- Not scheduled on the community page, but a bonus video here as the last very large tide of 2023 hits on the Taw Estuary, firstly a strong surge followed by the waters eventually covering the car park & pedestrian River front. At the end of the video we see a few incidents on the way, if you do see a sheep stuck on its back then do get help or roll it back onto its front to save it from a near certain death, once rolled the sheep will slowly make a full recovery.
Well done for coming to the sheeps rescue. 👍🏻
Was one on an island near Exeter a few weeks back, hard to reach and along a busy A road with no footway, if I can reach them, then it needs to be rescued.
nice !! thanks for helping the sheep!!
Good job on saving the woolly one, it will have farted all that gas out by now...
I remember watching the feature film "Far from the Madding Crowd" with Julie Christie as Bathsheba and Alan Bates playing the shepherd Gabriel Oak where this happens to some of his sheep and Bates (i e Oak) goes round the field with a marline spike puncturing the bellies of the sheep. Despite being a faithful Archers listener, I don't know to this day if that's an approved patent method.
Does this happen all the time when there is high tide?
Only on big springs
Flippin' heck when was this ? i only left there on thursday !
Saturday evening
Maybe that shouldn’t be a car park.
It's for tourists 🤣🤣
