Heylo! I've seen the comments about the music being too loud. I'd like to apologize 👻. I agree that shiz too loud sometimes. Will do better next time !
I guess you can adjust the volume in the You Tube Studio. But for me is ok. (I struggle a lot with the final step, values, but you don´t make example about it, any recomendation to look at, or any video that you can do. :3 thanks for the video, helps me a lot!!
Okay, I have watched a lot of art tutorials, and this is by far the best one, and I am including paid courses! I think the secret sauce here is that a lot of artists will breeze over certain parts or completely ignore some very natural questions about the workflow. You didn't. Kudos, buddy!
You have no idea how helpful your videos are. I'm learning from a fellow learner. It is easier to understand your process because you are actively learning techniques. A lot of art tutorials come from pros who understand the subject much better, so rather than learning the process, it feels more like trying to achieve their results without the in depth explanation, if that makes sense. Keep up the great work!
I love this video! the editing is amazing and it is perfectly explained. I draw since I can remember myself and I have been drawing digitally on procreate for 2 years and I still don't know so many things! This is my first time seeing your channel and to be honest I am really surprised how you don't have more views and subscribers !!!
So much effort put into this!! 🤩 Your art is so amazing! I wanna start making longer form content like this lol! And don't worry I will definitely stick around 😌😎
I'll be a round brush main till the dawn of time cuz squares scare me. Btw. your editing is a blast to watch, keep that up fr! And respect for the Skittles edit u did, All in all, very funny & educational video, W 🔥✨
Your videos are gold! I was literally practicing some landscapes with some textured brushes, and noticed myself losing control of where the strokes went, compared to a round brush. Now it makes sense why lol. Thanks for the awesome video!
Ohhhhhh boi I'm deffinitly staying here, You have a really good chance of becoming my favourite art youtuber, your videos are soooo polished and I'm learning so much from them. Keep it up king
Honestly... thank you. I feel so stuck when tried to render and nothing good ever comes out lol. It got to the point that even trying to study how to do better made me feel stressed. But your video is so easy to understand - and also, so fun to watch - that I felt hope once again to push it further. You've got a new subscriber!
This is such a helpful video. So great to hear someone voice a lot of the struggles I’ve had in my own head while learning, and working through them in such a great way! Keep up the amazing work :)
the editing and work put into this is so good thank you for this! i struggle with rendering most of the time but when done right (aka me hyperfocusing and letting hours go by before i can even take a break) its actually relaxing and fun
you thank a lot on the video but honestly man; no, thank YOU for this video. this is all i need and your explanation helped me a lot. i just found gold today and i'll share it to all my friend since i'm a good citizen of the internet. keep up the good work!
Dude this was AMAZINGLY EDITED! I learned a lot of information that isn't super confusing, and your addition of comedy lessens the stress of said new information! Now, I wanna know what your gallery looks like with all those examples LMAOO
Jesus finally someone who explains it well while showing it. I’m coming from traditional art so it’s a bit different in technique. I was looking for some guidance on digital rendering and I guess I found it! Thanks man, also, love the editing.
This is the most helpful video on rendering I’ve watched. It has answers to all my struggles. I had little control over my painting, and now I know why.
Very easy to understand for non beginners to transition their artwork. The process you take is about learning. Im about to paint some lineart so this will help me make better decisions. Thanks bro. Cool memes 😂.
I wish you had more tutorials! Love your teaching style and humour too. Not a lot of digital artists explain thought processes behind the technical choices
I really love this video! Instantly subbed. You put a lot of the things that helped me improve + am still working on into words :') I personally really love a square brush with parallel hard/soft edges + a general use blender for most of my rendering. And texture under/over your main render layers is a great tip! As a small observation, not sure if everyone agrees but I personally would love it if the music was just a little bit quieter, I get distracted by it. But maybe that's just my bird brain! Really lovely video, thank you so much! I'm so excited about this new generation of art youtubers :'D
Thank you ! YES the music was definitely too loud :{ Idk, when I check on one device it sounds fine but when I uploaded it and listened it thru my phone I was sad boi cuz ye some parts were a little annoying. Working on it!
Dude i learned more in this video than all the art videos I’ve watched in the last year.. You did a good Job explaining everything and keeping it entertaining . 10/10
yo bro, you've litterally put like 90% of what I've learned about rendering in one vid; Wish I saw this 10 years ago xD briliant video, cudos~ great resourse for anyone looking into the topic
For the hard round rendering, Most digital artists I know (and myself) do not use a smudge tool and it can make learning to blend harder. The hard round brush is usually set to being pressure sensitive for opacity and you would blend out the full color areas with gradually lighter strokes and sometimes color picking from the overlapping lighter strokes. Smudge can absolutely be useful but in my experience it gets in the way more than it helps once you've learned to blend with the round brush, round brush blending is usually faster and when going from one color to another it gives you better control of the blend too. Hard agree that the soft round is only used in very specific areas, this is also a really powerful tool but can 100% make your life harder than it needs to be if you use it for too many things. This is a great video and I think you break things down in a really smart way to show people what you mean!
The values thing! I really struggle with them when I use colour. Started painting from greyscale to colour and that has not only made my art look better, but it saves me hours of floundering around in a render panic trying to fix things lol
This helped so much. I found the rendering style to be much easier for me because it forces me to look at the whole picture rather that focusing on every little detail people won't even see of care about
Thank you so much for this video! I’m currently struggling a lot with a painting and realised that I might need to review my value and colour choices before I jump into rendering ❤
I'm trying to get back into art again now that I'm done with college. I really enjoyed your video, entertaing and full of a lot of useful information. New favorite channel 😍
I loved your content and the way you explained it makes things go easier for me to learn and to understand. I've been having difficulties when it comes to rendering and thanks to this tutorial im starting to get improvised better :)
I worked on one piece for school for 250 hours using only two brushes a smooth, hard squarish one and a textured pencil one. I definitely agree that it takes time to learn to control the texture rather than it controlling you. At first i let the textured brush to give the painting it's character but after a while i learnt to use it to give it the character i wanted.
I really liked the way you spoke and how you explained things! Very easy to learn and very entertaining :) definitely going to watch more and come back to this later!
Well, I am officially inspired to paint right now. Your editing style and attention to detail is fantastic (I especially love your jazz music choices)! Looking forward to seeing you improve in your art and editing, you should be very proud! (:
The gddamn zombie moan got me lmao, subbed right there Jokes aside (btw love your humor), really good video! It's a bit funny because I already knew this all a long time ago, but since I'm a menace who edits her brushes every time I decide to draw, I keep complicating, over complicating and then over over complicating things to a ridiculous level. So um thanks for reality check, keep up the great work ❤
Phenomenal quality content! There are many artists, but just a few good teachers! You have a talent of teaching this subject. Please share your gift with the world! Thank you!
this is a great video!! watched your last one as well but im still astounded by the quality you put into these. cant wait to watch your channel grow + ur name to be as known as kooleen and samdoesarts, its bound to happen soon lol
you got a subscriber thank you! i have been taugh this methood but you are right in the sense that a lot of people overcomplicated this methood and makes it hard to apply and understand, THANK YOU!
dang this is one of the best rendering tutorials I've watched which I could actually understand lol guess I'll have to stop sticking to one brush for everything ✨
This is why I prefer digital over traditional so much. Make a mistake? Undo. Put something in the wrong place? Just move it using the lasso. Want to make your drawing neater? Layers! But with traditional art, it’s a whole different story: Make a mistake? Now you have to rub out half your progress! Put something in the wrong place? Unfortunate luck. Too messy? Too bad! Deal with it. See what I mean?
Never seen your channel. Just watched for 4 minutes and subbed. Between you and Ethan Becker I might actually be able to draw something that doesn't look like a half eaten potato. Keep up the good work!
