I take a few shots on my phone- I’m an absolute amateur I bought a canon M50 last April- I’m still reading the instructions 🤣😹 Still haven’t a clue- I need to give it a go ! 😬😹
One of the joys in digital photography is the freedom to shoot whatever catches your eye. It’s not like you are wasting costly film. Loved your relaxed morning, it is the time of day I love the most. You do get to hear the world’s unique morning song we were meant to enjoy. You captured some true morning glory.
I like your comment about these are the sounds we should all be hearing. The sounds, the sight and I can also imagine the smell of fresh air and the water. Thank you for transporting us to Derwent Water on such a beautiful spring morning. Wonderful images of such a great location. Thank you Henry. I hope you enjoyed your brekkie and I love the hat.
Lovely atmosphere, Henry. The calmness/stillness of early mornings like these truely is like medicine for the mind. The music complements the content perfectly.
Henry I totally agree with your statement about peace and quiet - the only thing missing .................. Coffee lol - keep safe m8ty in what you are doing
Henry, that 1st pano was mint, liked the morning glow reflecting off the lake. No doubt a well earned Wetherspoon's full brecky and unlimited cofcof back in Keswick. What a belting steady, calming way to spend a morning with all thats going off around us. Keep going, always an inspiration when i watch your videos.
That Pano is great, with the contrasting textures of those rocks on the shore and the smooth, receding hills in the distance. Great composition all together😎
Great video Henry, and a good reminder that simply getting outside is good for everyone's mental health. Even better if you can take fantastic pictures while your out too. Enjoy the calmness and peace when you get the opportunity.
It's nice to see you completely chilled out instead of your usual rushing around. As you say if you see a shot take it. It is something i always do and if it's not what you thought when you get it onto the computer then delete it. You captured some really nice image's.
Another wonderful video Mate! Thanks so much for bringing us along. Early morning photography can be so fulfilling and productive, if you can drag yourself out of the bed. I have to remind myself that I can get a nap when the light gets too harsh.
Yep, mornings are the best, especially the really early ones if you can persuade your body to raise from the bed. Only the die hards will be out at that time. That pano at 9:00 Henry, superb ! Lovely feel to the video.
Hi Henry, my wife and I are off to Lincolnshire for a long weekend, and I have one of camera batteries on charge. I was thinking what shall I do to get focussed for a weekend of photography? Let's see what Henry is doing. Amazing location, Henry, the right time and the right place. Your pano is the one that hit the spot and had everything to say about peace and harmony. I'm all worked up now and ready to go and be 'chilled'. It's a no rush weekend, a letting go for a while and immersion in waiting for that right place and right moment before pressing the button. Thanks Henry, have a good one and enjoy your breakfast.
my favourite time of day :-) usually no people around so it's bliss just sharing time with the wildlife as it wakes up unfortunately ill health precludes me getting up and out early these days, unless I've been awake all night that is!
I do believe that during the opening of this video Henry Turner the Philosopher was about to make a grand entrance before Henry Turner the Photographer took over! But I totally agree with you Henry. I feel that the joy and calm that can be found when immersing yourself in nature makes one a better photographer. Your photos prove it. Another awesome video!
My problem when I have such a beautiful natural setting to myself is that I become so absorbed in the serenity and beauty that I often forget to take photos! Good discipline you have there, Henry!
I agree with your point about enjoying the absence of man-made noise, and I've been making the effort to be out for the dawn chorus on my weekly photo adventure for the past 2 years now, come rain or shine! As a matter of fact I really enjoy being surrounded by the natural world more every time I go. I also think that spending more time in one place actually "unlocks" my creativity rather than wandering from A to B, as my mind is more focussed on how much time I'm taking and less about what's there to see! Sunrise photography is the way to Go!
Lovely morning! I'm glad you left the ripples in on these for a more natural feel and also like tree branches sticking into the scene for the depth they give.
Loving the early morning light and the ways you have portrayed it, Henry.. also enjoyed the air of calm and relaxation in this latest vid.. All excellent photos but the one i am really drawn to is the pano.. top drawer Henry.. Thank you for a super calm episode..
Absolutely right Henry the beautiful sound so many people miss the gorgeous sight’s and sound’s out in nature-pure bliss definitely food for the soul! 🥰🤗♥️ Wonderful videos thank you so much Henry! I’ve Just been watching the Canadian geese and the little ones so cute Walking around Llyn Mair Keep up your great work! 😻🥰 🎥📷 🤩
I love finding places like tah where I can camp and just hang out for like 24 hours or so and enjoy the solitude while waiting for the picture to come.
I've never photographed- or even visited- the lake district but this episode definitely took me back to hopping around Scotland photographing lochs and landscapes on the moors. I love these serene experiences out in the early morning.. Well done, Henry! Cheers.
Your videos just keep getting better and better what a gorgeous morning I don't get images like that fantastic I was up at Bolton Abbey at the weekend got some great images but yours are at a different level regards Dave.
Wonderful video Henry. You’ve managed to crystallise the very essence of landscape photography. A crop of beautifully atmospheric images and a morning full of memories that will last a lifetime. Truly living the dream !
Hi Henry you can't tell people wot it's like you have to expirience it don't you been there many times you capture it to perfection its inspired me to try & replicate it thanks sooooo much mate cheers steve
I am not a morning person at all..... but I seriously think its the best time for photography, mentally and photographically. The calm and serene settings actually allow you time to think, time to compose and time to capture that important shot (or 3!). Great video as always mate. Stay safe! Peace!
It is always great to be out at a time like that when it is only you and the sounds of nature. You need to start wearing your Blue Jays toque again. The team is on a loosing streak. Help us get back on track.
Absolutely loved this video, whilst the photography was stunning the calmness of the morning was so relaxing. I'm sure I would have just sat and watched the sunrise without taking a single photo.
Henry, I couldn't agree more with what you was saying at the beginning of this video. Absolutely spot on with that and as always what a fantastic video 👍🏻
Thursday evening, cup of tea and sit down to watch Henry's latest episode. Another belter Henry and thanks for sharing. A breakfast well deserved as reward for the effort.
Very beautiful and calming. I find it a lot nicer/easier in these types of scenes to take shots as i am a lot more relaxed and breathe in aww. Odd thing i think, the first thing i noticed was the sheep beanie, and as i watched no live sheep, is this a coorelation?
Fantastic shots Henry. When I go to a location I have a couple shots in mind from scouting and Google planning. Beyond that I like to shoot what catches my eye. I find that my eyes don't betray me.....much. it also helps me improve my vision for photography. Really liked this adventure.
What a magnificent location Henry & fabulous pics... you really captured the mood....I could only imagine the calmness and peace of this location. Love the photo with the tree & water behind it ... great place to paddle a canoe around & take pics as well.. cheers from Australia 😀
Only catching it now and boy i needed it brilliant calming video. with stunning photography Loved that shot at 9.00 and the shot with the oak I seen what you seen and it works ! I hope you enjoyed your brekki . Well deserved.
Again, an absolutely wonderful and stunning video and I love this calm atmosphere in the shots. Just a little personal tipp - the best against fever blisters are some drops of himalayan salt water. This is my experience over many years. Apply it at the first sign of.
I love this video and the images you have created are gorgeous. They remind me of the work of that other famous Turner, JMW Turner, and his paintings of the Lake District.
Great video 👌😌 I am just getting started with photography in the last 2 years but when you said expose for the highlights in your video can you explain a bit more on that please ☺️ and keep up the great work.
Fantastic way to start the day , I got a week booked in Keswick in July about 15 min walk from derwentwater so after seeing this I'm really looking forward to it, if I can get anything half ad decent then I will be happy. Enjoyed this and the change of pace.
Looks like the same day we were fishing on rydal water . Great video . Ive just bought a canon m50 for my fishing photography so far so good great camera . Cheers again
Oh Henry, they were just wonderful shots mate, love them all. What a time to get out and about. I love the solitude of early mornings and like you say, the sounds we should be hearing! Unfortunately we have been woken at 4am for the last few days with a peacock squawking it’s head off!! Hope you enjoyed your brekkie mate. See you next time.Graham👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
By far the best video I've seen of you yet! I just love the calm vibe, the subtle tips, the stunning results and the picturesque views! Keep of the amazing work, excited for those flowery drone shots! Upcoming project? 🤔
Nice shots as usual, I suppose sometimes if you're looking for a composition and can't find one that can heighten you stress levels, but like you've shown if you just rock up to a location and enjoy the Vista and have a day of "Shoot what ya see". Hope the brecky was enjoyable
12:44 raises a very interesting question. At what point is a house background, and at what point is it an invasion of privacy? My thinking is various areas have different laws about such. This is a state park so you are likely in the clear. Also distance from camera is such that anything featured is likely not important. However I know from experience that Google will not allow uploaded photos of private residences out of respect for privacy.
Wonderful stuff again Henry - my favourite part of the day especially this time of year with the cool clean air and the beautiful soft light.. The birdsong and sounds of nature complement it all too. Love the images across to Blencathra - my favourite hill to climb in the lakes. But my favourite pic is the one where you "looked behind you" and got the shot of the pink light and the white house. In fact as you were walking along doing your piece to camera I actually shouted "Turn around Henry!". 😄. Brilliant once again. Mike Holmes.
What a gorgeous morning. No finer place to be than the Lakes on mornings like that. On that last shot would it have worked if you'd got down low so that the branch was above the background hills, effectively framing them?
Your comment about the sound of nature at the beginning of the video was great. I totally agree.
I take a few shots on my phone- I’m an absolute amateur
I bought a canon M50 last April- I’m still reading the instructions 🤣😹
Still haven’t a clue- I need to give it a go ! 😬😹
Hard to beat mornings like that, having the place to yourself with only the sounds of nature to break the silence. Cracking images Henry
Beautiful morning. Thank you for taking us along in your journey each week.
One of the joys in digital photography is the freedom to shoot whatever catches your eye. It’s not like you are wasting costly film. Loved your relaxed morning, it is the time of day I love the most. You do get to hear the world’s unique morning song we were meant to enjoy. You captured some true morning glory.
I know you’ll probably change it, but I much prefer the thumbnail without arrows. Great video. Thanks.
Love that comment..."Shoot what you see" Beautiful setting and great advice. 👍
The picture with the sun in the back ... really beautiful - well done Henry
Lovely atmosphere, Henry. The calmness/stillness of early mornings like these truely is like medicine for the mind. The music complements the content perfectly.
Love the oak tree image! Lovely morning! But you’re so warmly dressed. Chilly spring mornings.
A zen type of morning paid off with some really fine photos.
Henry I totally agree with your statement about peace and quiet - the only thing missing .................. Coffee lol - keep safe m8ty in what you are doing

Totally agree, being in nature taking photo's, is living!

Thanks a lot David!

A stonker! Love the light in these photos. I just knew you were going to say “brekkie”. Happy days

A lovely morning to be out Henry, some nice shots as always, even the oak tree shot turned out nice.

The panorama shot is stunning
Cracking images and it just goes to show climbing hills is not the only way to take landscape photos. Enjoyed this immensely

Gorgeous scenery and shots Henry. 👍👍
A really nice day of finding images. Caught some nice ones
Another winner! Love the relaxed approach! The pano shot was the winner of the day! Thanks!
