Greetings from Ireland Mike!!! I cant stop binge watching your channel since I've hit it by accident a couple of days ago and since the whole family was struck by COVID, well, I've plenty of time to watch the channel and working on our RC converted Bruder cabovers with my boys (cant get a Peterbilt in Ireland :-D ) One thing I really need to get out there: This must be the paramount of a personal channel, a man with a passion for his hobby sharing his "adventures" !!! And as a long time restoration, DIY and cabover fan I'm in the right place!!!! Keep doing what you're doing Mike!!! Regards!!!
Thanks, hope you guys are doing okay.
Mike, another great video and great progress on both trucks. The slow heavy work on Kenny is compensated by the easier fixes on Low and Slow. Keeps your enthusiasm for both projects. Mike from Lancashire 🇬🇧
It is great that your dad helps you spend as much as time you can with him and enjoy it it reminds me of my dad when he would help me with things on the truck and stuff unfortunately I lost my dad in November but you know just very hard to keep going but I was just miss him very much but man you know he reminds me a lot of my dad
One might get the impression that red is your favorite color.
Looking good.
Love the 64. Glad it’s a good investment for you
Very cool video. Glad to see u giving Kenny some attention again. Keep up the good work.
Struggled removing compressor and pumps till I bought snap on pump wrenches now they just set in my box . Old 855’s and PT pumps are antique
There's nothing wrong with buying nice things that's called living you've learned every bit of what you've git of what you've got like a lot of us that makes us a New York and and you can't roll anybody for that so so put out right content keep it up God-bless you God-bless your family
"*Groan*... Old man noise." - I sure can relate to that, Mike!
Thanks for showing us the little red corvette !!!!!
Hello Dad, it’s your son Denny. I know I’m your son because I love cab overs, corvettes and working on them. When me, you and grandpa get together and work on vehicles it would be 3 generations. Can I have my room back? After I prove myself then maybe we can talk about your will?
Just funning with you enjoy every minute with your dad. That time is precious.
Lol, do you mow lawns without whining? Might be a deal to he had.
@@mikethetrucknut not a problem, as long as it's a motor mower or better yet ride on lol. Prince is a beautiful car don't get very many corvettes in nz
I had a 1965 L78 Corvette when I was 18 years old in high school. Wish I had it today. Your a lucky man Mike.
Ohhh... that orange Vet... That is one of my dream cars.. if not my ultimate C2 body dream car... give me a 67 c2 with either a 427 or an LS comparable with a turbo [restomod deal]... anyway... glad you're showing Kenny some love Mike. Us Canadians love our cars and trucks as much as anybody :-)) Och Aye!!
It's red, pictures don't even do it justice.
The cars are cool you work hard your entitled to have nice things good for you. You also have a very cool dad he's an amazing guy still getting stuck in with the renches (Spanners in England lol ) he's got a great out look on life too. The lights on Low and Slow are cool too. It's cool your getting stuck into Kenny now hope it all goes well and you end up with a really nice truck at the end of it. 👍
I was chuckling at the off camera groans . They were the sounds of a underestimated weight of the parts lol
Did you ever notice when our Dads come over to help us that no matter how old we are we end up helping them. Hope that never changes. By the way nice lights.
I had the exact same thought during the last video replacing the brake pots on Low n Slow. Its the same when my dad comes over to help me. And I'm sure it'll be the same in about 30 or 40 years when I go over to my sons' houses to help them. No matter how old you are, you'll always be their son.
That lift set up is incredible heck yea such an awesome garage 1 day i have a nice garage but for now i keep watching you and learning gathering ideas and knowledge
Love the lights
Hi Mike. Low & Slow looks great but if I were you I would change the roof markers to LED lights. They are brighter and last longer. 👍
Man, that Vette is gorgeous!!!!!!!
Watching this vlog reminded me of the days when I was able to work alongside my Dad in the garage... of course, that was 55 years ago and times were different. He's been gone for nearly 20 years now, but as he reminded me at age 95... memories are important and you are making memories that will be with you for the rest of your life! Sometimes it is hard to tell who is speaking... you even sound alike! LOL Blessings!
I learned to drive a stick on a 327, 365 horse '65 corvette convertible. Marina blue with white interior & white convertible top. It was my buddy's car, & he said if your going in the service, you need to know how to drive a stick.
That's awesome 👍
Great video Mike both trucks are coming along nicely. Love your corvettes too stay safe.
I´m agree, those new marker lights and underbody glow lights looks cool in the dark. Headlights bezels fits very nice too.
Awesome vett. I love old cars My dad and I have a 65 Chevy Corvair Corsa.
Like the red vette hope you get Kinney an low an slow good luck buddy
There is only one tdc on that pulley on the accessory drive, as the cam turns 1 time while the crank turn 2 times. I take the acc drive nut off an the key way should beat 12 o clock, then you can see the timing marks through the front over plug. If acc drive is removed there are marks on the back of the cam gear, you can also see he plug in the front cover . It’s easier to take the accessory drive off with the compressor and fuel pump. You only need a 5/8 swivel socket and long extension, 3/8 drive you need to take the acc drive off to get the cam follower-off. Give the cpl and engine SN to your parts dept and they can give you the proper gasket for timing the engine. Good luck my friend.
Nice addition of lights on low and slow.
Love the channel. Love following the progress on both. I love cabovers too. Had a 1989 KW100
Hey mike from Indiana here Great channel . love the toys
Love the headlights/turn signal. Good work on Kenworth. If it was easy, everyone would be doin it.
Very beautiful cars. Hard work will always pay off
Those headlights on slow & low look slick and not too OTT with built-in marker led`s, they even compliment the round side light when in indicator mode.
cheers from Yorkshire.
You can mount the carlift lights with silicone its flexible so if you bump into the light strip it will absorb it and not likely falloff easy.... When we added lights to our carlifts we used motion sensors to it so its off when noone is around then on when your under it working on the vehicle
Awesome Vette 👌.
hi mike put brand new windscreen rubbers with the new windows, did this on my k100 and no leaks or moving windows trying to fall out
You bet I ordered them should be in soon
Nice video Mike, wow you have some nice motors (trucks and cars!!) Love it. Cant wait for the next video :-) Greetings from Leicester UK.
You have some nice vehicles the corvette is sweet! the color of the tin on the building is that orange !and hello from Winnipeg 🇨🇦
It's bright red. ,
Never feel bad for showing what you have worked hard to own and enjoy. In America now we are told we are privledged and didn't work hard for what we have.
I passed a guy trailing a wht 63 on I.20 east bound thru SC..I saw him pulling over into rest area and I followed..just picked it up from a estate sale..beautiful daily driver..not numbers matching but period correct same motor exchange...ask him how much I needed to write the check for...80k woulda bought it then/there...a 63 will be my first vehicle purchase when I hit that Powerball....lol...
Can't wait till you get Kenny back on the road that's a good semi
You always can use clear silicone to put a cheap seal on to your windshield comes in sometimes you got to look outside the bubble to create a solution
It's cool Mike.👍🏻
Low and slow is getting more awesome by the day. Kenny will be too once you get the engine and other essentials functioning properly.
Exactly how to do it good job always looking RUclips solutions always around the corner
Mike if your truck is going to sit outside it's got to be water tight, or it just works out to be a ongoing case of damage control. One light switch operates one set of lights, please don't piggy back.
The off set timing key is on the cam drive gear ...this will only need to be changed if you change horsepower or cam is rooted . You can bodge more/less horsepower with fuel pump but to turn say a 350 into a 400 the cam is the same but timed differently. Cam gets stuffed by Jake brake shifting and short hits on the jakes .
Marker lights look great
I’m sure someone could 3-D print new reflector housings or make one’s with clear or orange lenses and add some led boards for the Pete.
Nice work Mike
Looks awesome 👍
Man that sounded heavy when you pulled that compressor.
Dad is the best, same conversation type as my dad and me!
Kenny is going to run again now you have that big part remove might want to think about replacing it or rebuild it and put on all new gasket and stuff so you have no problem with that part love the lights on low and slow
That's a nice toy room
They say Now l don't know if this is true or Not but they say that Red is a favorite color for Wemen DAMN Brother you really like the color RED. Awesome video as always
I use it to attract the ladies 😏
@@mikethetrucknut Hell YEAH Brother and it Works awesome comeback.
Good afternoon Mike. Man you got alot of toys😎😎😎
Your lights are very cool.
🙏🏻😁 Your Very Special, BLESSED 🇦🇨🇦🇮🇨🇦 GOD🙏🏻 BLESS YOU, PRAYERS, BLESSINGS
Another great video! Love the content & the Vettes!
Cool video Mike, love the content. From Devon UK.
Nice Corvette.
The 1964 Corvette StingRay coupe is perfect, especially with the whitewall tires and the Kelsey Hayes knockoff wheels. What's with the vents on the B pillars?
One of the previous owner put chrome ones in years ago. I have the original painted ones still.
@@mikethetrucknut The C2 was the sharpest Corvette StingRay made. The painted ones look the best. Please don't stretch the frame on Kenny. Any PACCAR product is the best trucks on the road.
The accessory drive pullery shafts have a habit of snapping off...!!Fan and water pump belts just fall off as pulley just sits on the chassis rail .There is a plug you can remove and you will see centre pop marks in gears when on TDC No 1 . These need to go back in place or the next poor bugger doing a valve set will put engine to TDC 1 but engine will actually be in a different position .
This “cover” is actually the cam follower pivot shaft . You will need a timing tool and multiple gaskets to get timing correct . Cam is “timed” with an off set key and fine adjustment is done with gaskets . The gaskets are different thickness .You 100% need a Cummins timing tool ...it has a dial indicator on the piston and another dial indicator on the lifter . A ruff “fix” is measure the thickness of existing gaskets and repeat with new gaskets ...it’s a “side of the road “ fix .
I thought my kids were the only ones to leave half drunk water bottles around the house!
Torpedo lights are my fav
Hi mike from west Alabama al USA
Nice 👍👍👍👍
I can tell what your favorite color is .
But my experience with red is I get more tickets and warnings
White got me my last excessive speeding ticket 🤔😂
Wish has some side marker light things that are just the cover and base no light or wires could easily be put on as just reflectors and rather cheap
"Blow Goats!???" lmao Also needs some lights on the bottom front of Low & Slow
Yes! 😎👌
Nice lookin lights on the pete
Mike, I think you need to stop working on Low and Slow plus Kenny and build a purpose built truck workshop next door to the one you have. Then have a workshop for cars and one for the trucks. Man cave 2! Nice work on Kenny. Be interested seeing whats behind the cam covers and on the one that had no rods.
Instead of pushing Kenny back with all the clearing, why not just move him forward slightly to miss the lights? It will only need a couple of feet.
Fsc trucking has an 84 and his front marker lights work
It may just be me. But I would have the 64 Corvette up on the Bendpack lift and put the Volkswagen on the ground.
Yeah, It lives there in the winter but in the summer I like to have it easily accessible if there's a nice evening for a cruise.
@@mikethetrucknut That makes sence.
Beautiful c2
Are you really sure about under glow. Can see any leaks. At least it's not a 2 stroke Detroit.
Great corvettes. Red one is a classic beauty.
Boa tarde muito top serviço caminhão meu amigo
Hi Mike, you mentioned the reflectors on low and slow, if you can't find any replacements keep in mind a lot of wood turners use epoxy resin to make pen blanks they also make silicon molds one of them and probably make you a replacement reflector, I watched a video of a guy reperducing the old Style bullet lens but I don't remember who that was, if your steering wheels have those gaps in them they might be able to repair them as well.
Larry LCWOODWORKS
Oh wow, thanks Larry that would be cool
I would have pushed Kenny Back into the corner more and put slow and go in front of him nice looking cars
Something tells me this guys secretly like eating balloon knots.
Why did you state the distance in km for princess ? That's like a totally foreign system.
I love the size of your garage workshop You're very lucky to have it.
Btw. Kenny's No.1
I need to get better at converting to mph. It's 12,500 miles.
Reflectors custom made NWSO Medford OREGON , US
Ohh...
Hey Mike❤️🙏🏻😎👍🏻 GOD 🙏🏻 BLESS YOU
I think it’s cool as well👍🏻
Do not let them drive the trucks or the rv or thing that you own they will tear it up and then you have to fix it or replace it
What's up
Mike likes red toys! lol
WAY COOL
Hi
Love the Vette…pretty rare 327 / 365! What’s the story with the Golf? I know you said it was a TDI. Did you have it when Dieselgate happened? We had a 13 Highline Golf diesel 6mt at the time. Absolutely loved the car but as VW was going to buy it back for the same money we paid 5 years earlier we traded it for an 18 Golf Alltrack. Missed the 60 mpg! I’m down in North Vancouver.
Yes it was a diesel gate car. We has a Passat as well at the time. Gave back the Passat bec just like you the money they paid was to good to pass up. They paid us $6000 to keep the golf so we kept it for my daughter to use when she starts university. That Passat was incredible on fuel, sad that the world killed those cars.
Would have taken the front tire off for easier access...
Do better call your DAD to put back on. Lolol. I'm dad not works car . But owner operated and he hadn't like when put truck in driveway it a air starter 🤔.
My vet needs to go to a Corvette specialist why I asked the dealership but kept the transmitters when I bought the car 24-hour access why is that
Vhf radio? Sure it's not uhf?
Kenny needs a little stretching
Do not let your kids drive your cars get them something that if the wreck it is cheaper to fix then those corvettes
R you going to put sound deader on low n slow roof?
Yes, I bought some killmatt
I think you need a new shed
Lol yeah
if you ever considered patreon, do not think it will be look upon favorable after seeing your toys..anyways..good for you..
What is patron?
