I always by from Electric Dreams, Slot Car Corner, and a couple of others for the very reason you have stated. Thank you for encouraging that people do. Good on you mate! Great video!
I watched the NSR Mosler video first. I noticed that the Carrera car seemed louder than the NSR. Was that just me or did you (or someone else) notice it too. I know that a lot of Carrera front tires are harder than others and are grooved to look like real ones and that makes noise when going down the track. Did Carrera say that was a Group 5 or DTM car?
It's an interesting slot car and, as you say, Carreras are respectable racers out of the box. I am pleased this one has lights as an Evolution model as I thought Carrera had stopped doing this with the non digital version? Personally, I'd go for the more modern DTMs and the GT3s - there's so much choice - and this really because of the more rounded aero shapes but then that is just me. I agree that the finish at the back is below Carrera's usual high standards. I am wondering whether this is an old mould they are breathing new life into - as with the Pantera cars?
I love the "duct tape" detail at the top of the rear window . Stunning model .
They have done a great job
