I HATE the trend of making the tires as large as possible where there is virtually no sidewall on the tire. Driving on these tires are rougher and they get torn up faster with potholes. The 19" wheels they put on the Venza are still good looking but much more practical to drive on day-to-day.

I have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder for hauling 7 people, bigger cargo, or towing to 5K lbs. What I want is to replace my 2009 Venza with a new tech hybrid with 35 mpg for my commute to the university where I teach, letting me save my Pathfinder for more years. Plus the Signia is a "lifted wagon" so it is easy to get in and out for older people like me with bad backs, a much appreciated feature of my 2009 Venza that is NOT in the current Venza. I love the large cargo floor, lets me carry wheelchairs and walkers for my wife, and easier entry/exit for her without switching up to a modified minivan.

I think Toyota gave up on the Venza from the early 2010s too soon. I think there is more of a market for a Mazda CX-50 style urban adventure vehicle today, and what the original Venza was kind of going for, than what Toyota is doing with the Crown in the US. The Crown to me may just eat into Lexus sales as opposed to attracting new buyers to the Toyota brand.

I like this style a lot. More wagon than SUV is a look that appeals to me. I’m going to be in the market this coming fall. This will most likely be on my list. Currently driving a BMW X3 but want something a little larger without the expense of an X5.

The rear door cards on the interior review are black, not the saddle color like on the front doors. Can't Toyota come up with another color besides black for the headliner, seatbacks and most other interior components? When this does arrive in LATE Summer (September) it will be priced well above what you could get a Highlander Hybrid for - not worth the up charge for a Highlander in a Tuxedo! I have a 2011 Toyota Venza - bought new and still have it - only 64K miles and still runs wonderfully.

    Roominess is misleading.
6 footers may have limited headroom because of the lower roofline and sunroof that could take up ~2~4 inches & legroom could be limited too.

You cannot fairly compare this with a Rav4 because the Rav4 will be at least 10k cheaper. Also the oil this is using is 0w8 which is super expensive oil to change. I see a lot of components that is shared with all Toyotas. I do like the size you should compare this to a highlander instead of a RAV4 since the highlander size and price will be closer in price and size.

21” wheels are a bad idea. 21” tires are incredibly expensive. It’s recommended that you replace all 4 tires on an AWD vehicle if you get a flat (so that’s going to be pricey).

Couple things: The Crown is one of Toyota's flagship vehicles so Toyota doesn't compromise on the Crown. In Japan, the Lexus is not ranked higher than any Crown. In fact, a version of the Crown for many years was the Lexus LS since Japan didn't always sell Lexus in the first two+ decades of Lexus release. Lexus was originally marketed ONLY to the US and nowhere else until a couple years ago when a shift occurred. The Crown does not sit between a normal Toyota and a Lexus. It is at the same level as a Lexus.

The RAV4 is small, uncomfortable, when driving it you get stiff from lack of room, feels cheap.I am used to a Camry XLE with all the options and no way I will buy a RAV4. Now, this thing is a class act. Love the room and styling, quality and comfort. I am not a fan of the 21 inch wheels at all, but if I don't feel the road with them on I can live with it.
