Salami and Slater...thanks for the great content and taking the time to make it/post it. Slot cars are also seasonal for me but it is that time again to get all those 'beer props' in place, plug in the power supply, and try to keep the cars on the track. I really enjoy the Carrera Torinos. I've got the #76 (same as Slater's) and it is a blast to drive. Driving these cars actually takes some skill which is what makes them fun to drive (or crash while developing those skills and/or using beer props). Thanks again for the great content. I'll be posting some content soon. I am looking for some 1/24 F1 cars. Carrera used to make them but no more (probably build one from scratch but I like the 'open box, put car an track, and go' process). Be careful with those prop beers. I keep a garbage can full of those outside...you may have heard them when I drove the X-Maxx into it...lol. Cheers, Jeff (Garage Maker Guy)
Hey Jeff, been a while. Totally looking forward to seeing progress on your track this fall/winter and also those custom 1/24 F1s if you're able to make that happen. We run our 1/24 Corvettes every once in a while and love 'em. Definitely a big change from the 1/32. Also, we do have a garbage can for the empties that we can run R/C cars into but aren't too vigilant about using it. If you've seen our video on building a driver's stand for our R/C track you've seen a good example of that. If not, here's a link: ruclips.net/video/GSUd3Lbaqvs/видео.html
Really good review, its good seeing how they perform on a real track with folks that know how to test them and do more than just "will it go fast and do good lap times"
I have an evolution set and just bought the digital wireless dtm track. Started doing some research and found you guys, cracked me up from the start, instantly subscribed! Great content
@@johnniehobby your favorite, most used pieces other that straighs when building a track. Thanks for the help. I'm finding it difficult building circuits.
@@b1657568 If I had to add more track other than straights, it would probably be flat radius 3 turns. They are large enough where you can carry a lot of speed, but still need to mind the brakes and throttle to negotiate it well.
Hi Johnie, Would you mind me asking what lapcounting set-up you have? I've got an old SRT system (DOS-based) from the 80's-90's and am interested in upgrading to something more modern with a big screen. Thanks man! Steve
The software is called HSSRMS and it's running on Windows 10 but I know it runs on Windows 7 and probably XP as well. It's not very processor-intensive so you don't need a super fast PC. Info on that program and accessories to wire it to the track is here: www.hrwforum.com/forum/hrw-all-scales/club-home-connection/carrera-digital-north-america/4472-hssrms-thread-home-for-faq-discussion-on-bruce-y-s-pc-based-carrera-digital-t-s
Been a while, thought y'all fell victim to the COVID, glad to see you're still having fun. Question: are there any semi-truck stock chassis to race? That might be cool. 😎
Not victims of the COVID, just slot cars is seasonal for us. Spent the summer outside racing R/C trucks. As far as semis for the slot car track I've not seen anything for Carrera. Other manufacturers might have rigs, though.
Gonna have to get some of those to run with the Dodge Charger Daytona’s. Agree that they are really fun to drive, you can’t just mash down the throttle it has to be “driven” Molsen would be a good sponsor for you guys, eh!?
Ive got the carrera Corvette Stingray..........1967 I think? It is even narrower with the skinniest tires ever.................the sucker is fast if you can somehow keep it on track.........Ive had it broadslide all the way down a straighaway and still stay in the slot..............that's at the 3 beer level at least.
Ive got a Torino and a Nascar Charger................they have to race against each other. They are big and clumsy and tend to destroy gaurdrails heavily..........."novelty" carrera cars are neat but tend to be slow as slugs around track.............I put quikslicks on most all cars and the Nascar rigs need fatter rear tires for sure.................the GT style cars absolutely smoke most other carrera cars.................slot it cars blow them all away by a big margin.
I'm so psyched I found this awesome channel! I'm just getting into 1/32 slot cars (always been HO) so this channel has been a great help.
Excellent! Welcome to 1/32. Glad our vids are helping. Keep us posted on your progress.
This is only vid that makes me want a carerra set AND a beer..... Lol.
Right on!

Thanks for the comment.
Great Show Love the Ford Torino. Best looking Ford,
Biggest tank Ford ever built. Long hood, long trunk, long heavy body. That's what Nascar was like back then.

Those are super cool I'm converting a 25ft travel trailer just for the purpose of racing stuff like these.
You are putting a slot car track in a travel trailer?
Y'all have way too much fun!
Thanks for letting us know. We weren't aware. We'll try to tone it down in the future. LOL.
I Love the 1/32scale Carrera sets with digtal slot cars but im invested big time in Ho sclae cars and tracks.
Another AWESOME VIDEO!!!

You guys looked like you had a lot of fun (and a few beers!) testing and reviewing these cars.😂 Really enjoyed the video😎👍🇦🇺
Always a good time filming a slot car vid. BTW, those weren't real beers, but prop beers. We don't drink ;)

We'd jump at the chance to have Molson sponsor us. One can dream, right?
That was great guys'
Great cars too bad they’re not chevys.... btw how come I don’t feel like they’re prop beers after a race night?

Is it considered drunk driving if you're driving slot cars while drinking?
Yes, but the citation is only 1/32 scale, so it's no big deal.
@@johnniehobby Better off drunk driving HO cars like me. It's only half the fine for drunk driving:)
Man... You guys spend way too much time together.
