It’s a limited time deal, not a permanent cut.
They did the same thing with the original pocket camera where for a brief period of time it cost $500 USD (original being $1000 USD) but after the time limit, the price went back up.
If I remember correctly it was only like a week timeframe.
I did not see that from Blackmagic anywhere. They said limited (old) stock, not time, but I (or you) could be wrong.

old box TVs and monitors (cathoray tubes) used to be expensive to make by in the days.
flat-screens, phones, motherboards are printed, super cheap to make in batches.
People need to start making lens options for the BM 6K FF because I can’t find any new videos about that anywhere on YT 🤷♂️

Seems I owe you a big thanks for the heads up. That has also made the decision regarding the image/stills quality as well 😂. I hope (know that I have bought the Full Frame) the open gate will be better for stills

How many 6K full frame owners were planning on selling it to get a Pyxis. In the US, it would have been easy to sell for around $2k. This discount really affects that plan. I had considered this but luckily decided to keep my FF. I wonder how this will affect Pyxis sales. Even new BM customers might buy the FF because it’s half the price of the Pyxis and with a great screen.
yeah is I was looking for a Full Frame Blackmagic - this would be the one to get - with Pyxis you just get a different shell and worst screen

@@CINENIMUS hahah, NO he's right, he's not deaf at all.The sound is actually good. Of course there's a bit of room tone that comes through more at times but the range of your voice is captured well. I have very good bi-amp speakers and a very good audio interface. That being said sound treated rooms are great of course, but not crucial for what you're doing here. If you have none, you can easily make a good voice sound recording as you did here. And my ears, well I love my ears, they do good, hahaha.

If you are new to this buy the cheapest they all produce identical image. G2 is most pointless though. A used 6k or 6k pro are my choices

Not really sus they came out with something that people want way more with the same exact sensor which will prevent these from selling. They should of never released this one and should of waited for the box one. Thye need to get rid of surplus inventory.
@@mortalrush as in too good to be true…along with the banding issues of the cmos sensor people have been complaining about, almost makes me believe the pyxis will have better amps and adc that will prohibit the banding and improve the noise in low light and that they’re trying to empty out their old batches of cameras.
its clear business decision by Blackmagic - firs they make camera out of junk and call it "cInEmA" - then sell it for MEGA cheap as it probably cost them to make less than $100
