One of the most fun things that A New Dawn brings is to the campaign, you have minor factions that can take fiefs and become regular factions, with their own troop tree. Not one campaign feels the same, it is very unpredictable. Wish more mods did this!

You forgot the minor factions in new dawn can end up conquering major factions plus the large bandit groups with the bandit heroes. I'd say that adds to the game as well.
Have you seen Star Wars Conquest: The New Order? It remaies all of the teztures and character models to be higher quality, and improves the force (It has a mod menu of extremely well done force powers, albeit they're in testing so not fully balanced), as well as adding a deflection stat to the lightsaber so it's less useless once someone pulls out a blaster.

Ngl American Civil war or Star Wars is probably the best on the list cause they are made really well, civil war has a huge amount of work put into it to make it as it is now and they have really nailed it also have great optimisation I was able to do easily 1000 battle size on rather low end pc and actual great ai which is probably the best out of all these mods, whereas Rising sun is just like a sub mod to the original gekokujo and uses the same scenes and maps it’s just that new units and uniforms have been added dunno why you had it so high on ranking( maybe cause you took the whole weightage of gekokujo along with it but rising sun is just submod really, whereas American civil war was made from the base and so much better)
I disagree, as I've said, if you've played Shogun 2: Total War, there's also a DLC for it called "Fall of the Samurai", which takes us to the 1800's. So while sure, it's the same culture, the difference in technology and the changes made to the tactics actually makes it so that either one can be played on its own without lacking anything. So really, Rising Sun is a pretty strong mod on its own and does not require knowledge of Gekokujo to enjoy it.
@@TerryDuke I don’t really meant “knowledge” of gekokujo, rising sun is literally nothing without gekokujo, at its best is a sub mod for gekokujo considering the work put into it, its literally just new troops and uniforms and weapons other than that its uses the exact same features of gekokujo, same scenes more than half of the armors are from gekokujo, so I don’t see how a fully developed mod from scratch and literally better in every way is placed below some submod
When you mentioned the dragon and how you wanted to run away, you shoulda added a real dragon attack scene from the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. That would've been more hilarious xD.
Every video I hope I find a new niche mod I’ve never heard of that perfectly fits what I want, but I think I’ve played every single good warband mod by now. I’d switch to Bannerlord but I’m not a big fan of it and some of the features it missed that even warband had in 2011. Here’s to hoping you introduce a new mod to me some day.
Yeah well 64 mods in, I think we've come full circle. At this point it's finding similar mods but with a slight twist, which I'm not too interested in. And bannerlord mods need a lot more work.
#TerryDuke You forgot to mention that in A New Dawn there are many minor "bandit" factions that will become actual factions when they can manage to capture a stronghold. Like Black Khergits, Balion Slavers, Sunrise Crusaders, etc etc... These enemies are VERY dangerous initially. And there are so many different ones I can't even remember them all.
I think it would be funny for you to review the "Touhou Gensokyo Warfare" mod for this game. It's a very ambitious and well made mod with a lot of added features like owning a caravan and a good diplomacy and statebuilding systems, but is undercut by its niche nature as an anime fan game and its lack of polish in certain places: mainly tourneys, balancing, and story and otherwise breaking bugs.

It does but there's many obstacles. The devs keep updating the game, so modders spend lots of time updating the mods.
