  • Unknown ABC station, most likely WTNH-TV.
    The first part (the hour long one) is already online but this isn't.
    In the beginning there is an ABC News Brief about the case, then cuts to the intro (?) of 20/20.
    Fair Use, educational, you know the drill.
    No requests, I do not have a recording of every airing of every show in existence, alright?

    In 1980, Dr Nick basically walked away with a slap on the wrist. The Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners found him guilty of over prescribing but decided it was not ‘unethical.’ They suspended his license for three months & gave him three months probation. He did, however, lose his license permanently in 1995 when the board found he had over prescribed medicine to too many patients for many years. For a short time he worked as a road manager to Jerry Lee Lewis. He then eventually got a job with FedEx examining insurance claims of workers injured on the job. In need of money, he auctioned off many items that Elvis had given him over the years. He died in 2016.

      Geraldo was a legit journalist at this time. At some point after the '90s, he sold out big time.

    Interesting upload and in my opinion the amount of drugs Elvis took was obscene I've been a drug taker a convicted dealer and seen the full side of things n the pills Elvis was on are as hardcore as it gets let alone the ammount he was taking plus the mix was lucky he didn't die years before they were playing Russian roulette with the mans life

    • @MMAfighter38113
      @MMAfighter38113 2 года назад +2

      Exactly. The man had no business taking the amount of stuff he took, particularly Demerol & dilaudid. If he was in that much physical pain needing opioids, which he wasn’t, he should’ve been in the hospital.

      If he wasn’t famous and lived in an area of heavy drugs, he would have ended up arrested like other addicts and been just another statistic

    Fame killed elvis, not his doctors not his friends, but fame

      Elvis destroyed himself. He lived a self-destructive indulgent lifestyle. The wages of sin is death.

      Elvis did it to himself but in my opinion his doctors should be reprimanded

    14 narcotics and codeine he was allergic to were all in his system. Ridiculous to say drugs played no part in the death.

      It was most likely a flat out lie to help preserve power positions within the field.

    That was a good story. By Riveraldo. But we now know those s so-called 10, OOO pills were for his crew too. Dr. Nick was their doctor too. It was easier when on the road. Elvis put them in his name for income tax purposes. Yes he did have a addiction problem, but not to that extre. He would have died long ago. I don’t know how ethical that was for Dr. Nick. But it wasn’t meant with malicious intent. His license suspended, I can understand that. But he was not the monster people thought. He once said “ if Elvis refuses to get off his addictions, I’m going to monitor him, instead of those street pimp doctors “ and there were times where Doctor refused Elvis, and he never knew Elvis went to those thugs. Dr. Nick said nothing to Rivera because of doctor client priveddge even in death. Til years later when he wrote a book. He had his own practice. He didn’t want to lose that. He knew Elvis from 66 til his death. So with zDr. Nick Elvis could have died sooner. I’m glad he was there for Elvis. Even if Elvis saw other doctors. Elvis went to dentist a few hour’s before death, the medication could have been fatal with other pills.
