Some teams are greater than the sum of their parts, England in Euro 2024 are the complete opposite of that. No shots on target in 95 minutes. We got through from a moment of magic and a Kane goal. We proceeded despite Southgate being in charge. This was a truly awful performance.

It was his first tournament 6 years ago, we were forgiving to him because he was supposedly learning on the job. But that disgrace against Italy at Wembley in 2021 was the final straw. He should’ve been sacked then.
The fact Southgate said he was worried about conceding a second rather than chnaging the game for us for the better, just shows he is riddled with fear in all his managerial decisions.

What is Southgate on, he said they were in control, who do you take off. If you exclude the offside goal England had zero shots on target until Bellingham scored. He mentions Foden, Bellingham & Kane but really up until that one moment of brilliance by Bellingham the trio have given nothing all tournament. Making 90th minute subs when you are chasing the result is mind boggling. Southgate is completely delusional.
It wasn't the Bellingham goal that saved england it was the ref adding on 6minutes injury time. Were he got 6minutes form is anyone's guest.
His stock answer is that England "were in control". It is baffling how he cannot see the flaws in his regime.

We need to run teams out for the first half with complete fresh legs and bring on the kanes and Bellinghams if needed. If southgate does that he could well be a risky, gambling genius

Your other suggestions are exactly what I'd do, but I'd also drop Kane for Toney or Watkins. But could you imagine Southgate dropping Bellingham, (quite rightly) the nation's darling, let alone England's captain. Be it arrogance or fear, Southgate won't change his approach, and the post-match interview from the Slovakia match shows that he thinks the result of that match confirms the soundness of his convictions.

I feel for the players. Most of them, particularly the “front 6” are used to comfortably beating the calibre of opposition they have faced in this tournament week-in-week-out. It must be eating them up that they are being sent out game after game with a mentality, shape and tactics that makes them look like mugs rather than giving them the opportunity to showcase their talents on the international stage.

Saka, a wide player who is terrified of taking players on and getting to the barline?! He's the worst wide player at the Tournament. Every other wide player i've seen at this Tournament looks to beat full backs and get to the bar line and get a cross in. Saka has done it 2 times in the first game, one leading to Bellingham's goal against Serbia. Since then, he doesn't want to do it.

I think Kane and Rice arent doing it. Suppose people can say Kanes scored but I dont think we'd have been in that position if someone else was up front. Every game hes dropped deep and Fodens gone central, its kane whos dragging players all over and isnt pressing either. Rice has barely played a ball to feet or positively.. Id have Mainoo and Bellingham in the middle, Foden behind Kane, Gordon left Saka right.. Id personally drop Kane but it isnt happening

We need a team, not just 11 players whom Southgate favors. Sadly, this reflects the British curse perpetuated by media obsession with individual players and, worse yet, money. The additional 10-20 minutes of playtime in the Premier League last season (to help increase commercial/sponsor time) actually weakened players and made them more injury-prone. It’s no wonder that top players now appear as if they belong to a lower-tier league. The FA and Southgate seem to be shooting themselves in the foot ,something that has existed for many years, As Eric Cantona warned " They kill us for their sport"
