I've heard about this Henry from another RUclips creator. Apparently it is endemic on RUclips. My advice to viewers is to suspect a comment being false, perpetuating to be the channel host, if the comment is out of character for the host.
I'm seeing this on a lot of channels lately. Sure hope that it doesn't cause anyone to turn off comments on videos.

Thanks Henry, they contacted myself earlier in the week. They advised that I’d won a landscape print and Nikon camera as a prize for a comment that I’d made. They’re quite convincing and capable. The give away is when they ask for money for postage and packaging.
Looks like one way to tell if it is a scam is that it doesnt have the grey highlighted youtubers name at the beggining of the message. Genuine message will have Henry Turner highlighted in grey first as can be seen from Henrys first message here.

Great pic. Have become a regular on your channel. I only use my phone for pics, but still enjoy hearing your advice, and especially your enthusiasm. You also get me up in the mountains/hills virtually. It would nice to a caption with the pics you put on screen in post editing, to indicate if you are happy with the final results. I take it you were happy with your last pic, as it looks fantastic. Keep up the good work 😀🌄

Those moody skies you love; I love them, too. I think Golden Hour is lovely, but it is NOT the only way to look at the sky; in fact, most people almost never see the sky like that.
I also think the idea that we should not see the sky in a woodland is so overdone. IMHO, sometimes a really blown out sky, if the light is right, and streaking through a woodland, can be fantastic. So can really harsh light filtering through a forest canopy. But what do I know.
I do believe if we want to expand our photography we need to take a look at what has been generally accepted for the past several decades, and push boundaries.

I find it interesting that you like cloudy days for taking pictures. A lot of the time I personally find that those days make the scenery dull looking and not as vibrant as a blue sky or partial clouds.

That first shot was my fav with the strips of light. How many wainwrights is that now? Maybe you could make a playlist of just those so we can go back and marathon when you finish them all?

Great vlog Henry. I have just had a 10 day holiday on the north shore of Bassenthwaite lake. We walked to the summit of Cat Bells but it was too busy to take any photographs, too busy for me anyway. I absolutely love your enthusiasm for landscape photography.

Love that part of the Lakes Henry. (just got back from a weekend in Keswick for a charity walk).
I know what you mean about the shot not as expected when back home on monitor, i sometimes thought it may be down to only having a basic Dell desktop monitor and wondered if i could justify an IPS type one?
From your videos, i realise that i need be able to visualise the finished shot when processed from the details available to me, i certainly now look at clouds and shadows in hills in a different way, thanks for emphasising looking for these initial details when taking the shot.
ps, when in Keswick last Saturday, a large crowd welcomed a guy running into the square, he had just completed all 214 Wainwrights in 5 days 12hrs 14 mins, just saying😂
Constable who knew a bit about landscapes said the sky was a most essential part. He studied weather and painted lots of cloud studies.

I know what you mean when you feel underwhelmed by an image when you get it onto the computer, I often have the same feeling. Sometimes revisiting the photo at a later date really helps to reset my opinion and I do end up loving it. But that last image of yours - wow I absolutely love it and image you were not disappointed when you saw it. The layering is very pleasing and the sky moody and full of texture. Great image.

I've grown to appreciate dark, heavy, textured cloudy sky quite a lot. Still delighted by your enthusiasm to be out there, you certainly love doing it.

I think your images with dark moody skies is some of your best work Henry as you always seem to bring out the drama. Loved your final image today, had a real painterly look to it and definitely would like to hear an update on your van as strangely enough was wondering how you were getting on with it and lo and behold you discussed it briefly in today's video

Cracking video Henry, and yes I am 100% in agreement with you on those skies. Also, I get that too, when an image looks just great on the LCD, but then when downloaded, I get a feeling of disappointment. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm so happy and in the moment when I'm out with the camera, and I'm more objective and critical when sat in front of the screen! Have a great weekend!
I'll come clean, I've had a long term fascination with photographing beautiful clouds, preferably with landscapes
My favourite photograph, Henry, was the pool of water with great sky in the distance. I've always been a cloud watcher I find them fascinating and they often make the picture. My wife and I were at Flamborough Head a few months ago and the sky was amazing - it was the star that day. Nice one Henry.
that last image is just bonkers. you are right we should indeed appreciate the moody clouds more and i also i'm always looking for days with beautiful weather to go shoot. i'm gonna go out more on grey days, thanks to you haha.

I am a long time subscriber and greatly appreciate you stress esthetics over technique. After seventy plus years of image making your blog encouraged me to spend much more time making landscape images. Thank you for that. On another note I was shocked to see an image today that I thought missed the mark; the one with the puddle in the foreground. I felt the high contrast and size of the puddle caused it to capture the eye and killed the darker more interesting background. Henry Turner is not allowed to make any errors.

Hi Henry, another grand day out and a real corker ... thanks for sharing. I particularly enjoyed the last image but most of all understanding how you approach taking a photo. I must say I half expected to see a "thought bubble" from the Herdwick saying " I see you got sheared too". When it comes to making decisions, I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure. Keep up the good work,. I look forward to seeing the Blue Jay update soon.

I do like that last image - really beautiful. Ever since my film days I have used graduated filters to control the sky but a few years ago I discovered masks in Photoshop and switched to that device. The recently added feature in Lightroom of 'select sky' has made this control much easier and nowadays I can produce results much closer to what my eyes actually saw which is really great. NB I never use it to 'replace sky' that is in my books a step too far. Great vlog thanks.
I love your enthusiasm Henry, I live about 5/10 minute drive from the Western lakes but dont really get out and photograph the Lakes as much as I should.
Got some great ones however in the snow on Helvelyn summit only 4 weeks ago.

Another wonderful, enjoyable and informative vlog Henry. I love that last photo...just beautiful! But I know what you mean about feeling like you've captured a "Top Drawer" image in the field and then when you get home it's kind of underwhelming. Sometimes I let the image sit on the card for a couple days and then come back and revisit it before deleting it. Fairly often, after a couple of day's time, I have a renewed perspective on the photo and decide to keep it. Looking forward to your next video!

Henry, I also used to have the same thoughts as you, but I found that viewing your image on the camera it is condensed (more contrasty, stronger colours) then when you view at home on PC Screen (larger area) there more white/brighter pixel's commig through, hence not looking quite the same. If I up the contrast on my pc then it appears a lot closer.....Hope that makes sence...... Love your videos .........
