    I couldn't imagine plowing with horses 280 acres. Specially on a hot humid day. That is some serious hard work. I saw one video where they were using a steam engine. Felt like I was in the early 1920s

    Nice to see how that plow copes with rocky ground. Been wanting the single bottom version myself.

    Little frank the mule needs about 40 more acres to plow. That’s a nice plow. Beautiful garden.

    Many people do not understand -- 'These Draft teams look forward to the duty under the HARNESS', and those who work well with them. Do not attempt to discredit their endeavor!!

    My 63 old sister with a used 300.00 dollar Troy built rotor tiller turned over her garden plot 5 weeks ago ... No man or horses needed and no animals to feed year around.....

    Is someone off camera pulling all of the boulders, rocks and debris out of the soils as it’s tilted. Thanks

    Your horses work hard for you the least you could do is brush them before you take them to work.

      Will get around to that right after the 16 hour work day is done. Sleep is way overrated.

    Why is he only using on side of that two way plow//

    • @LancoAmish
      @LancoAmish  11 месяцев назад

      He was using both sides later in the video when it was possible to turn the team around without damaging the ground. The beginning part of the video he didn’t want to circle the team onto the newly seeded lawn area. Thanks for watching and asking.

      The horses may have their halters on if they’re going to be used to work later.

    That rig looks very uncomfortable for thise horses. It hits their legs in a bad spot. They deserve a good warm bath and brushing and some treats like apples

      Draft horses have been bred for centuries to work. They love to work and they are much healthier than drafts that do not work. They are extremely powerful and 2 are 3 times as powerful as 1 able to pull 24,000 pounds. Their power teamed together is not a linear function but more like exponential. If you would spend time around draft animals that work your opinion would change. There’s no need to feel sorry for them. Feel sorry for the out of shape and overweight draft pets.

      I'd say this team is living the dream. You can tell they love the work by how the one is scratching the ground in anticipation. They are well fed and healthy. Not too far away are some industrial type pig farms with plenty of animals that deserve pity.

      What is sad is the notion that work is cruel. Look where's gotten us.

      Im not complaining about the working part but let a chain or strap rub up and down your leg while pulling against it for about 15 minutes much less all day and see how your leg feels.
