Yeah when I make videos like this, I either try to do research on what has least been covered, or sometimes I'll accidentally come across something like your Observatory death exploit. I will keep Galaxy 2 in mind!
I've heard about being able to die on Starship Mario loads of times, but never knew you could die on the Comet Observatory! Seems a lot more complicated than just infinite Yoshi fluttering...
There's a funny glitch you can do on the lily pads in both galaxy 1 and 2, if you hold crouch and hold up against the lily pad, and continualy spin attack the lily pad will slowly go up and up, and you can keep doing this for however long you want
I'm honest, you brought some crazily interesing glitches that I've never heard of before and I've CONSUMED Mario Galaxy Glitches so far, like I've watched a LOT videos due to being OBSESSED. Thanks for the video, it's awesome! ❤ 5:15 HOLY SHIT THIS GLITCH IS INSANE AND SO COOL PERFORMED! BIG SHOUTOUTS TO SPG64 FOR FINDING THIS OUT! It is blowing my mind! Also Tibs method holy shit this was amazing, I'm so impressed like who could pull this off in a f*cking speedrun just like that??!! Truly amazing! Like I said, I'm truly, thanks for the video!
Thank you! I very much appreciate the kind words! 😄 I try to make it a point to cover stuff that is rarely known about when I'm researching. I'm glad you got more out of this video!
2:32 I did NOT think it was possible to get up here this early. I tried hours of attempts by the engine room, but iI didn't know about the P2 jump tech
6:32 Nintendo likely knew these sorts of glitches would happen, so they added a failsafe in which you will die after 10 seconds of airtime in order not to get stuck.
If you do another one of these, you should talk about some weird geometry, lilypad lifting, mega sideflipping, and Crystal floating. There are a LOT of glitches in this game
I might actually give that Bubble Breeze skip a try! After getting all stars as both Mario and Luigi, my first time completing a Mario game with all stars - I said never again... but I miss it...
I actually tried dying in the hub, and *I did it* !!!! However, when I warped to the Trial Galaxies Planet, I could no longer fly. I’d jump, then shake my Wii remote, but Luigi *would not spin* Any tips?
I like how this video dives into some of the lesser known glitches seen in this game. You should totally cover Super Mario Galaxy 2 at some point too.

i agree. other videos i've seen dont cover these glitches

"Speaking of other ways to get high" LMAO... imagine hearing that out of context...
