    Split ends are the bane of my hair journey. I trim and trim and maybe I’m good for two week and then BOOM splits.

    • @DolceDawn
      @DolceDawn  2 года назад +2

      Girl, that’s why I stay on top of them because as soon as I don’t, BOOM! I got a thin patch.

    Hey Dolce! Good call on split ends. "We no likey split ends, ☝🏾not welcome here". Addressing those ends is the key ✂ Since I decided to wear my hair out more, I feel that trims are necessary to keep the hemline looking good. I can't stand looking at thin ends 🤦🏾‍♀.

    • @DolceDawn

      Exactly, Sandra!! I can’t do thin ends. They make me sad. And I like that term “hemline”. Dope! 👌🏾

    Great info! Yes trims and dusting are important.. I was able to skip getting a trim cleanup for the first time because of the dustings I do periodically. I do seek and destroy method for now and then minor dusting two week before relaxer. It has been working so well for me! I do have a bristle brush or had cause it’s going in the garbage!

    • @DolceDawn
      @DolceDawn  2 года назад

      Hey, Queen! I used to do the “seek and destroy” method, too. I was obsessed! LOL And I hear you regarding the bristle brush. My hair cannot stand up to them at all.

    I must say, you put me on a trimming/dusting schedule. I used not to even look at scissors aha But now if I see dead ends, I let them go without a second thought! I always enjoy your content, thank you!
    By the way, I've been dealing with bad anemia and I can't find the video where you were talking about blackstrap molasses, I bought a jar so I wanted to check how you were using it so that I can get myself started on this as well so if you could remind me that would be awesome 😊

      Hey, Marietou! So happy you enjoyed the vid! Yeah, dead ends gotta go!
      And the vid where I talk about blackstrap molasses is called Hair BnB. I like to put about 2 teaspoons in my smoothie and have even put it in my orange juice a few times as vitamin C helps with the absorption of iron. But I prefer the smoothie because you can’t even taste it at that point.
      Let me know how it works out for you. I’d love to hear what you think…

    Good video. Many many relaxed girls when explaning their regimen or their best tips to grow their hair, most of them tell not to wear your hair down because the hsir rubbing against the clothes can cause breakage. You show thats no true or not always true. I know some fabrics are more gentle on the hair than others. I hope you can explain in future videos. Thanks

    • @DolceDawn
      @DolceDawn  2 года назад +3

      Hey, Carbonet! Yeah, I’ve touched on that in my True Or False vid and mentioned it in another, but outside of wools and some polyesters, I really don’t understand the whole fear in wearing your hair down. There are plenty of ladies who wear their hair down a majority of the time, including me, with absolutely no issue.

    Revisiting this after relaxer. Trim done but I feel I must cut back to bra strap and begin again to mid back. I'd forgotten about Aragon oil to moisture ends. Better than coconut or Shea butter for me.Thank you I must purchase and find authentic. Any suggestions for a brand ? I will also try to determine a trimming schedule. This should help me finally get to mid back and stay. Thank you for access to library of information !

      Hey, kimberly! You are so welcome! I don’t really buy oils, so I couldn’t recommend a brand… but as long as it says “authentic” or “100%”, you should be good. And, yes, I believe and agree that a trimming schedule will definitely help with your progress. Thanks so much for this update!

    Hello, thanks for your informative videos. I have a question.. I am relaxed and my ends do seem to be dry. What do you use on your ends (while your hair is dry/flat ironed) to moisturize it without weighing it down? Thanks

    • @DolceDawn
      @DolceDawn  Год назад

      Hi, Kimberly! My pleasure! I use a heat protectant when flat ironing and serum to finish. That, along with wrapping my hair at night, allows my ends to stay moisturized. But dry ends could be the result of a variety of things. When was the last time you had a trim? How often do you use heat? Do you use a leave-in conditioner? I have videos on my entire hair regimen as well as some that may help you figure out why your ends are dry that you may find helpful. Once you figure out the “why”, you can address the issue properly.

    Its not easy for some to do a big chop but getting rid of those split ends is necessary.... split ends turn your hair into a baby!!!! Everything hurts them!!! So nurturing and cutting accordingly is the best way if you want that baby to turn into an Adult. ❤️ 🧡 💛 so too those who may have them now and its rough, dont give up!

    Hey Sister Dolce, I can't stand seeing raggedy ends. Females be like, my hair is waist length but their ends are terrible. I used to have mid back length but I had a set back because I was being too ruff on my hair. So I had to get a haircut. I just got a trim a month ago and right now it's bra strap length. That's why I went back to a relaxer because me and natural wasn't getting along anymore. But now I'm happy with my hair...💖
