Whats the biggest difference between this and the lofree flow except the price. Bc i love both but what makes the lofree 35$ more expensive and worth it? Thats what im trying to find out
This one is better than the lofree. Cheaper, better build quality, better connectivity (the flow doesn't have a dongle), VIA software support for macros. Go lofree if you want a 75% layout instead of 65% or if you need something ligther (around 650g for the flow and 950 for the magi 650)
Well said - I think that’s a fair summary. The only other consideration is that if you’re going to get one of the Shadow Series switches, the LoFree Flow comes with one, but you’d have to add that expense to the Magi65 - That said, if you like linear switches, I think the Gold Reds that come with the Magi65 are very nice 👍🏻
huge fan of Iqunix. Got the EZ60 with Jade Pros for playing rhythm games originally to replace my drunkdeer keyboard and I loved it so much that I started using it as my main keyboard too instead of my boyfriend's old Leopold. I bring a Keychron K8C2 to the office for work and I've been so tempted to go Iqunix again to replace the Keychron.
Thanks for the review! It seems like the best low profile prebuilt on the market. Does it support flashing custom QMK firmware? Or is VIA just for key remapping? Any experience lubing these low-profile switches?
@Blacksadify Thanks. I just ordered one. I've never been satisfied with factory lube jobs - wonder how feasible it would be to lube low-profile switches. I don't like silent switches - they're always too mushy because of the dampening materials.
it looks and sounds lovely genuinely don't think I could get accustomed to the profile though, not sure. I've been using topre for the last.. oh god. already a decade now lol
I’m always surprised at just how much sickly I adapt to the different profiles when I force myself to use them… usually within two weeks they feel as natural as the one I last used ✌🏻
Hey! Are these keycaps hot swappable? I’m new to mechanical keyboards and want to buy this keyboard, but curious if this type of low profile keycap could be swapped for a different color set / how to tell which are compatible. Thanks!
Good question - yes the case colour of any switch will impact the appearance of the RGB, but primarily in terms of Hue not brightness. So as long as you have all the same switch in the keyboard you’re unlikely to notice it. The only times I’ve ever really noticed this is with other keyboards where I was mixing and matching switches during testing.
A keyboard's "polling rate" refers to how often it sends information about key presses to the computer, essentially determining how frequently it checks for new inputs, while "latency" is the delay between the moment a key is pressed and when the computer registers that input.
I haven’t tried the K7, but I have the Air60HE and the Air 75V2. Both are nice keyboards, but I think the Magi65 is a step ahead in terms of build quality…
If you can get your hands on them somewhere, Kailh used to make a Wizard clicky switch that was from the same Phantom lineup. I’ve never tried it, but if it’s like the others, I would expect to like it 👍🏻
I am about to receive this keyboard. And I am planning to potentially lube the switches and stabilizers. I love THOCK sounds, what switches would you recommend for the best THOCK and where can I get them. Thank you for your video it was really well done!
I have 3 different Iqunix keyboards, 2 Akko and 3 Keychron. All of them have problem with WiFi and BT connections, both on PC and Mac. Iqunix all 3 keyboards, has problem with "dead" switch after 6 month of use. So long term reliability is very poor for keyboards over 150 EUR. Cant recommend any of them.
I’m looking for a new keyboard. Im not super into keyboards like some people, but I do love the designs of some. Going to go with one of the low profile ones again. I have what I believe is the original keychron k1, and it has no less than 40% of the keys that have issues with recognizing key presses at this point. I literally cannot type anything longer than a sentence or two because it’s so frustrating (on a tablet now). I’ve taken it apart and cleaned it multiple times, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. I’ve used it for 6 years, but it’s still frustrating to have happen. And it started probably a year or two after buying it. I might just go with this one from Iqunix.
@@zatozatoichi7920 I honestly agree with you on this one not being as subdued as I’d like. It’s my one hesitation on this. But if you change the keycaps and possibly paint the orange multimedia button, I think it’d be okay. The only other decent low profile board I’ve seen that I like the design of is the Lofree Flow. But the magi65 is cheaper and seems to generally be rated better by people who’ve used both.

These magi keyboards are aluminum, which makes them more robust while on the go.

Awesome - thanks for sharing! I’m playing with the EZ63 right now for a future review. I’d love to know what specifically you like about the EZ60 👍🏻

Any experience lubing these low-profile switches?
The switches are pre-lubed, but I'd suggest grabbing some Kailh Silent Low-Profile ones.
@Blacksadify Thanks. I just ordered one. I've never been satisfied with factory lube jobs - wonder how feasible it would be to lube low-profile switches.
I don't like silent switches - they're always too mushy because of the dampening materials.
I can't seem to find information about this online but does the non-pro version include the 2.5GHz dongle?
I believe it does - the product page doesn’t differentiate between the two in terms of connectivity 👍🏻
I have it, yes it does, it just doesn't go into the keyboard anywhere, it's packaged seperately in keyboard box. :)
@VeniuEN thanks for confirming! ✌🏻
Is there a big difference between the redgold switches and the specter from lofree?
Not huge - the Spectre is probably a little smoother, but there’s really nothing wrong with the Gold Red switches either
it looks and sounds lovely

Question, silent switches are linear or tactile?
Do the pom switches affect the rgb presentation much?
Good question - yes the case colour of any switch will impact the appearance of the RGB, but primarily in terms of Hue not brightness. @ Good to know, thanks for the info
@seasonedpeasons4952 no problem 👍🏻 Happy to help
How is the polling rate 1000hz with a 6ms response? Am i missing something? Should be 1ms or less at 1000hz
A keyboard's "polling rate" refers to how often it sends information about key presses to the computer, essentially determining how frequently it checks for new inputs, while "latency" is the delay between the moment a key is pressed and when the computer registers that input.
@@JakeReevesVideo a higher polling rate directly translates to a faster response time. 1000hz should be a 1ms response time.
There is a difference between how frequently trains leave a station (polling rate) and how long the tip is (latency).
I love my IQUNIX Magi 65Pro
I’m considering this and trying to compare against Nuphy Air 60 v2 and Keychron k7. Any recommendations?
I haven’t tried the K7, but I have the Air60HE and the Air 75V2. Both are nice keyboards, but I think the Magi65 is a step ahead in terms of build quality…
does the normal one have rgb and the 2.4 dongle aswell, or its just for the pro version?
Hi there, thanks for your support! Both models are Tri-mode, and you'll find the 2.4GHz receiver included in the package.
What are some good clicky switches compatible with this keyboard?
If you can get your hands on them somewhere, Kailh used to make a Wizard clicky switch that was from the same Phantom lineup. I’ve never tried it, but if it’s like the others, I would expect to like it 👍🏻
Can I put full size switches into this keyboard?
I am about to receive this keyboard. And I am planning to potentially lube the switches and stabilizers. I love THOCK sounds, what switches would you recommend for the best THOCK and where can I get them. Thank you for your video it was really well done!
What switches felt the best on this keyboard ?
My personal preference if I had the choice of any would probably be the Phantoms - I like their smooth and tactile feedback
Link for the hades silent switches?
They will be available from LoFree - but I don’t believe they are released yet, as the company is till fulfilling their Kickstarter
@@JakeReevesVideogot it. Thank you. I really like those so I’ll keep an eye on their website.
@Nard313 I think they are going to be very popular 👍🏻

@alexg963 I think you’ll fine the Magi65 build quality is far superior to the K-series by Keychron.
It's too tacky for me, but also have a few Q series boards to play LEGO with until I can get my hand on a custom Dactyl Manuform. : >
