DIY Hobbyist & Woodworker. I just bought a new 3D printer over the holidays. My goal for getting a 3D printer is precisely this i.e. building functional items around home & workshop. Your channel seems very much aligned to that same goal. Subscribed to your channel already & looking forward to more relevant content.
Yours is by far the best selection of printable tools that are actually useful. You're a clever guy. Please make more videos! One small thing. Maybe set your camera to fixed focus because it wanders a bit during some of your presentations. A minor thing, to be sure.
Please yes video for tools! And not specifically 3d printed tools, but actual tools I need. I just got my first 3d printer and I want to not have to head to the store every time I see a tool I’ll need.
I feel like alot of these 3d print tool videos dont have much to offer, but this video has a lot of great ideas!! Cant wait to print the makita battery and charger holders
Thanks for this! I was expecting the list to have maybe 3-4 useful tools out of the giant list, but you presented MANY useful tools. You also presented tools that weren't just specific to 3D printing, which is even better. I'd love to see integration of 3D prints with other building techniques, such as woodworking and working with metal. As an example, 3D printed bushings to work with steel square tubing, to permit rotation or telescoping designs that may require some mig welding, but that don't need lathe or mill work, because of 3D.
I just orderd my first 3d printer and binge watching your videos. Can't wait to start, but have to because the printer has not arrived yet. Thank you for your helpfull videos, I'm learning a lot!
MORE!!!!!! Thank you, Jonathan, for these print ideas and tools videos, please let us have more of them. I would particularly like to see tools and storage for 3D printing, both FDM and resin. This video convinced me to subscribe, so keep it going, please.
Please do make a video regarding all the extra accessories you've found on your 3D printing jounrey! There are so many cool things I wanna print, but I'm not very knowledgable with nuts, bolts, etc. So if you can make a video of what you've come to collect that'd be really great! Thanks for this awesome video! It's taught me a lot.
Getting a 3d printer for xmas, definitely printing bench dogs, that screw measurer, battery holders, iPhone holder for car that integrates my wire free charger, clamp stands right out of the gate. I’m sure between now and then will come up with several other things.
I preordered the p1p Bambu and it is shipped! Me and my friend bought 1 each to learn 3D printing together. it is tons of fun and cool to finally have bought one! We are both Starters to this and we have done a lot of training and watching youtube guides :D

Great video! So cool seeing one of my designs (the cold shoe clamp) in a high quality video made by someone on a different continent! Thanks for the mention!
The video on hardware would be great, I've experimented with some hidden / inlaid nuts and would be interested in more ways to implement that technique.
Hey there. Just so you know. The fillet gauge is actually used to measure welding fillets. Many kinds of welds need a specific radius to comply with code.
My favorite 3D printed tools are ones that go BANG! Yes, these are tools. They are not 'good' or 'evil' on their own. Only the user and intended purpose determines that.
as a farmer i can tell anyone how much it helps to have a cabinet with various bolts, nuts, clips, angle brackets, ect. just picked up a flash forge guider 2s at auction site havent set it up yet so checking out ALL the vids i can thanks for the tips and tricks to make better prints happy holidays from Oklahoma
Yes, interested in both a "tools for 3D printing" video, and a listing of "things" that you think are useful for 3D printing projects. Also, if you've added some more to your gridfinity setup, splash a little of that into the above vids.
I like this channel for 3-D printing knowledge. I think it’s tough to talk about tools when you start out saying a speed square is that tool you didn’t know you needed. literally every single person who builds anything has 12 of them.
nice!.... nut 9:45 did you just put that corner hole jig on the wrong side? I mean, the holes should go from one board to the other... or was your intention to screw the board to the workbench?
For the bit holder: Try out carbon-fiber polycarbonate, it's slightly flexible but also very strong. It needs an abrasive-resistant nozzle, a well-maintained printer, in some cases a temperature-controller enclosure, a ~100c bed and a ~300c hotend. Your Prusa should be able to handle that though! It's definitely not my favorite material to print with, but it is my favorite in terms of end product properties. Another thing to try is to just make a "solid block" with slightly oversized hex-shaped holes in it, and put a strong neodymium strip embedded in the bottom to hold the bits in their holes. Absolutely loving your channel btw, and the clean look of your studio!
Thanks so much for watching! I LOVE hearing from you all, and I read every comment, so let me know what you think, or any ideas you have for future videos, in the comments below!

I wonder if brass inserts would be a good addition. Should be easy to find and hold up for a bit even though it’s pretty soft.
@@IanFitty It might, certainly better than just trying to guide your drill with pure plastic
@@josiahbaumgartner7643 I'm positive you are just as painful to watch use tools
