Nick..☺️ So glad to see you..been a while. What are you gonna do?!?! I am EXCITED..I’m sure it’s gonna be..dynamically Soulful! May you be blessed in your journey, brother 🌺
I think about that all the time too, with different creators who like to push the limits on where they film. It's always a sigh of relief seeing them post after a couple month hiatus 😅
@@IndigoTraveller I know that that’s not much, but I hope that when everybody will see that they can give some donations here and it will start an avalanche, as they will start doing so more and more. All the best! 😄
You are so hardcore. I would never go into a building where the roof has collapsed, but you do it to show people the reality of the most vulnerable. I’m praying the people that live in those buildings are not harmed! Respect to Biggie for helping his neighbor and not being too scared to put himself in their situation. Be safe, Biggie!
I have been watching your channel for so long and you inspired me to start travelling the world years ago. It's so crazy you are uploading this now because im going to Senegal feb 25th! 0:12
This is so exciting, my friend. I’ve been helping out a small family of orphans in The Gambia, which is nestled inside of Senegal and I know they are similar! I’m hoping to travel there to see them one day. I can’t wait to see what happens next and next payday, I’ll help out with the project going on with your guide. So great to see you back. ❤️
Hey Nick, it's great to have you back on RUclips. I've missed your videos and your unique perspective on travel. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures!
Hi Nick, I am an American student living in Dakar for many months now. I speak Wolof and French. I am well connected and can show you around any places if you would like! Huge fan of your videos for years!
As a Senegalese I would like to say thank you for showing my country, and most importantly showing both sides of life in Dakar, which is one of Africa's most expensive capital cities. I've been following your channel since that Haiti video in December 2022, showing the rough parts, things the traditional news channel won't show you. Big shoutout to Biggy, he has been an excellent guide. There's of course an explanation to why you have all these disparities in many hoods in Dakar. It has mostly to do with a lack of urban planning, some people build their houses in areas that are prone to flooding, while the government doesn't take enough actions to organize everything; add to that poverty, inflation, and social dynamics. Thus you have abandoned houses etc. The ghetto you visited is called Diamaguene located in Pikine while the nice neighbourhood is Fann Residence. We have one of the best weathers, only problem is the dust, due to the harmattan winds; expensive city but hopefully in 3 to 4 years it'll change. Cheers !!!
I had a random thought pop in my head just yesterday of your channel, and today you come out of Hiatus with a new video. Thank you for these videos, some of my favorite content on youtube.
So excited about the upload. The visuals and narration were amazing! I actually laughed throughout, especially the part where the guys asked for a selfie and he kept scrolling 😂😂😂😂. My full support for your content, as always! Hope you joined them for a workout along the beach haha. Senegal has to be one of the countries with the fittest people in Africa. Health is valued over there
Hey Nick, thanks for another vid. Gotta say, out of all of the big travel vloggers you are the only one who's ego has not grown with the amount of subscribers that you get. You are still the same guy from your very first vid. Well done 👍
It's always good to see you alive and well! For the big holes in that house's roof, a decent temporary fix would be to get some waterproof tarps and long poles. Each tarp covers a hole, and the pole pushes the tarp center up to form a cone. Then, the rain can be controlled and gathered in buckets or diverted along a trough to get it down to street level. The rubble can be used to make check dams (small rock dams which slow water down and spread it out, limiting its force). Many of those damages seem water related already, so controlling the flow of water through the buildings is especially important!
