One to keep an eye it is "Struggle for the Iliac Bay" made by the same dude who made Vasnar. Set in the Elder Scrolls universe, during ES2 Daggerfall, the content in it so far is pretty top tier
having spent a few hours on "Struggle for the Iliac Bay" now, I think this mod does dungeon crawling and quests better than Skyrim. Sure you can't loot enemies, you have fewer equip spots, and the magic is basically just throwing/pistols, but dang the dungeon crawling and quests are good. Didn't even play it like a warband playthrough, just played through it like I was actually doing an Elder Scrolls rpg.
@@JunelieArthur111 one thing I really like was that the dungeons/ quests were actually rewarding, like if you get a daedric relic then you feel so powerful. You can absolutely slap the shit out of an army near enough solo with the mace of molag bal. Is it OP? Yes but it's lore accurate and fun
Ain't you the dude who made world of vasnar and struggle for the iliac bay? If yes then I'd like to give you my personal kudos to you for listed mods as they are absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mount and blade lowkey one of the greatest games of all time. Its truly a relic. I never thought I'd get years and thousands of hours of gameplay from a simple game and still want to continue playing.
Awesome updates, thanks Terry! Especially excited to try Adventures in the East, Calradia's Borderlands and Native New Design. Also good to see A World of Ice and Fire going strong, definitely one of the best Warband mods out there!
I recommend the mod called Light & Darkness Heroes of Calradia created by some Chinese modders is like a new game with very interesting mechanics. Another similar mod is Nox RPG
it was too buggy to play anyways. the game felt a bit repetitive and the sieges were terrible. The dev's should not have prioritised features over other important things.
Sengoku Era is based around Viking Conquest, which is frankly THE BEST WARBAND EXPERIENCE, so it will be one if not THE best Warbando mod created. Can't wait. I have fond memories of the original Gekokujo, and this remake looks perfect, down to last minute detail.
Nice video, but in the upcoming section it would be nice if you had also mentioned the Red and Blue v5 update(current version is v4.5) which is an active multiplayer mod about the spanish civil war. The update is due to happen in the coming weekend and the first event on that update will be on the coming Saturday. Also, North and South First Manassas, the original and multiplayer focused civil war mod for Warband also got a minor update last year which added the RLB module through server scripts.
a world of ice and fire is extremely unstable compared to the other mods on your list, its basically unplayable and will crash every chance it gets, other than that its a great mod but i recommend going into it with little expectations so you dont get disappointed, ive wasted hours and hours on it because of how good it is but for nothing because of how unplayable it can be, if you dont mind having to relaunch the game after every large battle( it will crash as soon as you win so youll end up having to order your troops to attack without you to avoid the crash), everytime you look at the ships, and everytime you inspect a city then go ahead and have fun, but if that sounds annoying to you dont bother at all with it. (before anyone says try using warband script extender i have and with that mod it makes little difference, it will still crash in every situation it would if you werent using it and thats from my own personal experience)
@@TerryDuke yes, it doesnt crash until i kill the last person and win the battle though so that doesnt have anything to do with it in my opinion, also the other times it crashes have nothing to do with battles at all, ive played the mod for years and this has always been my experience, but with a mod like perisno for example none of these crashes happen. i actually just downloaded that fallout gun mod you made a video on and i havent crashed at all on that either, its just awoiaf.
@@TerryDuke ive also seen many people on the steam page say the same thing as me over the years, and the mod auther always says its not the mods fault but warbands itself and that wse will fix everything even though it doesnt, i feel you should leave a disclaimer letting people what they are getting into with that mod and leave it for them to decide if they should try it or not because the dev refuses to fix it.
Warband is a game I LOVE, but I definitely need to play in bursts. Finished my Star Wars Conquest playthrough (Took over 2/3rd’s the galaxy,) and then moved on to the Peloponnesian War mod. Idk if it’s because the map was so large, or enemies were so big, but after playing for three days straight irl, just got massive burnout. Could be the mod, or just the gameplay as a whole. Idk.
Haven’t played Warband for 6 month or something like that. I’m trying to fully complete “Kingdom Come: Deliverance” But I’m tired of this game. Scenes from Warband - something that warms my heart
Great video. However I wonder why you don't try out the public test versions of mods? The revenge of the berserk testing version right now adds a whole new skill tree to the game, somethnig that hasn't really been done before. Perisno 1.5 alpha has over 400 new additions since the 1.4.5 release. It's probably the best optimized and polished mod in the world right now. Warsword Conquest big monsters submod adds some insane looking giant units along with tons of other features, on top of the already pretty insane mod.
Because i dont like playing half finished, potentially buggy and subject to change stuff. When i cover a mod, my audience looks it up, so it's better that it's fully released.
No game has given me more value of entertainment for money spent than M&B Warband. The first Warband Mod I used utilizing script extender was Warsword Conquest. Kind of buggy at times but I was floored with how far the game engine was pushed. They even had a magic system in the game.
I notice you take mod recommendations. I've been BINGING your vids and one mod I have yet to see you cover is a bit of an old one. However, for Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" fans, The Gathering Storm is a must-play. A unique magic system, unique map traversal via "The Ways", and new items, characters, and world.
hey Terry, great video man, always heartwarming to see a recent "Mount & Blade" video by you and hope you still try recommendations sir xD on the discussion of Historical Mods for Warband when it comes to Pre-Antiquity Pre-Bronze Age (like 1000BC-500BC) mods there's literally less than 5 of them at all generally, recently I've been searching for one, came to some and all of them are incomplete, but there is one I came across by the name of: "Time of New Chances: The Falcon, The Lion and The Star" which covers the early Mesopotamian tribes and factions in 612BC, came back in 2019 and never got developed further, and it has only 4k Downloads :( which is a shame, it's one of a kind you can tell, and Ironically it's a good one to at least try once! I mean the passion, historical accuracy and immersion (with the exception of Interior of towns and castles :\ ) it's all there! keep up the good work bro, peace
Truth be told I really want to be done with Warband. It's been fun, but I'm only reaching so many people, and there's only so many mods to cover before it gets redundant. Taking a bit of time off at the moment, not sure what I'll do next, but thank you for the kind words!
