Good report Jason. I've got a REOLINK POE system with an NVR, two PTZ cameras and three fixed position. I've only had one problem in three years and REOLINK stood behind the warrantee 100%. Now back to the bees.
Great to see other my age out there living a quality of life instead of a quantity in life. Im big on security, Im a geologist out in AZ so im often very far off grid. I put cameras around my motorhome and mobile lab. They saved my butt a few times!~ Cameras never lie! I would suggest however putting a steel pole in the ground and put your camera up a good 20ft in the air, not only will it greatly increase your field and distance of view but it will prevent someone messing or damaging it! Love your videos
Life on the land is the only life for some of us. Security is very important these days. My camera at my home are 20ft up a tree but the Go PT cameras I use at our leased farm and I move them a lot, that's why they are low to the ground. Glad you enjoy the videos!!
@@JCsBees I already had one GO PT plus that I was paying $100/yr. When I saw this special promotion for $80/yr (5-year $400) with a free camera, it was a no-brainer to purchase the long plan with a free camera. I don't know if it's a regular promotion, but that package is still available. My cell reception is also not great in my area, but it does work.
After watching this i bought the ultra for my son who has landscaping equipment. Always the low life thief trying to steal from working man. Thank you.
Thank you for your perfect presentation of this incredible modern technology! 👏🙏 You showcase the remote control features using a smartphone better than the official Reolink videos. I’m sending your video to Reolink management suggesting they hire you !👍😀
I appreciate the kind words and actions. Glad the video was helpful. Here's another video I did after catching someone on my land ruclips.net/video/197m3zg0alc/видео.html
Loved your video. Having issues with trespassers on my farm. Does this system come with it's own sim card? If not, do you have one you would recommend? Thanks!
Howdy, great review. I also have spotty Tmobile service, will that alternative antenna you have installed work on the PT Ultra cam as well, if so where did you buy it, I know you have to be careful not to buy just any antenna due to connectivity and frequency requirements. Thanks in advance
if cell service is spotty and yihr using them for home security do they have option to connect to wifi like a normal cellphone would. At $200 a camera id hope so
I’ve had these cameras for years and you should all know three things: 1 Reolink does a pretty good job of standing behind their products, 2 That’s good because you are going to need that warranty, 3 The connection of the solar panel to the camera IS NOT AN OUTSIDE connection it is a micro usb or something. Not good for weather. Not robust enough to last any time. I have 4 cameras and NONE of them can maintain a battery. They could when they were new. Also for some reason when I log on to EVERY camera there is a strong signal then it falls off and buffers and buffers and buffers. Almost unusable. And this is on the lowest video quality.
Sorry to hear of the issues. I've used these camera for 3 to 4 years and never had any major issues. None! The only thing I've had break was an antenna but was easy replaced on Amazon and that was after 2 years use. I am not sure where you place your solar panel but mine gets at least 7 hours a day of light and I've NEVER had to bring one inside to charge it. I'd guess you need to relocate your panels. Also, I added an outdoor wifi booster, maybe that is why I don't have signal issues, not sure. I am truly sorry for all the problems you have had.
Sadly it can't do target following which is usually a basic function of a PT(Z) camera even in the lower segment. Without this the pan and tilt function is just a gimmick.
That feature would be very nice but as it is I also enjoy. I use them as pasture cameras to watch over land we lease. Most poachers don't realize cameras can turn nowadays and they try to cut behind the camera, it's so funny to see how dumb people can be.

I got a 5-year Eiotclub data plan for $80/year with a FREE Reolink GO PT plus camera with solar panel.
Awesome! How do you like the setup?

Finally smelling some golden rod. Hope all is well happy beekeeping.
Just walked through my bee yard and it sticks to high heaven, couldn't be more proud! lol
Show us how did u connect alternate antenna to the first one? ALSO what range does the cam trigger? That is, how far away will it trigger on motion?
I have one coming in today exactly the same one you have except mine is dark grey color.
Good info, we are in the market for a system and this looks like it could fit the bill.
I love my Reolink cameras

Thanks! You have to purchase the sim card. I like Flexiboom. I have their cards in each of my cameras. Good luck stopping the issue.
Great video. Getting one for one of my out apiaries. 🙏👍🙌💪🏻🤓🐝
Thanks, Richard! As you already know Reolink has some awesome stuff!

Hello Jim, Here is a link of the upgrade I made amzn.to/49fxP8i
Awesome, thank you
Hi, nice video!
can this camera record all day? thanks!
Thanks! I'm not sure if the battery would hold up if it recorded all day. Maybe it the solar panel is in direct sun all day.
Does it work in canada
So the original antenna can be bought to replace?
Hey Jason you said you had to buy an antenna for your Reolink Go Plus. Were did you buy it?
Hey Larry, I bought a two pack on Amazon for less than $15. amzn.to/474nMAS
Thanks a bunch Jason. Love the bee videos to.

Was your book published?
Getting closer but not there yet. Hopefully soon!
Book heads to publishing in the next week or so. Should be out on the market in January. Fingers crossed!
@@JCsBees will be on Amazon ?
@ozidanjuna2548 Yes. I will share links once it's released. Thanks for the interest in it.

Morning Mike, Sure miss our Facebook talks! How you doing?
I've been good just been a few bad bee years down a few hives. The joys of beekeeping lol
How y'all been doing
Doing well. Extremely busy even though we are heading into winter. When is my slow season again? lol

Bummer. We only have verizon in my area.
Verizon is what I use for my phone.
Interesting. I'll give them a call. I live in a very rural area of montana@@JCsBees
