Thanks for the review. I'm looking at these compared to a Nitro Skylab TLS which seems to be aimed at a similar type of rider: do it all, all mountain, split compatible boot. Got any insight to share?I'm rocking the Nitro x Spark binding, so I'm strongly considering the Nitro boot for fitment reasons, but the Tourist seems more well-renowned since it's been out there for a couple of years.

I haven't tried the Skylab TLS so hard to say. The Nitro boots I did try run narrow though. Like I said in the review the Tourist's one main issue is they are very soft on the sides so it makes side hilling more difficult. I wish they had more support in that area. I would go with the boot that appeals to you because Burton uses Spark base plates too so the Tourist fits Spark, Nitro & Burton split bindings very well just like the Nitro probably will too.

@@thegoodridesnow Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply, and creating these helpful videos! I ended up ordering the Skylab TLS as they were priced similarly, and the Skylab being a newer design claiming "the lightest splitboarding boot on the market" swayed me in their direction. Thanks again for your input, all the best from Norway :)

How do you like the skylabs? Is the walkmode legit or a gimmick?

hey there, just getting into split boarding and want to try these boots out. Did you find that that these match up to actual street size shoes? You said you wear a 9 but wasn't sure if you ordered a 9? when I use the snowboard boot fit scale it always shows I should order an 11 as far as mondo sizing conversion but I'm a street shoe 12 ½ so was wondering if you ordered your actual street shoe size and if they fit right. Thanks!

Yes I wear a 9 and ordered a 9. I am a true size 9 and an E width and regular Burton boots fit me after some semi-aggressive heat molding on the sides. Some shoes and boots don't fit me well because I'm wide and I have to size up. If you can tell me your true shoe size and width (very important) on a Brannock scale at a shoe store that would be the only way I'm comfortable recommending the right boot size.

@@thegoodridesnow my size is 28.9 cm or 11 ⅜" and 10.1 cm or 4". That's my largest foot measurement but they are both within a mm of each other. Here's the RUclips vid that got me started on my search for the right boot size ruclips.net/video/q1pNBJ5pXBU/видео.html
it's pretty good info. According to mondo size chart I'm an 11 boot size and that is freaking me out! But I started with a size 13 and those were way too big, went to a 12 and those are still too big according to how the snowboard boot is supposed to fit (pretty snug). I just ordered an 11.5 and wondering if I should just hop straight to an 11? just seems crazy to me.

Hi, I ride only in resorts, do not plan split boarding, but i can get a really good price for theese boots. Should I take them or should I buy "normal" boots? Thanks.

I would buy normal boots. You get more shock absorption and a more resort friendly boot if you do.
