A lot of us have experienced or may still be suffering from wrist pain and injuries.
Wrist pain/injuries is a common issue for athletes. We often put a lot of strain and stress on the wrist during training.
Pushing heavy objects, taking falls, punching, taking impact from vaults, performing hand balancing, push ups, planches, and many more physical activities can put our wrists at risk for sprains, breaks, or chronic pain.
The last thing we want as an athlete is too have to constantly train with wrist pain or to have our training put on hold due to preventable injuries.
One of the reasons why the wrist is a common injury spot is because the wrist is made up of 8 small bones and joints. There are also several ligaments in the wrist area. So this makes the wrist a very complicated area.
So make sure to follow these 5 tips to prevent injuries and chronic wrist pan in the future:
1. Perform proper warm up before training
2. Develop strength with the wrist and forearm
3. Develop flexibility with the wrist by stretching after our training sessions
4. Make sure not to over train (a common cause for wrist injuries/pain)
(Bonus) 5. Always use good form & technique with the wrist and arm joints. Have good alignment with the joints.

I'm so glad you guys do these videos for people who aren't already fitness experts. I started working out about 3 weeks ago to build the fitness level to do parkour, and every time I have a question I always find the answer to it in one of your videos. im a climber and my wrist has been bothering me for a few weeks now. and its affecting my climbing for the worse. Everytime i think its healed it starts up again after some climbs. I found this video very helpful thank you :)

My wrist and thumb hurts for me. It's like when I move my thumb and or wrist it's so painful. I think it may be due to what you said @ 5:10
The position at 3:59 with the fingers facing towards body exposes my inside left of the right arm close to the wrist to extreme tightness. None of the same tightness on the left arm though....any ideas ?

Now I have to wear WRIST SUPPORT when I am doing cheer/gymastics because I injured my wrist.... I finally got my round off backhand spring yesterday

I do all of these and I still experience spontaneous and unpredictable pain always in my left wrist that relates to no activities I do. Sometimes when I get the pain I can’t move my wrist whatsoever. Sometimes it’s minor pain, which always turns into extreme pain and prevents me from going full range of motion with my wrist. The last choice I have is to see a doctor which I am going to do but if anyone has any ideas please reply.

I've just realized the reason my wrist hurts is because my center of balance is off witch causes me to put more pressure on one wrist thanks for the help.
I learned how to solve a Rubik's cube and that gave me some more strength in my wrists

I'm an idiot. My wrist has been hurting since last week due to a fall during an ice hockey game, and I still go to the gym to do heavy lifting. My wrist is in excruciating pain after every workout that requires a bar. Im going to take a week off, its not worth it.
