I think the paint on DK cleaned up the best of them all. Be lucky Pop is around to bounce stuff off!!! He's a treasure.
Wished I had a father that was helpful like yours. I could have learned so much when i was young. My grandfather helped me alot, when we were together. I wished I go back in time and spend more time with my Grandpa.
I could sit and watch you and you dad all day Mike!
You should try to find a removable gooseneck trailer like Steve from FSC has. He’s moving Striker fire trucks with his. Just a thought. Like what your doing here.
19:23 Good one Mr. Chamberlin!
Good to see Duke in the shop. Hoping that the engine can be saved. Great story and content, keep up the entertaining vids.👍
Thanks for our dads so much to learn from them I hope the block is good to go great watch Mr. 👍👋🇨🇦
I just wanted to say Peterbuilt mike you are one fun guy to watch you're very interesting they're very positive and I love the stuff that you do keep rocking and keep trucking you're the bomb to watch never stop
Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤️
Good evening, I really like this one the best, I drove cab over 10 years ago. Steve from N.B Canada
Personally I'd like to see you keep the roll over rack. Gives the truck a serious look and differentiates it from other trucks on the road.
So I imagine you probably know by now but if not,... That is an old BJ/Hughes "Work Truck" (Meaning it was an all purpose tractor). For a while they were EVERYWHERE here in Oklahoma! They were bought out by Shlumberger then they sold off just about All those tractors. It Probably had a Hydraulic Winch where that Job Box is now. Hence all the Hydraulic Accessories. For an Oil Field Truck it's in awesome Shape. Probably not used for very long on jobs or the driver took care of his equiptment. You are close to right in meaning the hours on it are more important than the Miles/KMs And that is probably why the engine came apart, Lots of High Idling on Job Sites. Well Good Luck with repairing it.
Awesome to see all the trucks back👍 It would be good to see a video where you explain your plans for each project. As you have a few of them now🤣
Yes I think that's going to happen this weekend maybe🤔
@@mikethetrucknut has explained his plans for each truck over many of the videos, but it would be good to have it all in one video. Plans change, when parts are available. Another trip to the wreckers with a shopping list will be a great watch. Mike from Lancashire 🇬🇧
Mikey....it's dee-cals I have told you already LOL...love from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Now that you have plenty of trucks. It would be awesome to see you put most of them back on the road. Love your content and your a great man saving good rigs. Keep up the great work!
Duke looking good
Nice Vettes too!!
You have the perfect parts truck..or cab swap for your aerodyne keep it up.
Like and love your video’s. And also dad your dad is also.
Duke Kerboom:- rebuild the engine, tidy it up and get a low loader for taking the cab overs to shows using 'The Duke.' IF you are using Low and Slow to pick more up what about having a run off ramp built that you back low and slow against with it ramps making a shallower ramp.
I'm up early and switch on at 4.00am (New Zealand )time and I see poor old (k2 )still sitting on the side there and the Duke and Kenny and smokey and Stubbs get all the attention .
Yeah, I need the engine for K2
@2.28 mins I see the Dukes wearing the right stickers ! Your dad made that unload look easy.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. But I really like your dad’s comments he definitely calls it as he sees it. I myself think it either dropped a valve and the piston disintegrated locking it up. Or the cam came unglued and the valve train locked up and the bull gears upfront locked up. Either way if there’s no holes in the block she maybe salvageable. Be an interesting watch!
Glad to see it in the shop maybe you can swap that rack on back for parts for it or sell the rack. Looks like you got so many projects you could make content for a while. It would be fun to see another video about the salvage yard you talked about getting an engine for K2. Have great day.
I love you Dad he is the coolest
Horse shoes he says lol. Get show Mike glad you got Duke Kaboom home safe. See ya.
Hay Mike. Since you work at a peterbilt dealer run the vin to make sure the truck will hold a c15. Pete made some trucks c13 specific
You talked about experience, well you can’t buy Mike and your dads got buckets of it 👍
Nov 2019...looks like a good month
That's a good one Dad lol
Great seeing you Dad in the videos. It proves that Trucking is a Genetic Disease with NO CURE
Really looking forward to see what happened inside that engine…
best of luck to you
Great video Mike glad to see Duke unloaded and cleaned up. Looking forward to finding out what happened with the engine stay safe.
Mike fingers crossed. And if Dads right you owe him big time . Keep Options open. As always stay safe George Whelan from the UK 🇬🇧
Watched your channel pretty much from the start. Loving the content!
Greetings From The UK - your dad rocks
With fuel costs going up and prolly never coming down, I'd be looking at whatever you can do make it slippery. No outside air cleaner - it's just drag. Low front bumper with bottom rubber skirt. Rubber skirts under tanks, etc. Make it stealth aero. Rebuild that engine in frame. Run taller gears if you can find them ...
That white peterbilt looks awesome
Landdow trlr. Is the way to go . we all love you mike . But Dads a Gas . Working with Dad is the best part of your videos . Yes cabovers are nice . peaterbulit Mike. Is wonderfull videos ( peaterbulit Dad is Grate) ...
Looking forward to this one!
It will be interesting what you find when you get her apart and see what you need to get her all buttoned up and back runnin again...
Can’t wait to see the progress on this one
Hope you can save that engine. Sure would make it a lot easier for you. I hope when the engine blew you took the truck out of gear quickly, so as to save the rest of the power train. Seeing that the rear wheels turned when you moved the Duke, the rear diffs may still be ok. I would sand and paint the front bumper blue. Something you could do quickly, after cleaning out the rest of The Duke. Do you have a steam cleaner? You could use it to try and clean the seats and the mattresses. Just a thought. Your Dad is great. You're very fortunate to have him there to help. Can't wait to see more videos from you. Keep on truckin.
looks as you and your dad has a great relation 🥰 take care both of you.
Mike low n slo is a work horse now.
Hey Mike the Duke would be the truck to pull the drop deck trailer to do all your general trucking picking up projects taking trucks to shows ,I'm sure Andrea would prefer going places in the dukelets face it bonnet trucks are so much better ride and easy to get into ,nice to see your Dad in the picture I liked horse shoes up your but what a nice way to put it ah see your Dad just had the same idea the Duke pulling the new drop deck .looking forward to pulling the Duke engine down some of your best work I felt was when you were doing Kenny,s engine
Anyhow mate good breakfast viewing
Cheers Kym
Adelaide
The condition of that interior is incredible!!
And it hasn't even been cleaned yet 👌
Was at the Pete dealer in ar last week and a guy came in to get some small parts for his Pete which was an ex frac truck that was an exact mate to yours, even factory paint less rack on back of cab.
Gday Mile Dukes a great looking truck and I look forward to you and Dad trying to find out what happened to the engine . I hope its only a dropped valve . Have you thought about what your going to do to Smokeys cab , you could put a layer of fibreglass on the inside first to strengthen it then fix the outside , good luck to you and family inc Dad cheers Aussie Pete
Nice work mike.
🤞🤞🤞cmon dropped valve
This is where we're probably gonna have to get a little bit hillbilly actually I know the super duty up here I can use a super duty battery am I just gonna let it run for a bit starting
Love your opening music sounds like the Allman Brothers, Dad must think you lost your mind with these trucks. Take the head off and see if you can turn the motor over. You need a crane, those heads are HEAVY, rig something up with your loader.
We drove these trucks in the oilfield I would put a low boy trailer on it and haul your semis that you buy
I like that idea
Check your coolant levels, blowing a hole in a liner would drop the coolant levels, and should show if its leaking into the pan.
Thanks Mike for another great video dont forget k2 thanks again
Heck no, I might have found an engine for it.
Gitter done
Sell all that equipment on the back reinvest into the motor. Have your dad there when you tear into the motor.
Yes buy a drop deck ASAP
Hey Mike. Stubby hasn't been mentioned in a while. Are you going to work on him soon ?
Hi Mike looks great nice tkseetoor daft algo
Buy u a loyboy trailer they are way easy to use
Your dad's a dead set character 😂
I have to say even though dukaboom is not running he is the best truck that you have that is a good looking truck and if you get it running you'll have something you have something to drive nice
Yes I agree, there is so much potential here with him. Now all I need is a C15 and chrome lots and lots of chrome
Ant Mike the truckthenut peterbuiltmike that is it peterbuilt kwwva😂
I hope you leave Miss November 19 in there 😂
The wife ripped her out pretty quick when she was looking in there.
Check out Dane Scott's RUclips channel/ video..he's got his 74 Cabover Pete up for sale
Hello Mike. here is the same suggestion for you as for James Pretty. Can you have a to-do/progress made full height flip chart for each truck so we RUclipsrs can see at a glance the progress (or lack thereof) for each truck at the start of an episode?
That's actually a really neat idea 💡
That thing looks like it was a winch truck at one time.
Must have been a bit hard on that little John Deere, pushing the Duke into the garage.
Have you fixed the other ones?
Personaly, I think you have enouph projects now, unless you intend on flipping them. Your almost 50, you maybe have 8 years of hard labor left before your rear end falls out. I remember turning 47 and I sprang my whole upper chest. It happens.
Time to retire or your never going to live long enough to finish all these trucks lol. Would be cool to move the cab back and put a 379 extended hood on it 👍
Sounds good to me 😁👍
Hey Mike, what happened to your Pressure Washer, or you must like scrubbing labor, Hoo Hah, he's gonna be a downright guud lookin' truck!
Duke you could put to work fast if you could get that motor fixed. Smokey and Kenny gotta come ahead of K2 now eh? Stubby and low and slow are pretty complete in many ways. K2 last on the priority list right [a pete project deserving more time and space.... like the new shop]? K2's frame... n'ya... going to need a new clip off of a rolled truck or something. Is it way stupid expinsive to order a couple of new frame rails from Pete or can you order a couple from a steel yard... or find one that sells steel by the pound that may have some in their yard eating up space [try Canada Steel in Hamilton if they still exist] :-))
Is that truck new enough that it has low oil protection that if it gets so low that the computer puts the engine in protection mode by shutting it down?
Mike when you take the rack off you should put a bigger sleeper on it for the wife
Give your Dad Duke CaaBoom
Don't you think a telescopic handler would be the best for your terrain? It's multifunctional.🤔
Put me on build up a crank case pressure force the dipstick out
I will be so sad to the sleeper go.
Why would one use the jake if not pulling a load?🤔😁
How many semi do you need
hope engine good on Duke just stripped the engine down Mike to see what wrong?
Why look into the motor issue , when you can wash it and slather it in bolt on chome ?
🚬🐕
Could someone explain to me why he buys all this junk and dosnt do anything maybe going to start a junkyard.
you need a truck with a crane :P
Yes!
Can you please upgrade Duke, lowen slow, Kenny, stubby, k2, smokey.?
Yes!
Like very your vidio a m Luiz Brasil ok bye
I wish I was your neighbour
Trying to find a hole.... Is this like the boy who is on his first date since he left the "Farm"... farm boys do what farm boys do, the rest lie about it. It got me laughing anyway.... the highway didn't have a valdez oil spill and even tho she lost power, no mention of the oil pressure before she just quit performing like a real trooper. I know I got excited when I had a Detroit go... it was a problem with a blower breaking a quill shaft, it powered down right quick and I tried to find a lower hole in the transmission but she quit and we rolled to the side looking like a damn dumb kid..(I was) I was seventeen, just before I was drafted and it was a 6V53...1950's model, my very first big rig, funny that I don't know/remember just what it was exactly cept it was a KW with door handles I could barely reach, that truck had been beat on so hard that the dealer who took it off of the back lot to sell to me got premium money, all I had saved to get it.... a whole fourteen thousand an five hundred american dollars... I had cut and delivered firewood for almost three years. I did have my home paid for... I call it a home as it was a two bedroom with a huge pantry, five acres of old growth fir trees on a place that was just a little over five acres... It was nestled into the trees and had a lean too that was my grand garage.. I was styling at fifteen, emancipated and had a kid by a cheating wife... I didn't know about the cheating till I got back from my vacation in southeast asia. She sold my just got back running old truck, a few of my cars I had collected which included a thirty seven ford truck that had been a farmers pride, it was one pretty farm truck with a stake bed... a whole one ton rating that a todays F350 was almost two of ... the thing was, that truck was low miles, not one dent or scratch in that truck, twin pipes (by me) a green and black fenders, shinny black wheels and would haul a whole cord and one half on it... a really big truck compared to the fifty six ford F3 (3/4 ton) that is less than a todays half ton but it did run good. One thing I could thank my dad who had nearly killed me beating on me worse than a rented mule. I had turned wrenches in his shop since I got there, just before my ninth birthday, lost and wondering what I did to piss him off. Told me I was too old to start school an too stupid to learn how to read or write, he did teach me math as I did collect money he was owed from selling lumber I also delivered. I was in the drivers seat at ten...two or three cars might be on the same road in a days time. You need to take your son out in a tractor, and have him drive it till the wheels near fall off learning how to go forwards an back around barrels if nothing else. I just know if he misses a couple dates with his hot chick, he will lear quick enough. Good luck on that engine as its going to be "fine"... define "fine"... its where the pocket book and the rig are still in one piece after repairs and youtube gratuities get to going good, a damn good tee shirt with a pocket on its front and some cartoons on it or maybe its time to start the "wife beater" (sleeveless) and mickey mouse lifting a KW up from the front bumper with your logo on its front and golds gym on the back... just a thought
What about less talk and
More work
Hey Peterbuilt Mike I was wondering. What ever happened to your first Peterbuilt conventional truck you bought? One you started driving home and it quite working on you
This is the one
😆 I didn't recognize it without all of the snow on it. Keep up the good work I love watching your videos
