- Wonderful performance by the late Johnny Cash, backed by The Tennessee Three and featuring the great Marty Stuart!
1) I Walk The Line
2) Doin' My Time
3) Tennessee Stud
my biggest musical regret is not getting to a Johnny Cash show.
What a night that was. I love this man and I miss him every single day. When he left, our world was forever changed. I am grateful to him for the gifts he left each and everyone of us through his music.
Such a voice on that man Johnny Cash! Just unreal! No one else like him, ever!!
This was refreshing to come across, especially after suffering through the CMA show this week on TV. Johnny Cash and Marty Stuart are the real deal.
Shout out to the sound guy for getting the slap back on Johnny's vocals. Great performance 🎼👍🏼
Cash was one man in all of country; there was no one else like him or to equal him for his creations and singing. Marty Stuart grew up in that world since he was a talented boy and he IS the real deal.
Been and will remain a Cash Fan since '55.
I couldn’t have said any better. So very true!
Watching this video it is easy to see why Johnny Cash was such a respected and revered performer.
Wish I was around then. I was ..but didn't pay attention. Now I love him and it is too late.💔

Marty is a real anchor for country music. There are more out there, but Marty's the main man.
AND......Patty Loveless is the top country music lady out there. Waylon said: Living legends are a dying breed." Marty, Patty, Vince, Willie, Kris, Emmylou...hang in there guys & gals. You're about all that's keeping real country music alive.
Marty is my Nabor from Philadelphia Ms.
Totally agree with u, it's sad that he doesn't get the accolades or rewards for everything he's done!! He keeps country music real n plays it like it's meant to be
Totally wonderful video! I’m enjoying it again the end of January 2024. ❤❤
He´s so Enormous that nobody can introduces himself...Johnny Cash
Love johnny cash Marty Stuart thanks for all music 2019 Oct god bless you both
Now that's Country music ! These players today's need to go back to Country 101 and stop with that bubble gum, poppy B. S.
The Marty Party was an excellent program! I still miss TNN!
Never gets old.
Just great music and great people.
He had me by saying: Hello I'm Johnny Cash...
Johnny “Has Us ALL!!!
@@joycebrannen1943 Hello!!! How are you doing today! Please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you're a fan!....Stay safe!!!
Marty Stuart playing Clarence White's Tele...awesome!
When Johnny Cash says, your appreciated...You know you've done your job well
I love when he says if I was here 30 years ago I'd show them how to climb a wall
John's voice just got more silky smooth with age
Perfect introduction. Such respect! Oh how cool it would have been to have seen this live. RIP man in black!
Yeah, I guess this is why Marty seems to be the “go to” guy for showcase-style shows, interviews, and fundraisers. I think he had a big part in planning the big livestreamed concert @ the Country Music Hall of Fame and Musuem in September 2020. Everything was shut down tight. Hard time. The show featured country musicians as well as😊 museum technicians who maintain the instruments just right. Marty played in several duos - so nice.
The concert was up on RUclips, but it hasn’t popped up recently. Guess it’s time to check it out again.😊
One of the best performances of Johnny Cash on TV!!!!!!
I've seen other clips where he says he started out with "two musicians". The two musicians were Marshall Grant and Luther Perkins. Without those two, we probably wouldn't have a Johnny Cash. I know he had a falling out and a court case with Marshall, but they had patched things up by 1995.
Marty opens up playing Clarence White's B-Bender. Coincidentally, Marty played with Clarence's brother, Roland White, in the Lester Flatt band. Also, the White Bros were in a couple of Andy Griffith episodes as "The Country Boys" band.
Sez the dude whose avatar is Trump that bitch. I dig
First Song is not Ring of fire
You're right! Don't know how I got that wrong. Fixed it now

The first two songs are obviously classic Johnny Cash tunes but him preforming solo The Tennessee Stud solo now that’s priceless!

Hello!!! How are you doing today! Please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you're a fan!....Stay safe!!!
You can see the reverence in Marty when he's around Johnny.
I WAS LUCKY TO HAVE SEEN HIM LIVE HERE IN LONDON HIS JOHNNY CASH SHOW WAS NOT TO BE MISSED THANKS JOHN.
Marty,is the best artist today,in country music. He's a preservationist of real country music, also.
oh yeah you're right....we need a lot more artist like him...
it just nice that we can get all that good music.music and artists that we would never have heard about.i find something new every day
Marty should be in Country Music Hall of Fame.
Yes he's been around a long time (Marty) and I always wondered why he's not invited to the Country Awards etc. He outshines all of them, he started out real young and was always country til later more rock too. Love Connie Smith too!
I admire Marty's respect for Johnny Cash. I know it's sincere. Marty & Johnny...WOW !!
Most of my family loved Johnny Cash and my kids watched the Johnny Cash Show on TV
where there was a train in the background. My eldest who was about 3 or 4 would run from whatever room he was in when he heard that train and just stand in front of the TV and watch Johnny Cash sing. My mom loved Marty Stuart and watched him on TV and now he still has his own Nashville area TV show with Connie Smith there too and special guests,
which I cannot get at this time. Very disappointing! That's why I'm on youtube trying to find it now.!
I'm in tears....greatness....much love and respect for the Man in Black. Sending love and continued blessings to all of his family, friends, and fans. Huge hug and all good things!!!!
The electricity between these two almost blew out the transformer on my block 😜 (Marty out fashions J.R.) ❤️❤️❤️❤️
He had a cool jacket...but them pants with the boots over the top....I dunno
I wish I could've used a time machine and seen him even he was loaded
Love Johnny cash he was great such a good singer love love him
The Best!❤ Only one JOHNNY CASH Forever 😉👍
I love Johnny Cash can't explain it any better than that
what a show. johnny cash is one of my heroes. marty stuart is lucky to have met and performed with the man in black. R.I.P Johnny Cash!
Love these older stars nobody like them again Johnny cash great what a man of country real contry
The Documentary of him in Holy Land...All who loved him, should see what led to some beautiful gospel music!
Such a great show! I saw Johnny in concert in 1994 or 1995 in Jacksonville, FL, and he had the same cool train background at the show I attended. I have been to many, many concerts over the years, but getting to see Johnny cash was the highlight.
I met quite a few famous country singers, George Jones, Mel Tillis, Ray Price, Charlie Pride, Roy Clark, Willie Nelson, Johnny and Tommy Cash... I've seen them all in concert a ton of times... I mean I've seen all the greats Waylon, Hag, Jones, Cash... you name a legend and I've seen them perform a dozen times... But old Marty got to be close and hang out, and perform with all of those people and then some!!! I couldn't even imagine that... just meeting some of those folks was life changing for me- I couldn't even imagine the stories Marty Stewart has.
I have seen a lot of them in concert, including Marty. I never got to see Johnny and June. Wow.
Meeting all of those guys has been one of the finer points in my life. I love telling the stories of meeting these legends so much that I've been known to talk about it even to random strangers...lol. My wife just rolls her eyes and giggles when I trap someone into listening to me. A friend of mine was a DJ and local entertainer which is why I was fortunate enough to have met all of the people I met. When you love the music as much as I do meeting people that you idolized your whole life was amazing to me beyond words. Like I said I can't imagine the stories Marty Stewart must have!! I'm sorry that you never got to see Johnny and June live, they had a stage presence unlike anything I've seen. Johnny was a remarkable performer. My buddy Frank always used to say "if Johnny Cash told you to go to hell you would be excited about the trip" hahaha.
KLUNKET Johnny Cash June. Carter. Cash

Great to see Marty Stuart and Johnny Cash together years back. Love both of them and my whole family does!

Marty Stuart is a great talent and wit. He says, "most of what I learned from you got me into trouble." And Cash says, Marty didn't learn to "twitch". Great video. Thanks.

I just love Marty's jacket
He didn't mention Luther
J C:s my idol.
Bob Wooten & Marty Stewart trying to outdo each other on the electric guitar but they were having fun on "Doing my time ". They had a great time with this video. Luther Perkins is sadly missed. That wasn't Marshall Grant OR it didn't look like him anyway IF it was he lost alot of weight and changed his looks.
What a great song performed by the Greatest "doing time"!
God bless Johnny Cash!!
Good Bless Him!
The badass in black!
Johnny Cash j’adore sûrement un des meilleurs dans le genre

Real and Relevant Spirit, to our very deep core. R.I.P Mr. Cash
Marty is a "cool cat" because he hung out with a very "cool cat"; Johnny. I wrote and perform a song as a tribute to Johnny. You can hear it, just search using words: Johnny Cash Me and My Heart. Keep up the good work here!
This is the best
Dueling electric guitars. Lol
Bob Wooton & Marty Stewart.
Neither one ain’t gonna let the other out do the other on Doing my time. It was funny. It sounded great

He was a great music Star.
This great time of country music never come back
Country Music can go back to what we loved. Artists just need to tap into their Soul and then Speak to ours! So glad I can Still Listen to Johnny Cash!!!!
Bono of U2 said “Every man knows that he is a sissy compared to Johnny Cash”.
Bono knows it better than any man.
Nothing to say, he says it all😎😥

Luther Perkins Guitar Solos Through the years - ruclips.net/video/nq476TKbR-s/видео.html
hmm..cool stuff but that aint the real Tennessee three. Was Luther Perkins guitar, Marshall Grant bass and W.S Holland who I believe is back there on the drums. No Luther or Marshall.
it may be after Luther died
Luther died in a house fire and Cash fired Grant. And that its Holland is the back.
+monmixer Bob Wootton is the guitarist. Carl Perkins (no relation) came in for a while after Luther's death and then Bob Wootton became the permanent guitarist thereafter.
+johncaves Carl and Luther were related
+jennifur sun OK thank you for the info.

I got to see marty stuart in concert when i was young and it was the best show ive ever seen
Nice one and a young Marty. Saw Johnny with the Highwaymen long ago
Luther Perkins was responsible for the Cash sound.
Johnny Cash was a favorite entertainer of mine. I have an original Sun LP and gave it to my son recently.
It's a shock that John didn't mention: Luther Perkins who created the "boom-chicka-boom" style on his Fender Esquire electric guitar or Marshall Grant that played bass(The Original Tennessee Two). Perkins remained in the band until his untimely death on August 5, 1968. Marshall Grant remained in the band from it's inception in 1954 until 1980 as bass player and road manager. John mentioned A.W. "Red" Kernodle that played steel guitar but never recorded with the band.
Jonny Cash recordado por siempre
I won’t back don johney cash karaoke
I meet Johnny in 1977 with his son at the Nashville State Fair. He was just walking down the midway and he stopped and said "hi, I'm Johnny Cash." He asked where I was from and when I told him my dad loved him, he asked if I wanted a picture together. He was the nicest guy.
Is that Nokie Edwards of the Ventures with that red guitar?
Thats Bob wootton
wootton can throw that muted POS gtr in the trash- tele please! :P
