hey guys! I really wanted to make a vlog showing some things that you can do if you're trying to have a day off social media, a day off your phone or just trying to not be on your phone as much! I always get so many questions about what to do when you're not using your phone so I wanted to share some fun ideas :) it was such a cosy day and my mind was so much more at ease! if you've never had time off your phone or time off social media, I highly recommend it. it's so healthy and feels so good!

I like that. There is so much you can do to use your time, especially during this whole quarantine thing. Don’t stay glued to your phone, you’ll regret not doing new things in the future!

I definitely notice the change in my mood when I use social media vs when I don’t, and I love the days where I’m so consumed by an interesting conversation or a long drive that hours go by without me touching my phone!

About a month ago, I saw your IG story and decided to take the detox too. I always knew that using my phone/laptop 'too much' was affecting me mainly because I stopped doing things that help me grow as a person and just, have control over my life. When I was younger, I never felt anxious about such issues. I had more free time to be creative, I wasn't questioning my decisions or my personality or compare myself. I know it is not the same for everyone. Some people do tend to have a clearer approach to this. Personally, my screen time averaged around 7 hrs a day. Today, it was 2 hrs, which might not be HUGE but it is a start. Thank you, Jess, for inspiring and making me feel as though I 'won't be left out'.

Time off social media has been one of the most beneficial things in my mental/physical health recovery + spiritual journey!! I had a serious addiction in the days of my depression a few years ago, and even before that, after some trauma occurred and it became an escape mechanism of avoidance. I love that you advocate this, too!! Your vlogs are always so aesthetic && cozy 💛

I watched the social dilemma a few days ago and had some great conversations with my friends about it. It was really insightful! Love these kind of cozy vibe vlogs. I like to stay off socials on Sundays for a Sabbath day. It's so good for me to be by myself for a few hours and do stuff like this and take that time to get deeper into my bible reading and prayer. It makes me feel so recharged for the start of a new week.

This is my perfect day, even without trying to stay off the phone. I actually deleted instagram off my phone a week ago and it has been sooo good. I'm still figuring out how to not shift my focus to RUclips now, but I feel so much better. Love you so much Jess❤️

Thank you so much for this video. I used to not be able to live without Instagram but seeing your monthly detoxes inspired me to do them weekly. Now, I really don’t like social media. It honestly is so draining and not very necessary to me. Of course this is my opinion and I know some people have their life and job on Instagram so I understand that it can be difficult. But, setting at least one day in the month to just take a break is so crucial and helpful. Definitely recommend. Thanks Jess❤️.
