Wow Mike. Nailed it. One of the greatest VH songs. Daves vocals were spot on, Eddie crushes it with melodies and shredding, Michael was smooth, and you covered Alex perfectly. As always, great video and its alot of fun to watch a talented drummer have fun while playing. Often, drummers are forcing hard hits, and rushing through tricky fills. Im sure this takes alot of time and effort, and it shows. Great job. Please keep covering Van Halen material. Im reliving my childhood as I tried these same songs (with far less goodness!). So, Eddie has some pretty signature licks and I can pick em out in seconds. Does Al have the same sort of things he uses? These videos are awesome, by the way.
Thank you Gonz! I would say Alex biggest signature things are riding on the crash cymbal, his left foot playing 8th notes on the hi hat pedal, his super fast right hand (playing 16th notes), and his loose/sloshy hi hat technique. But for sure his biggest signature trademark is his snare sound IMO!

Mike, you videos are great. So is your drumming! I'd like to ask how you built your tom setup. What did you use for the concert toms and how did you mount the electronic pad into the concert tom? I think you built one of the coolest looking hybrid drum kits I've ever seen!!

Thank you Gonz! I would say Alex biggest signature things are riding on the crash cymbal, his left foot playing 8th notes on the hi hat pedal, his super fast right hand (playing 16th notes), and his loose/sloshy hi hat technique. But for sure his biggest signature trademark is his snare sound IMO!
