Cassettes? My 11 year old daughter crossed paths with a compact cassette recently and said 'What is this!?' She didn't know what a compact cassette was, so needed educated in what a compact cassette was.
Seen them play many times, sadly didn't get the recognition they deserved, great talent, hope when this virus comes to an end, we can all get to hear and see them again.
Come on now lads how many of us is this song about... me for one. There was always some other prick who for some reason bagged the girl we adored. Why, well it's in the lyrics. Peace all.
Sounds a bit like XTC's Mayor of Simpleton, not as good though, as certainly not as good as the perfect pop that Roll to Me was... Still, a worthy effort from a band running slightly out of steam.
This band has never been as popular as it should be. It's unfair!!!!
Absolutely ace tune. Should've been massive but those of us in the know are quite happy to keep it for ourselves.
So very true. Criminally under the radar. Better than oasis, by quite distance. Musically, lyrically, yet those idiots have gold cars
Great song 😊
I feel 15 years younger when I listen to this song.
Having a resurgence on the Del's just now. Wonderful songs every time. Would love to see them live again. ❤️
I love the lyrics from Del Amitri. Sums up most of the Scottish psyche...self depreciatory and blunt humour. Great band.
Still love listening to this. Just great ! Love the Dels !
Fantastic track by a Fantastic Band.Bought the album in 1997 especially for this track but the whole album is brilliant!.
This was the first single I ever bought, still have the cassette somewhere...great memories 💜

sweet to find del amitri on you tube. Its not about everything amazing...its about trying... that's where its at xx
When i worked in the uk the drummer (Mark) was at the same company, Super nice guy.
Mark is a top guy.... Shit bus driver tho 😉
she wants that one bit of geography i lack , thats pretty poetic.
Great song, Justin Currie is an excellent song writer. Never seen this video before though, should have been a hit...
The song was a hit..pretty sure top 20
Beautiful
My fav DA song 😊💙👌
I fucking love Del Amitri..
I'm rather fond of them too.
I like it too
Genius song. Incomprehensible video.
Ha ha. Totally agree. I stopped trying to make any sense of it when that fish fell off the wall.
Amo essa música
I swear the intro guitar is the start of the Crossroads theme tune
Always loved them, and love them more every time.
Obra maestra
Great band, , side with male pain in many of their songs. Identify with this lyric , the more you want the further away you get.
Byrds + Teenage Fanclub = del amitri

Intro sounds like Crossroads lol.
best comment ever
@@RJH1971 Haha, thank you! 👍. It does though! 😝. Love a bit of the Del!

This sounds like major of simpleton
How can they insightful poetry like Nothing Ever Happens and then resort to mundane crap like this?
This is a great slice of power pop/rock and Del Amitri were one of the best underated Brit bands ever!
