Fuck man. When Roth decides to actually put effort in and sing the songs, NO ONE comes close to that man and his vibrato. Just glorious. This was a rare treat on a bad-ass tune. Goosebumps man, goosebumps.
I still think many people don’t grasp how amazing Edward was a player. He played some of the most sophisticated and diverse guitar work ever. And he was still playing at that extremely high level of skill into his late 50’s approaching 60’s. If you don’t think that’s hard, watch clips of Clapton as a young guy and then clips of him in his late 50’s … no where close to the level he was. EVH was so talented that no matter his health, age, or drama he was still executing with such incredible precision on some extremely difficult material. Just no words to describe that level of talent.
It's one of my favorite VH songs and terribly underrated. Dave actually sounds ok here. It's all about EVH, though. The last minute of this song is aces.
With David Lee Roth you just can't predict on a live stage what sounds are going to come out of the guys mouth. But yeah it's a great song and Dave actually is bringing some great energy to it here
Apparently you can't hear. Dave's voice is nowhere near how good it was when fair warning came out. David's not doing a good job at all here like you claim. It's obvious he hasn't practiced for the tour.
No Mikey no backing vocals worth a damn That said, Wolfgang is almost certainly a better musician than Mikey. But he can’t imitate that signature part of the band vocally
Was at The Men’s Club in Reno Nevada maybe 10 or even 25 years ago ( I don’t remember) , and I asked a dancer if that was Diamond David Lee Roth sitting at a nearby table. It was short haired Dave. When I left the club I walked by and told him that as a teenager and well into my 20’s he was the one guy I wished I was. 💪👏👍🎤🎤🎤🎤
What a great concert, I love this live album, heavy rotation in my car over the years. I saw the brothers a couple of times in concert during this era, and it was always a great show. Dave still has a little bit of sexy left, too, a little Sting-like youthfulness.
Still makes me sad that we never got that tour w/ Michael Anthony, Hagar, Roth, and Gary Cherone that Roth talked about back around sometimes in 2017ish. Wolfie era is real deece.
Rarely do you see dave actually try to hit the notes. Seems like he was really putting effort into singing here. Was this the show that went on the live album?
DLR still had his voice. I can hear it, but I dont know why he trys to high pitch. Thats what ruins it. He was never a high pitch singer excpet for is screeches and woahs
A tribute tour featuring Dave and Sammy switching off on Vocals, AVH on Drums, Wolf on Guitar and Michael on Bass. You're talking a sellout at any stadium then
Unfortunately it's not the same without Mike Anthony. And DLR is just a shadow of what he used to be in every sense, both vocally and visually. That being said Eddie and Alex still rocked and were able to provide a solid performance.
imagine the moment in time when wolfie really understands the world and how things go etc.....and then realizes that he is the son of EVH. and later on gets to take the stage with his dad and uncle....... ive always enjoyed Dave as a front guy but seems to have gotten a wee bit weirder as he got older. but i gotta say that goddamn gum chewing he does on stage while singing is more annoying than nails on the chalkboard
Fuck man. When Roth decides to actually put effort in and sing the songs, NO ONE comes close to that man and his vibrato. Just glorious. This was a rare treat on a bad-ass tune. Goosebumps man, goosebumps.
So good !!
Eddie's playing sounds like an Orchestra. Phenomenal. I'm totally blown away from what Eddie Van Halen has written over the years.
EVH hits his own pedals. love it.
Ed, when you look from above...be so proud of what you gave the world: your virtuoso. Enjoying it every day❤
Fair warning what a huge Album , arrangements out of this world.
Truly, a Van Halen album. Puts up a good fight with the first one.
I love fair warning.
Chills and tears at the same time. God bless Edward Van Halen.
The world is different with you Ed ,we miss you forever ❤️ ❤
It is a tragedy Dave couldn`t be 20-35 forever,he was a magnificent creature in his prime.

Eddie was the best.
No they do they just don't need you staring the obv
They are well aware I saw him in 1986 and age nothing to do with it ,Beck playing great in his 80s
@@holland736 INTO HIS 80s? YOU REALIZE HE DIED WHEN HE WAS 78. YOU NO GOOD WIT WIRDS OR NUMB ERS
And he was sick for a long time and kept at it.
So bad ass watching these guys❤
It's one of my favorite VH songs and terribly underrated. Dave actually sounds ok here. It's all about EVH, though. The last minute of this song is aces.
My favorite album !!!
I completely agree!!
Holy F*ck - greatest VH footage I have ever seen!! Thank you!!!
With David Lee Roth you just can't predict on a live stage what sounds are going to come out of the guys mouth. But yeah it's a great song and Dave actually is bringing some great energy to it here
The best live performance of this song since 1985. Hands down. Dave or no Dave! Thanks to Wolfie for making it happen!
Apparently you can't hear. Dave's voice is nowhere near how good it was when fair warning came out. David's not doing a good job at all here like you claim. It's obvious he hasn't practiced for the tour.
@@edwardramirez9098 No need to get rude dude.
Yes. Dave sucked. However, the music made up for it. Happy now?
No Mikey no backing vocals worth a damn

@@SuperGaleford True. That is a fact. Never denied that.
@@edwardramirez9098well it’s all over now so
Lead and rhythm all wrapped up in one...the best in our generation for sure.
One of VH’s very best 🥇🏆🏅
They sound so amazing here. Eddie Van Halen Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Forever Miissed
Legend !!!!!! Great video.
Wolf just killing it on that Bass
Dang, Wolfgang is a solid and tight bassist in this vid, I really like it🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
wow...I miss the 80's
Dave is a badass. I'm walking don't need no ride. No explanation just wasting time
What a great effin song. That album is/ was magical.
It’s amazing how much Ed sang!
Hot Damn!!! The break before the solo is so great cuz then Eddie Breaks in with the solo and the TONE is soooo great!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I saw this tour in Tampa and Dave was awesome as was the entire band
I love the Fair Warning era. I saw that tour back in 81.
This is the best I’ve ever seen Dave sing live.
you've got a great sense of humour!!
No one can touch him,no one RIP Master 🙏🏻🕊️🌹👑
This should be out on Blu-ray. We’re not getting younger!
IDK, I think Dave sounds great.👍
Last time David sang decently!
He sounded good on the solo songs he's released on his channel over the last two years.
When your dad is Eddie Van Halen and your uncle is Alex Van Halen...you can bypass the garage band phase.
Tboneman, Thank you!!
NASTY GUITAR!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Rest in Peace, King of Six Strings! EVH 🙏
Eddie never played better. RIP.

Still get choked up every time I'm reminded that EVH is gone.my favorite band ever- alex- the reason I became a drummer.😃
Me too. The music died with him. Such a loss
What a great concert, I love this live album, heavy rotation in my car over the years. I saw the brothers a couple of times in concert during this era, and it was always a great show. Dave still has a little bit of sexy left, too, a little Sting-like youthfulness.
Uncle Dave singing like in them old days - great performance!
FAIR WARNING was amazing
Long live King Edward !! The best of the Best !!!
Long live the King !!!!!
Dave doesn't sound half bad in the video 😊
Chorus = lets spend the night together now i need you more than ever 🎶😉
Still miss ya Ed 😢
Thanks for sharing!! 👍😊👍
Ótimo áudio!
Alex in the pocket as always

Damn....Wolfie has some chops...goddamn!!!
Legends
I enjoyed the vid . Thanks for the post CAMCURSE
10+++++++++
King Edward Van Halen !
Seems like that's off the planet these days.😎
Remember when guitars ruled the world...
Rarely do you see dave actually try to hit the notes. Seems like he was really putting effort into singing here. Was this the show that went on the live album?
Yes, this from the Tokyo Dome live album that was released in 2015.
Yes, i think it's the same.
Painful....sorry...off key....
Already got taken off RUclips 😢
haydenferguson1 Then how am I able to read your comment.?
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 Maybe it disappeared in his country.
Eddie was and will be king
FUKKIN REAL ROCK N ROLL!
Magic❤
Hopefully in 100 years people will also remember Edward was a great SINGER too. He and Mike together was as good as Paul and George.
DLR still had his voice. I can hear it, but I dont know why he trys to high pitch. Thats what ruins it. He was never a high pitch singer excpet for is screeches and woahs
Agree. It's strange. He can sing like the recording just fine. Stick with that register.
Wow, backing vocals sound amazing. And without Mike. Imagine that.
It’s not the youthful magic of the original lineup but it’s still pretty damn good.
What's called for now is a Dave era Eddie tribute. Dave, Wolfie, Alex and a guitarist to be named. That would rock!!
Satchel from Steel Panther would be a good choice. Or even Paul Gilbert. Both are huge Eddie fans.
Would be great but I don't think Alex will ever play again. He sold every single drum kit he had. Without Eddie, he lost his love to play.
A tribute tour featuring Dave and Sammy switching off on Vocals, AVH on Drums, Wolf on Guitar and Michael on Bass. You're talking a sellout at any stadium then
Just got the evh red and white striped series giutar
Tokyo Dome? 5 stars….
@ 2:37...
Wolfgang throwing down 'cuz he don't wanna hear about later...recognize...
There is the real Van Halen
And dave is too great, he have Lost his voice but dave is always DAVE🥃🥃🥃
Unfortunately it's not the same without Mike Anthony. And DLR is just a shadow of what he used to be in every sense, both vocally and visually. That being said Eddie and Alex still rocked and were able to provide a solid performance.
without Michael Anthony's backing vocals, it isn't complete
What year wasthis?
2013
Wow

Roth is pathetic! They should've just let Wolfgang sing.
imagine the moment in time when wolfie really understands the world and how things go etc.....and then realizes that he is the son of EVH. and later on gets to take the stage with his dad and uncle....... ive always enjoyed Dave as a front guy but seems to have gotten a wee bit weirder as he got older. but i gotta say that goddamn gum chewing he does on stage while singing is more annoying than nails on the chalkboard
I'm sorry but Dave is way over the hill... Never took it seriously
Great singing on the record but live, Dave sounds like karaoke. Yet he is still an unreplacable part of VH
Dave sounds awful…..dude time to give it up
He has given it up.
Dave should have stayed home...
The original was much better
Visually boring
DAVID LEE ROTH SOUNDS TERRIBLE
I'd demand a refund if i was subjected to such crap singing (talking). Shame on Ed for even thinking this would have worked. Ughh..
this song sucks. Just sayin
I still miss the King Edward Van Halen 😢
Dave sounded so good in the old days. He’s horrible here imo. His voice was shot.
