Corncob jelly recipe

12 Corn cobs fresh or frozen
2 qts water
4 cups sugar
1 box pectin or equivalent
bring cobs to a boil in 2 qts water, lower heat to a low boil for 30 minutes remove from heat and using a fine strainer or cheese cloth drain and reserve 3 cups juice ( add water if needed to make 3 cups ) put on stove stir in pectin till dissolved bring to a boil add sugar all at once stir constantly bring to a heavy boil stirring constantly for 1 minute. remove and process immediately. water bath can for 10 minutes remove lid and let set for 5 mins before removing jars
