Hey nice video Mike, glad to see you like the T2 diesel heater! I was part of the Hcalory team that worked on improving the T1 heaters design over the summer. We came up with the T2, Really impressed with this heater. 🍻🍻
Great video, Mike! You're gonna love the Methods! I had Methods on the ZR2, and I couldn't believe how low I was able to air down. I look forward to the rest of the series for this year's event.
Hi, nice review of the setup of the diesel heater quite in depth thank you. I’m still not sure on one of those because I’m not sure how much winter camping I’ll do but might be some to consider and videos like this to help me. I know it’s early but great holidays to you.
David that’s a really good question. My main go to is my Power Tank. The downside with that is you don’t always know how much air you have left unless I pull it out of my rig and weigh it - which I am too lazy to do. Therefore, I have been carrying for a long time a Viair 40045 which is fairly compact as a backup. Which means I am always carrying two air up options which I am not happy about. I may install an ARB soon. So if you want compact the Viair is good. If you have space ARB makes a portable compressor that fits in a carrying case. It’s very good! If you want another option my friend has the new Thor Lightning air compressor which is well built and fast!
@@flyfisher530 Thanks so much, that's helpful. I was looking at the Viair 40043 but I guess I should figure out what the difference is between that and the 40045 you have. You also gave me to other options to look at with the ARB and Thor Lightning.
@@malmrup No issues! I just had an opportunity to try something new and honestly, I do like the inside fuel tank versus the outside fuel tank. Much more stable. Thanks for watching!
OK. Thanks. My Xventure is a pain. The fan is constantly getting stuck. Seems the heater is fitted too tight so I actually bought the Hcalory yesterday 😀
Did not see any, and no fire restrictions per BLM California Wildfire Dashboard Interactive Map for that particular camp spot. But if you know something different feel free to chime in! Generally it applies to wood campfires, not propane. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Victor looking forward to getting out there with you in the future!
Awesome video Mike! Great way to start the week. Thank you for sharing the onX details. Stay safe brother.
Thanks Manny I will be looking forward to our trip together! 🙌
Great video! Contemplating replacing my Intoxventures heater.
@@ldayers Mine had no issues, but I really like the interior fuel tank and Bluetooth connection

Thanks really appreciate it!
Love it!!!! Another great video Mike!
Thanks for watching! 👍
Thanks for the OnX info. That'll come in handy as we start our wet/snow season. 🙂(and yep, thats a great camp spot if you can get it)
Thanks for watching! And yes I always wanted to check out that spot and felt lucky no one was there!
That looked fun. Curious if you have recommendations for a portable compressor?

Looks like the 40043 can only be run for 15min at a time so I'm thinking the extra bit of size and cost would still make the 40045 worthwhile
The Bead Grip tech works great. I've been at 5lbs in the snow last season and about 8 on the rocks on the Rubicon this summer. No issues!
So awesome to know! Can’t wait to really air down and use them! 🙌
How come you changed from the Xventures diesel heater? Any issues with it?

Man I’m sorry to hear that. I used my XV quite a bit and it always ran fine. Maybe I was due for a problem soon? 🤷♂️
Nice video Mike u don’t mind sharing ur Alabama hills location thnks
Thanks for watching! I'm not really comfortable sharing precise locations, but I can tell you the area can be found with a Google Earth search.
Was there a sign at Alabama hills camp site about no camp fires?
Did not see any, and no fire restrictions per BLM California Wildfire Dashboard Interactive Map for that particular camp spot. But if you know something different feel free to chime in! Generally it applies to wood campfires, not propane. Thanks for watching!
@@flyfisher530 The reason I asked was because in your video by the pit with rocks I thought I saw a sign that's why.
Great video! Would you be willing to share the coordinates of the camp spot?
Thank you for watching, I dont usually share camping locations but if you do some research with Google Earth I think you can figure it out.
@@flyfisher530 I understand … no worries. I will do my research :) … please continue to produce your high quality content. Cheers 😊
