When doing a top end replacement, is there a certain brand of piston and gaskets you prefer?

On Japanese bikes, I always prefer Pro X and Cometic!

videos with commentary are much more effective than music overdub. Some key info is lost that could be catastrophic like piston ring assembly, position and ring end gap just to name one.

      1) This video was in NO WAY A How-To video. It doesn't say anything about being instructional or a how-to ANYWHERE.
      2) This is one of the first videos on this channel, back before any of this was planned, for my own and customers records.
      3) I don't always have time to spend 11 hours shooting and editing a video for instructional purposes
      4) Many times people just need a small snippet of information that can be seen from visuals.
      5) Thanks for your feedback.

I have discovered a finger nail deep vertical scratch on my 09 rmz 250 cylinder. It was running a little bit on low compression but ridable. Can i just reassemble the motor together and keep rinding until i can get a new cylinder and piston for her? How dangerous can this vertical scratch be?

You can, but you risk catastrophic failure than can damage more parts.

Just pulled my motor apart last night. Was worried about the chain guides. One of them came out with the jug. Is there a specific way they go?

Yes there is. But it's pretty easy to see when you go to assemble.

Why not pull engine before disassemble

Why pull engine for a simple top end?
