Been working in TV and video for 15 years. The struggle is real. Luckily what I do is mostly post, but still. That's why I admire James so much. Even though the content is campy and cheap, the AMOUNT he churns out is insane. Crazy work ethic.
The Angry Acting Nerd is the best way to sum up the ending outtakes.

Humble and human as always. Its not easy to show the world our imperfections, especially in this manner, and one could say "yeah its easy now when he's famous", but the thing is James has been honest with us from the start, and his documentaries really show that. This was not a typical funny outtakes video, while watching I could feel many things and I could feel that James wants to encourage more people to follow their dreams, even when the going gets tough. The "ending" says it all because he is still doing what he loves. Thank you for staying true James, I know this was a bit of a touchy-feely comment, but I'm a long time fan, so if you, Mike or anyone from the crew are reading this, I wish you guys all the best in the following years, cheers ;)

Fellow film student here. I think he does it as an audio cue to pin point where he messed up and know when to cut the failed attempts in the audio recording.

It's a cut clap. Some people slap, some people clap, some people even have a button they push that records a loud beep into the track.

Holy hell, James! These outtake compilations really give insight about the amount of work you have with these "quick" internet vids. It shows all the effort and passion that you keep putting in them parralel to your everyday life of being a working and loving father, husband and cat owner. Big thank you for all these years from Germany! :)

Watching the Nerd try to angrily land the right line is just about the most meta event I have ever witnessed.
My dad hears all these grunting sounds and curse words and asks "Little missy are you wathcing the pornography?" No dad, this is so much better than smut.

if feel it comforting that the nerd gets frustrated when doing takes. it shows that no matter how many years that youve done something, you still mess up and have to redo it, whatever it is youre doing creatively.

I feel so much better after seeing someone at your stature go through the same issues as I would get so annoyed sometimes. Especially when the lines should be so simple(some of the stuff you tripped up on seemed more complex haha). I think these kind of videos you've been posting definitely show why people love to support you.
James remains one of the best youtubers imo. Content never fails to entertain me, and never lacks quality either. Even the outtakes.

James I have an idea, you could use the outtakes of you being angry at yourself for not doing the shot correctly and use it in the episodes as a more realistic emotion when a games pisses you off!
