Warped in from the Enterprise, whos with me. Great song, love it.
First time I have ever found a great new song by watching Star Trek. Played over the ending of the season one finale of Strange New Worlds. Wow! Absolutely beautiful and totally unique. What a voice!
If not for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, I'd have never Shazamed this song and added to my playlist of favorites. I love this song! Thank you Melissa Carper for sharing your gifts!
I heard this today on Star Trek and was instantly hooked and wanted to hear the whole thing, it's beautifully written and performed by you guys, thanks for the wonderful song
It is wonderful, and it fit so beautifully into that episode. 🖖
I would have bet so much money it was a song from the 30s or 40s.
Same here. Heard it today when watching Star Trek and was intrigued by it.
@@SG1Mitchell Same here, tbh it reminded me of the Fallout 4 soundtrack a bit
Yup. Same here. LOL
Captain Pike sent me here... and now this memory is burnt into my engrams! Wonderful song!!
Just heard it on Season finale of Star Trek: strange new worlds. Honestly I was expecting a Black lady from the 50s or 60s. 😂😂😂. So much soul. Definitely one of my favorite discoveries of 2022
Here because of Strange New Worlds. Excellent song.
My daughter told about this song. I thought it was Billy Holiday. Now it's in head all day long.❤
When I heard this on Star Trek: Strange New World, I thought it was a track from the 40's. What a wonderful surprise to see it's recent. I'm going to be 71 this year, and have been slowly not remembering some small things, which is very annoying, so this song connects with me. I just love it and would like to add it to my music list. PS: I love the sheet music on the piano.
I’m so grateful for Star Trek Strange New Worlds for introducing me to this incredible artist/song. Such a perfect simplicity. No need to over produce…. Classy, charming, beautiful. Thank you!
It doesn’t get any better than this. Melissa plays with some really great musicians!
Live long and prosper!
76 and I think i'm in love
Well, me too. Also had two great friends named Larry & Steve, brothers. We did make some memories from the early 70's. Lasting ones!

Absolutely beautiful Melissa. Especially for a guy like me going into early onset dementia. I used to see the Carper family here in Austin when you all had my friend Cindy Cashdollar play with you at the Driskill. Your voice is so beautiful.

Heard this in the car on KCRW the other day and had to look it up. Loved it. A memory I had to keep. Thank you.
Love this song and the new record. If this was the 1990's, Daddy's Country Gold would be the CD that doesn't leave my CD player right now. Can't wait for my vinyl to arrive and for LIVE shows!
Stunning!!! 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
Impossible to forget. What a talent. Love her.
Thank you, it was great.
I love this song. It’s a simple, gentle, loving nudge to enjoy my life.
It also inspires me to not be so serious when I’m creating my own music. Thank you
What a great discovery!
What a nice uplifting song
I love everything about this song. Beautifully written and performed music, and the vocals are on a par with Willie.
I too just discovered this on Star Trek too!!
I heard this song on Star Trek.... thinking it was from some artists of the 1940's or so. Looked it up and was surprised. Love it and added to my playlist.
They say that memorizing lyrics to songs and poetry (difficult to do as we get older) is very good for the brain; it's the stuff that keeps us young :) Lovely voice, lovely music!
Timeless tune. Should be much better known than it is.
Star Trek sent me here. Plus one point to a wonderful serie that was already so good. Tema y voz increíbles
A soulful joy to listen to. Melissa's voice is hauntingly beautiful! Just a gorgeous sound! Thank you Captain Pike. Live long and prosper! 🖖
this woman's voice is older than her grandparents.
strong native genes shine through her face, as well.
You got that right!
Melissa this is just so beautiful! I can’t wait for the album!!!
Hahaha star trek! Same here! Unbelievable what an artist! ❤️
I just saw Melissa and Brennen at the Old Settlers Fest in TX. They were both so amazing. I've got them saved in my Spotify library now. Big fan here!
Star Trek Strange New Worlds sent me here completely gobsmacked! Reminds me of those old 1920s/30s born-to-lose country blues. MC, you have a new fan!! Buying albums from bandcamp now...
Beautiful.
Great, just GREAT.
Superb!!!!! Thank you
Tasty musicianship. Great song and voice.😊
Wonderfull
digging this vibe
this is dope. i love when melissa is the lead singer.
This song is as quintessential as Melancholy baby as originally sung by Al Bowley.. So perfect and classic in style, yet so new.. The lyrics immortal in context and the timbre of your voice ringing back into the 20's and all the way back to now.. Keep singing Sister.. You have the voice of the angels of olde.. You brought my Grandmother's spirit by to dance with me... Thank you so much... I have added this to my permanent records, and added you as well.. I just love the older souls.. especially ones with so much grace inside.. Namaste.. *Bows with deepest gratitude*... Do call me Sun.. Dearest Melissa and crew... G&GB.. Please keep singing and playing all of your days.
It also evokes memories here in Denmark ...... nice job :-)
