- Finally managed to get the dB killer out of this exhaust (it's an absolute pain on these newer bikes), but man does it sound like a beast!
Got a full link pipe as well, to get rid of that cat, so it just sounds 👌🏼 now.

Id really love fo hear a 600 irl again... have seen one the past 3 or 4 months... but man have i seen some low cc bikes and even a couple of mt7... those sounded awesome
@@vali69 mt07 is my fav sounding bike and I plan on getting and building one next season. Currently I ride a 1400 vtwin with drag pipes and it sounds real good too. Idles real low and revs high, and unnecessarily loud lol but wouldn't have it any other way
@@maxt190 i plan on getting my a2 license(yeah im in europe) next season... i could start driving school next spring but im waiting for summer cause i have important exams in may and then i need to take some entry exams at the university i want to attend... and after im done with that whole mess i want to get my license and then try to get an mt7 if my parents are cool enough to lend me some money... the good thing is that theres no college debt in my country... collage is free xD

Is it a full arkra system or is the bread box still on it? If the bread box is still on it sounds good and it's made more of a difference than I would have thought.
I've got a new Z900 with the akra can and curious how it would sound without the db killer but with the bread box still on. Plan on getting akra headers after christmas anyhow.

Does it come with a Db killer as standard? Mine never had one from new. I assumed it was an extra. It’s not that loud but does sound nice popping and rumbling. I didn’t even get the pillion seat, just the plastic one.
Yeah it did have the dB killer in mine. Yeah I've got a seat cowl as well, but take passengers sometimes so I leave the normal one on

Hej, can you tell me if it was a huge difference just with the link pipe the db killer still in. And the difference when you took out the db killer. I am trying to compare if I really need to add the link pipe or not, right now I have the db killer removed on the Akrapovic and it sounds so great. Did you also have the ecu flash or power commander when you added the link pipe.
Definitely a bigger difference when the dB killer was removed than with the link pipe. Although I've noticed a lot of pops and gurgles once the exhaust is warm, I'm assuming the link pipe helped with that

I got zx6r 2019 performance, anyone knows if there is a secondary dbkiller inside the akra? I removed the one on the top but still it's very quite... Yes, I have removed the big cat too but idk :(

I believe 2019 comes stock with quick shifter I know 2021 does
Yes indeed, it's got a quickshifter which allows clutch less upshifts if the engine speed is high enough, or the throttle is open wide enough 😛

Ah man it was an absolute mission!
Take a flashlight and look around your db killer. Some manufacturers actually spot weld the db inside and you might have to break the weld to get it out. Shouldn't do anything bad to your exhaust but some do it to sell in certain countries/states.
They are killing us in the EU with sound restriction. Last year I managed to register without db killer my VFR but this one don't know. Glad I have it and also have original exhaust just in case.

Put an akrapovic on my R1250GS, its grunt and pops are AF.
I have a yoshimura on my Z900 and it's not so loud. I think akrapovic is all about the grunt and pops. If that's what you want, get an akrapovic for sure.

I too have same bike and my mate had to split it open to get at the baffle and then re rivet it back together. Not easy but worth it for the sound difference.

Man im sure the mic doesnt do the bike justice... ive looked at a lot of videos on other bikes like the mt7 with exhaust systems on them but when ive seen one irl with a full akropovic on it, it sounded way way way different... and in a good way... i would really love to hear a zx6 irl but im in a poopy poor country in europe... so not that many new bikes out there... well im also not in a big city so yeah... frick my life
would love to buy this. Was debating between this and the 2020 Street Triple RS. Eventually I decided to buy the Triumph when it comes to my dealer next year. It's just more comfortable. Love this bike though!

What was the cost of the exhaust and getting the dB killer off? I mean obviously exhaust price depends on the bike etc but id like to take my dB killer off and can’t find the price
Haven't heard of a db killer removal service, usually it's just unscrew a few bolts and then just pull it out of the exhaust yourself.

Nope not on these new Euro 4 exhausts, can't even get to the bloody bolt, and when you can it's got a spot weld on it to stop it being unscrewed!

@@picollos12 some bikes you need a c clip pliers or least some way to compress and pull out a c clip. As Dan mentioned about others with a spot weld. You just have to break the weld to get it out.

Hmm, you could get an older R6, they're a bit cheaper. Maybe an older 636. And I'd recommend RJH Motorbike, did all my training with them, top guys 👌🏼

It is but its basically never enforced, unless your drawing attention too yourself like rev bombing in front of a cop.
Technically is illegal but not really enforced. If you have to get your bike emission inspected, the real downside is failing the inspection or if a cop wants to be a real prick about it.
The catalytic converter is not removed. It's at the end of the header pipe in this 6r.this setup just replaces the expansion chamber and end muffler.

Bro really I didn't here nothing bring it to the red your quickshifter change the gear to early and for me this is not a nice sound for bike ... prefer all of you to check SuperBike Racer he have some videos with his Yamaha R6 I am suzuki fan but gosh his Yamaha have the best sound I ever here in bikes and they a look how he change gears with shifter : )

Honestly It doesn't even sound that great especially since the DB killer is out ,it just sounds muffled. These massive akras are a poor choice for the newer bikes. Everyone has their own preference, but personally I would be upset if I payed that much for this exhaust and it sounded like this.
They aren't poor choices but he has the CARB/EPA Akrapovic on his bike. The same one you would find as a factory option so it is still restrictive.

Camera doesn't really do it justice at all, in real life I'm really happy with the sound :)
