    Can you use butter as a substitute for vegetable oil?

    • @JessicaGavin
      @JessicaGavin  8 месяцев назад +3

      You can use butter. However I have found that It browns a lot quicker due to the solids and can give a spottier surface. Ghee or clarified butter would work a lot better!

      It might be because the heat is too high. If the heat is too high the outside could be overcooked and the inside would be undercooked so I recommend cooking the pancakes at a smaller temperature.

      Thanks

    • @APreciousRuby
      @APreciousRuby Год назад +2

      @@Panthorius butter makes your pancakes more crispy and yummier, but vegetable oil does pretty much the same. I think butter is best definitely if you want a nice aroma, too. But butter will burn quicker than vegetable oil. It’s about the same! I prefer butter myself. Also, you would probably want to butter the pancakes in between 2-4 pancakes. Hope this helps!

    • @JessicaGavin
      @JessicaGavin  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for following along! Did you let it set long enough in the pan, until you see some bubbles emerging on the top? The edges should start to set as well. With chocolate, you may need to turn down the heat a little since there is chocolate that can brown faster and be sticky. May need to add a little more oil as well.

    • @JessicaGavin

      The eggs help with the browning of the pancakes. You can add some butter to the batter to enhance the browning.
