nice (except for the car wash bit; so many wrong things). I really wish Subaru kept the 5" round fog lights as a signature look. it really sets off the "means business" look of the car.
Nice job with the lowering. Now, how does it handle? I find the steering rack to be slow, but not so slow as to allow me to forget the softness, if you will, of the stock outback. I put my H6 project / work car on legacy struts, and stock coils, but seems to still be soft. Also, god seed on those rear quarters, I rebuilt mine but it took a week every day after work to do it.
I have an H6 project now too. This car in the video ended up getting hit by an old lady and with the insurance money I got, I bought a rust free H6 outback. I've transferred all the parts and coilovers and more new stuff to the H6 car and continuing the Outback build with that car. You can check the progress on my instagram @Lowr_OB As for the handling, it handles quite well. The steering is a bit slow. But you can swap your rack out for another Subaru rack to quicken it up. The OB racks are 19:1, Legacy/WRX is about 16.1:1. Older STI is 15:1, with 15+ being 13:1. Best/easiest swap is 04 STI, direct fit, 15:1 ratio
It looks nice. Personally I'd do this to a Legacy Wagon. Unless you really like the Outback body panels I don't see why you'd lower a vehicle that was specifically designed with extra ground clearance. I like the JDM headlights and the MOMO steering wheel.
Because I wanted everything Outback about it (panels, bumpers, fog lights, stronger trans), but not the taller struts/springs. Only legacy stuff I wanted was the JDM hood/grille/headlights/taillights. But no worries, lowered Outbacks arent for everyone! I love it
In the video there is a muffler delete. Dumps at the rear axle. As for the rest, its Unequal Length Headers for the classic subue rumble. No cats, just a long (26") MBRP resonator
It doesn't. Just have the Rev D GTB hood/lights/grille installed. This car was actually totalled in a crash. It lives on now though as a rust free H6 car, with ALOT going on this winter. Interior, exterior, new suspension, whole nine yards. Feel free to follow along on Instagram! @Lowr_OB
I appreciate the reply, its easier than starting with a legacy to get to this point, and it comes with the 6 cylinder, which the Legacy didn't at the time. But have a better rest of your day!
The typical JDM importers. Otherwise VG Tuning makes reps of alot of stuff and they have a widebody offering. Fenderist though makes a better widebody, that's the one I ended up buying
I have since replaced this shell with an H6 shell. But transferred everything from this one to that one. Coilovers, thicker front and rear sway bars, JDM Rev D Hood/Grille/Lights, Ganador axleback, featured in the video are C4 Corevette Sawblades but I now have Rays Gramlights, LGT front and rear brakes, STI seats, JDM black ring Momo Bag in an H6 steering wheel (woodgrain), STI 5 speed shift knob, JDM taillights, factory option wing. There's more I'm sure I'm forgetting, but follow me on Instagram, @Lowr_OB. I have ALOT of parts that are uninstalled waiting to go on
I just sold my 2000 Outback. It was slow and rusty, but I loved having it for 13 years.
THE BEST OUTBACK MODEL EVER
I've owned two of those. Love'em!
me too! Sad they're gone. Now I have a new model full of gadgets. It just takes away that driving pleasure
This is a great video I'm surprised there isn't more views
Thank you
Love the car especially the corvette saw sawblade wheels!
My first outback was silver now I just bought a green 1 limited love it
Love it to hear!
Sweet ride, clean profile, and nice upgrades. I just picked one up. Already getting ideas. 🍻
Damn I need someone to do a feature like this for my lgt wagon

because you can't get an ez30 gen 3 legacy in the US until 2026, so either swap a legacy or make do with an h6 outback
What are your performance mods power wise?
That car is so beautiful it's a 1998 30th anniversary wish I had to finance to get mine done just like that 😭😭😭😭😞
Great video, thanks for sharing.
How did you make it sound like that? Muffler delete or what?
In the video there is a muffler delete. Dumps at the rear axle. As for the rest, its Unequal Length Headers for the classic subue rumble. No cats, just a long (26") MBRP resonator

Odds N Ends Media oh okay I’ll check them out! Thanks 🙏
Yoo it has the twin turbo engine as well?
I'd love to see a review of this particular vehicle 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hey I have a 2003 Subaru Outback limited sedan H-6 3.0 vdc edition if you are interested.?
What head lights are those?
JDM Revision D (facelift) HIDs with the optional masks. Painted to match
I'm a bit late to the party, but did those corvette wheels fit on your stock hubs or did you have to make some modifications?
Adapters!
1 inch 5x100-5x120.7 adapters
Let's get a lifted chassis car and then slam it.
Of course!
I appreciate the reply, its easier than starting with a legacy to get to this point, and it comes with the 6 cylinder, which the Legacy didn't at the time. But have a better rest of your day!
Corvette wheels??? Ehhhh *slaps face*
What are these wheels! I need them in my life!
From Corvette.. no??

What song is this?

Imported from Japan. It's an aluminum JDM Revision D GTB hood
What’d you use to wire the jdm headlight? I have a set I just don’t know what fuse and wiring to get
Mahalo
If you have Instagram, DM me on there, I will walk you through it. @Lowr_OB
I have the same car but its a sedan model with a 6 cylinder
All of these parts will be transferred to my rust free H6 wagon and then manual swapped
Are you using coil-overs? What kind. I’m trying to trow some on my 03 Outback thanks.
Just Godspeeds. Follow the progress on insta @Lowr_OB
Dominic Wocken are they any good?
@@subarubuildz1738 better than you'd think lol. Will probs be getting new ones soon
Where did you get that steering wheel from?
I believe it is from a JDM Legacy Outback, not 100% sure though
I tried looking online they are impossible to find
@@subarubuildz1738 correction its an LL bean outer part of the steering wheel, with a jdm wrx airbag
Ok thanks
do you have a muffler?
Yes. Brand is SRS. I have sound clips on my instagram @Lowr_OB
I need help to restore my 2001 Subaru Legacy Outback
does anyone know anywhere i can get body extensions / kits for the subaru outback? what cars are their stuff compatable with
Fenderist makes some killer kits!
The typical JDM importers. Otherwise VG Tuning makes reps of alot of stuff and they have a widebody offering. Fenderist though makes a better widebody, that's the one I ended up buying

Lowr_ob
Amyone know what hood is that
What brand wheels are those
Factory wheels off of a 90-91 Corvette. 17x9.5
I almost like the front end of the legacy outback a little more. I just like ratty old cars
Бомба👍
