Got an epic DayZ video coming up, we had a lot of funny moments and action last night :D Also, I think I saw a ghost at one point... Was pretty scary though.

It would be really cool if eventually they expanded on the medication system to the point that there was a series of different drugs and some could actually effect your character if used in excess like withdrawal or if you could trick someone into taking acid or something just to make them start hallucinating or forcibly sedate someone xD. This game has so much potential it makes my head spin

DayZ needs a big zombie boss to fight. Where bigger groups of people needs to gather to fight them off. and then they can gather loot from there. Zombies seems to be the lowest threat in this game currently.

thats so dumb, this isnt world of warcraft or resident evil, its a realistic survival game

Jack may know this now, but for those who don't:
Any time you use alcohol tincture directly on your wounds to clean them and you haven't done so after a message like "my wounds feel itchy", it will temporarily make you read as 'sick' in your inventory status.
However, it's not like true 'sick' status (such as from an infected wound, or eating rotten fruit), in that it will eventually go away on its own, and without much blood loss (maybe none at all).
This is what happened to Jack in the video. If you notice in the clip in which he gets sick, right when that scene starts there was a message that he had just cleaned his wounds with tincture.
"that's a bit unprofessional. i come to see the doctor and you are eating a can of tuna". =)
Maybe the Megalodon is hiding near that carrier. ;)

the game is in pre pre alpha so the gameplay may be pretty boring and not much different from this play through, however im sure jack will find something to show us in dayz like always.

Hey Jack! Audio Engineering tip: You should use a Hi-Pass above 100hz in all your voice tracks! It will eliminate unwanted sub bass and make dialogue clearer! Great video!
You could make some Looting Guides, im a noob and i cant find weapons and ammo ^^
i assume you're going into full servers, all loot doesn't respawn so i advice going into a smaller population server then you'll find it easier to get loot.

Just got done playing an hour of DayZ and so far I have had to kill everyone on sight since they either try and axe my face or shoot me...
for some reason I was so amused and jack being amused at flipping the bird. I'm not sure who it is but the rage is hilarious too.
I downloaded the Day Z Standalone and the Arma II Collection + Mod DayZ, Was so excited when they finished downloading. I go to play them.... 2 FPS.... Fml and my graphics card

DoozyJr I was exagerating but yeah its very badly optimized. Its not constant 10 fps the issue is that i get ~60 and every 10 seconds it stutters really badly

As much as I don't want to be a KoS dick, it seems in this game there's no other way. You are required to shoot anyone who has a fire arm or else there's a VERY high chance you might die otherwise. Possible exception when the guy doesn't know where are you hiding and you give him a chance to let you know his intentions.
I will of course won't attack a new spawn, but armed guys... Lost my patience trusting them. It seems pretty common for people to say "I'm friendly, I'm friendly!" And then shoot you in the back.
Its the way humans thinks fault. By KOS someone that has a weapon you get loot, and you take away a possible threat that you know off. By leaving them alive, you get no loot and theres a chance of someone killing you. Only a small chance that they will team up. I try to avoid it though
Destroyer120296 there should be some sort of punishment for killing players to enforce people to at least try to cooperate and leave shooting as the last resort. So they would think like "shit..." after murdering someone.
RobiePAX it's a great idea for a gameplay mechanic, but if you really look at it, the only thing stopping us from killing a person are our moral values, at least if you consider the situation you're in in dayz (where there is no police or other institution that might punish you).
I agree i ran into this guy and we both had loaded up m4s. After bit of talking we managed to both put away are weapons. I told him see ya and started to walk away. Right when i turned around he shot me in back. I dont agree with your second comment because dayz is a zombie simulator which means you have the freedom to do anything.
Let me give you a tip Human's are dicks if you don't know you they will go to all ends of the earth to end you in dayz :D i mean if you litteraly only had ONE life that would regenerate once like every 24 hours or maybe even 42 maybe then people would be nicer to each other

some of the early episode they did together have been proven to be scripted yes. Frankie had access to Admin tools. All that cinematic business of flying between maps and that other bullshit. I personally don't want to watch stuff like that. i prefer raw gameplay. Thats my preference

On the Airfield, everyone is an enemy. There's too much good loot to risk playing friendly when you're at NW.
Samuel Agan I agree to an extent. I've met equally as many friends as enemies on the airfields. At the North-West Airfield, yes everyone with a gun is a threat. At the Bulota Airfield you can afford to hold people up.
Twebet I agree with your statement. Reason being for Balota is probably because most people going in are fresh spawns who have nothing to lose even if they do have a weapon. They can afford to be nice.

I really don't understand what the point of dayz would be without PvP. Some people should risk being friendly, sure. But most should KOS. The game would be boring otherwise.

This game is going to be strong contender for Game of the year in 2015 , when it'll be finally done . Even in pre alpha state , this game is so much fun and polished (At least for alpha and more than EA's products)

Jack, apparently, when you clean your wounds, you'll get sick until it says in green "My wounds are clean now" and then the sickness will be gone.
