I’m about to attempt a top end on my Husky SMR450, head gasket has gone pumping cooling out. It’s got 9000 kms on it so will do the piston and rings also. Wish me luck. 🤞
I literally am trying to do my top end on mine and I put new valves and springs in mine and it’s like my bike is locked but when I remove the head it kicks But with head on it’s too much compression no one can kick it over
Thank you very mutch. I have more hope to rebuild the top end on my rmz 250 and that is great👍🤝

HI, thanks for the videos!! Will this be the same procedure for the 2011 rmz 2011?
Very similar, specs may be different. Be sure to reference your service manual.
Thanks, I meant 250 from 2011 :-) I will look up the specs ✌️
Thas cool my 2009 450 lock to us like couple hours ago so soon y take it a part for see thanks😊
Sorry to hear it
Great content, Rooster! Thank you!
Any idea what the root cause was for the damage to the piston and cylinder? It looked melted to me but not sure.
Thank you. My guess is it wasn’t installed correctly and the oil control rings rolled out of the grove.
Such great videos!

I got this same issue on my bike 🤦🏽♂️ the motor locked up
Pretty common
I literally am trying to do my top end on mine and I put new valves and springs in mine and it’s like my bike is locked but when I remove the head it kicks
But with head on it’s too much compression no one can kick it over
Does it turn a little and lock or is it locked right away?
It is the same procedure for the rmz 250 2006
Yes
One Kick!
Yeah, that doesn’t happen too often.
